Synopsis:
Years of Upheaval
Lingering Love and Hate
A story about the integrated Chinese family of Glamour and Decadence
Wah Man-Hon (Damien Lau), Wah Man-Hung (Liao Jing Sheng) and Wah Man-Shek (Michael Miu) were all born in mainland China. But as a result of the massive political upheaval and the profound misunderstanding among them, the three brothers have fallen out and now live apart in Hong Kong, Beijing and Canada respectively.
Hon’s business goes down the pan in the aftermath of the Asian Financial Turmoil. The only saving grace is that members of the Wah’s from around the world, including Hon’s son Wah Chun-Bong (Raymond Lam ) and Hung’s son Wah Chun-Man (Feng Shao Feng), can finally put their prejudice aside and become reconciled with one another. To realize the century-old dream of the family, they decide to work together to develop the local automobile industry.
After ten years of struggle, the Wahs have established its own brand of limousine – a brand the whole Chinese nation is proud of. They make a significant and ongoing contribution to China’s automobile industry for they believe that only cars of our own will take us to a better future.

The Drive of Life will be airring in HK the coming Monday (16th July), but won’t be until another 2 weeks before it would be released on Satellite TV in Australia. It has already been released in mandarin in China and is a joint production of TVB(HK) and CCTV(China), filmed to celebrate the 10 years Anniversary of the handover of Hong Kong back to China from Great Britain.
Personally the theme around automobiles doesn’t sound that appealing to me but I will probably give it a go because its a grand production with a huge cast and Raymond Lam is in it ^^ I hope it will turn out to be a great series, though I don’t have that high expectation from it. Anyone else looking forward to it?

I’m curently watching DOL and let’s give it a chance to watch. It’s good. The plot is good and there are many touching scenes
@ K: If you want to watch DOL for Raymond ( as me :P), it’s worth. His crying scenes are good, especially in eps 32, 33 and 43

I love Ray … I thought he woudl end up with Moylie eventually but I was wrong. Joe Ma is the villian in this series – poor Jessica.
Nevertheless, it’s a grand production and all the cast memebers are fantastic …
Charmaine and and Raymond must get together I mean they’re a perfect couple! ^-^ I will get really upset if she or he doesn’t! I’m watching DOL now in canto/english heh understand i live in california and instead of 1 chapter..2 chapters wheee!
im loving this series but i have stopped downlaoding it these days as it will go on air in UK soon,lol i cant remember what episode i was up to when i was downloading,hope i would remember soon otherwise i would miss the epsiodes on TV

Yeah charamaine and ray get’s together then breaks up and gets back together … I think I’ll feel bad for Moylie. Isn’t is obvious that she likes Ray. I hope he doesn’t hurt her in there ….

Episode 16
Poor Jessica! I was just saying that the Will guy was nice to her, but turns out he was lying to her all along and already has a wife! even though there were problems in their marriage. That makes Jessica the third party >< I liked the father-and-daughter talk between Damien and Jessica, especially on the line where he tells her that its not because she's not good, its just that they were not meant-to-be; and that someone else is out there who is the better guy for her. Blah sounds so scary~~~ Sheren is still holding onto something which isn't worth holding. Ng Wai Kwok even told her that "if she didn't like him, he would not like her back" He would not care because he doesn't have those types of emotions...I guess she doesn't have anyone left to stick with... Episode 18 The story is getting quite interesting. I like how the two brothers (i.e Feng and Raymond) are friends again working together as the Red and White mask, so everything is for the best for the company and to encourage structural reform. Ever since the company crashed, Raymond and Charmaine have both changed a lot. Ekk! I guess I was wrong about 'Will' (Jessica' boyfriend) =\ Feel sorry for Jess, she sounded so desperately in love and even went begging him to choose her over Leanne Li. Still, I don't like Joe but there doesn't seem to be anymore else in the series for Jessica.. Episode 21 I had a feeling that Charmaine's mother did actually kill her husband, but what I was most freaked out about was the fact she actually lost memory of it ever happening. Another freaky moment was when Daimen was walking to his car and the criminal thief hopped into the car as well asking him whether he was the one who paid him $x amount so people would arrest him. Aww man..I know its wrong but I really wished Damien's wife let him go... There were also some really sweet Raymond and Charmaine scenes! Episode 22: Charmaine's mother dies..its sad. I don't think she ever loved the 2nd brother, but Damien all along. Just before she dies, she reaches out to Damien and they hold hands. Raymond's mother moves out of the house. He doesn't want to talk to her. She shouldn't have spoken to Sheren at all. Episode 23 Ron appears in the series! Can't believe Michael trusts Power. Every time the two attempt to do something, feels like it is not going to turn out so well. Episode 24 Not much happened in this episode. Ron and the family find out who he really is. Toby finds out that he is the "Car god" Episode 25 The 2nd brother's plans cannot go ahead.
Michael RULES! But his character is so stupid. I’m so sorry…and he just trusts everyone that comes along…~sigh~ his E.U. character is DA best!
