[Survivor’s Law 2] Episode 3

Case 1: Ella’s friend played by Yoyo Chen has opened up a new clothing store with her designs. Eileen sues Yoyo for using the designs she claims belongs to her company. Yoyo used to work for Eileen but left and the contract between her and the company was any designs that Yoyo did during her time as employee belonged to the company. This final design was created by Yoyo on the 19th, on the day she gave the resignation letter, but the letter was not processed until 2 days later.

Result: Eileen has the right to impose a temporarily ban on Yoyo in selling that design of clothing in her store.

Hm..this episode was ok, though the case seemed a bit odd or maybe I’ve misunderstood something. I think there was a part 2 in the trial where Yoyo tried to sue Eileen back for “copying” her design which is considered intellectual property.  Kenneth ended up making Eileen admit that she had copied Yoyo’s designs..The two seemed to hate each other so much, yet why at the end did they decide to compromise, apologise and thank each other..and then open a store together? If they were so supportive of each other, why did Yoyo quit in the first place? It didn’t make much sense to me, and the characters seemed unrealistic, but I think I’ll just let it pass. I don’t understand what I’ve been watching, maybe someone can fill me in ^^;

Like SL1, I’m not liking Sammul’s character so far. He seems to have an attitude problem, or strong sense of what he believes is “right” because of the mistake he has made in SL1 and wants to get back his license so he is unable to do anything that is a bit gray. He doesn’t like the way Kenneth wanted to look at Eileen’s phone to find proof of a photo taken. His behaviour is understandable, but I tend to like the way Kenneth handles the situations. It is not “right” but its for a right purpose, if that makes any sense.

Golden Quote: “Doesn’t matter if you win or lose, as long as you don’t lose”. Wasie told Kenneth and Kenneth acted upon it, resulting in a happy ending for them both Yoyo and Eileen. I really like Waise’s character, very friendly, relaxed and ‘wise’. Howeverm I got the impression that there’s something more to the history of Waise. What happened four years ago? Is he really a witty lawyer, or was he, like Eileen, had lost his true skill and talents as a lawyer? Or am I just thinking too much?

Case 2: Kenneth’s friend who is a “magician” is sued by his female assistant for sexual harassment while he was performing his magic show.
