The episode and concepts sound quite interesting. The first shot of the series opening reminded me of Face to Fate (did they reuse that picture?), then it occured to me that both of them is about “Fate” and “Destiny”. I really like Steven’s character because he’s really funny to watch. He tricks people to make a living, but still has the good heart to give back people their share as well (referring to the old lady who tricked him return. What a woman! And he actually ate that yucky bread she gave lol I gues he was trying to be nice..?)

Not being really good with the Ancient language (especially when it comes to politics), I was a bit lost in what as going on, but I think I’ve got a general understanding of some sort lol I’m a bit confused how the current king became king though..(they gave him that yellow thing and everyone recognises him as the King? Wasn’t there already a King back then?) Being able to understand the future is bound to bring lots of problems, and the desire to become the king.
Interestingly, Steven tricks Benny in giving him money in exchange for a fake “Future Picture” (thats the name I’m going to refer to, not sure whats it called) which is a picture that holds the fate/future if it can be understood. Because of Benny’s poor prediction about the war; everyone believes him, causing chaos in the town. I guess it comes to show how much people believe in “Fate”..

On a side note, I really like the themesong- sound really catchy and definetly better than the Life Art Themesong.

Hey K, nice to know u like Steven’s character in ACOD. Haha, i think he and Benny are the ones that liven up the series. 🙂
Regarding the king, there was another emperor than but that emperor was useless. 趙匡胤was a general than, he was forced to become the emperor to save the people from war. 🙂
I guess it really helps when watching ancient series to a chinese studies major like me. lol
