SAMUEL TONG (Francis Ng) stays in the UK to spend a long vacation following his wife’s death. After encountering HOLIDAY HO (Fala Chen), a wanderer who just got dumped, he ends his vacation early and returns to Hong Kong, joining Skylette Airline as a pilot to fly again.

He meets Captain JAYDEN KOO (Julian Cheung), and the two exhibit two distinct personalities, with SAMUEL being reserved and JAYDEN being a man who likes to attract attention.  Respectively, the two get emotionally entangled with HOLIDAY, who arrives in Hong Kong to apply for pilot training.  Moreover, SAMUEL becomes a training captain to assess JAYDEN, leading to a competition between the two for both career and love.

JAYDEN’s younger sister SUMMER HA (Myolie Wu) is an aircraft maintenance technician, and she bears grudges against her brother due to an unhappy experience during her childhood.  ISSAC TONG (Ron Ng), due to SUMMER physically resembling his sister-in-law ZOE so much, cannot turn a blind eye on it, so at last, he helps settle the dispute between SUMMER and her brother.  SUMMER has a crush on ISSAC, yet ISSAC restrains himself from taking another step forward in order to avoid evoking SAMUEL’s grief.

First Officer ROY KO (Kenneth Ma) has two girlfriends and cannot make up his mind as he does not bear to hurt anyone.  After sharing his secret with HEATHER FONG (Elena Kong), a senior purser, ROY and she become close associates, and the two even have a one night stand.   JIM JIM (Him Law), who used to represent Hong Kong in swimming, plans to retire and enroll in flight training, where he falls in love with COCO LING (Nancy Wu), who is to be a surrogate mother for her friend.   With the planes taking-off and landing, stories of sorrow, parting, joyfulness and re-encounters have been constituted.

唐亦琛（吳鎮宇）喪失愛妻，留在英國渡過悠長假期，直至他遇到失戀流浪的何年希（陳法拉），令他提早結束假期回港並加入Skylette航空再次飛翔。認識了機長顧夏陽（張智霖），兩人性格南轅北轍，亦琛內斂，夏陽張揚，二人先後跟到港投考飛行學員的年希發生感情瓜葛，加上亦琛擔任訓練機長考核夏陽，他們在事業和愛情上都有一番較量…

夏陽的妹妹夏晨（胡杏兒）為飛機維修員，因少年不快經歷對哥哥一直心懷怨憤。唐亦風（吳卓羲）發現夏晨酷似嫂嫂蘇怡，無法對她置諸不理，最終幫助兄妹和解。夏晨對他暗生愛意，他卻害怕勾起亦琛之痛，裹足不前…

副機長高志宏（馬國明）有兩個女朋友，難以取捨又不忍傷害。他與高級機艙事務長方芮嘉（江美儀）分享秘密成為知己，最後竟發生一夜情。本是港隊游泳選手的詹子麟（羅仲謙），為退役籌謀投考機師，卻愛上代友懷孕的凌卓芝（胡定欣）……隨著飛機的起落升降，繪成了一段段傷感、離別、喜悅與重逢的故

    Wooot!! I’ve been looking forward to this series ^^ though I have to admit I don’t remember much of the first series… hahaha.
    I really like the cast so hopefully it won’t disappoint~ i mean, saw the first 3 eps and so far, it’s pretty good. 🙂 I like Julian’s character but I have a feeling I won’t like Kenneth’s character much… oyy, cheating does not go well with me -_-

    i remember triumph in the skies 1 from 2003
    i like sam and zoes love story
    but i do not like triumph in the skies 2 much they killed off zoe
    i finished episode 4

    So far I’m loving the storyline. I think fala is super cute here. can’t wait till she gets together with francis 😀

    to be honest i don’t want anyone else to get together with Francis (sam)
    he’s meant for Myolie (zoe )
    they went though a lot in triumph in the skies 1 to finally get married then now comes to triumph in the skies 2 zoe gets killed off
    i waited all these years to see if they had a happy marriage or not but no more Zoe

    it’s a pity that they killed off zoe char in part 2. i still prefer sam and zoe storyline.

    I really love this drama, I like Sam, Chilam, Co Co, Ron, Fala Chan, Elena Kong, Kenneth Ma, Myolie Wu. is my favorite drama,thisis the best drama too!
