Scary..very scary. This episode has to be the most intense and suspenseful episode ever. I was left sitting on the edge of my seat fearing for everyone’s lives. The whole mood suddenly became so much darker; the end is drawing near. There’s only 3 episodes left, can you believe that? Our journey of exploring the world of [Beyond the Realm of Conscience] through these blog entries are coming to a conclusion! It’s quite exciting but there’s still a few more posts to put together (please look forward to them).  For now, let me calm down and take a deep breath before I get started on this. My heart is still beating really fast!

This episode focuses heavily on Kwok Lun’s evil scheme, taking down our beloved Kwok Keung while Tavia’s attack on Selena reach new heights!

Moses, Kevin and Kwok Keung discuss in secret, planning ways to get Kwok Lun down. The day Selena’s baby is born is the day Kwok Lun will rule over the Country! Selena was already 7 months pregnant, which leaves them with very little time to take action.

Kwok Keung sees Selena with Tavia

Kwok Keung notices Tavia’s fragrance

Kwok Keung goes to visit his beloved daughter and finds her accompanied by Tavia. He becomes very suspicious of her when he recognises an aroma around her. When the two are alone, he asks Selena about her relationship with Tavia, where she happily says she has been very good to her, always staying by her side to keep her company. This raises his concern even more, especially when she tells him she hasn’t had much appetite lately, or slept well.

He gives her his good luck charm, something he has always kept by his side during times of war which has protected him. Oh nooo…his luck is gone, but I’m not sure who needs it more! I have bad feeling something will happen to Kwok Keung >_< He warns her to always be careful and wary of those around her. She smiles back and says she doesn’t have to worry when she has Moses, him and Tavia looking out for her…Oh dear!! He really fears for his daughter’s safety (and so do I..) :{

It was a rare scene seeing the father and daughter sit down and chat with one another, but it was sweet. We can tell the two love each other very much. Selena has become very pleasant to watch, too. I think it’s because Tavia’s ugly look (too much make-up) and evil intentions are getting way too much for my comfort. On the other hand, Selena looks simple yet pleasing for the eye… *sigh* I worry for both of them!

Kwok Keung talks to Selena

Kwok Keung learns that Selena hasn’t been eating or sleeping well

Kwok Keung confronts Tavia right afterwards, who was applying the harmful fragrance with much amusement. He cuts to the point and reveals her evil intentions of endangering Selena’s health and baby! Tavia pretends to be innocent and oblivious to the whole situation, using the “I didn’t know!” excuse. Kwok Keung doesn’t fall for it though and can clearly see through her evil heart. He threatens her that if anything happened to Selena, he won’t let her get away with it.

Oh whyyy Kwok Keung, didn’t you just report her to Moses?? >.< His knowledge is so valuable but like other characters in the show *cough* Charmaine *cough*, seem to let Tavia off.. *sigh* He doesn’t want Selena to be paranoid or worried, but isn’t it better that she knows? If Selena had the knowledge, she could have protected herself better instead of thinking Tavia is a good person. I have another bad feeling about this! Will Kwok Keung die and never have the chance to spill? I hope not!!

Kwok Keung sees through Tavia's plan

Kwok Keung sees through Tavia’s plan and threatens her

This scene was followed by another worrying scene! It was a good scene actually, a very sweet one where Kwok Keung and Vin officially become adoptive father and son. Susanna witnesses the two and becomes very teary and emotional. Kwok Keung suggests for Susanna to also take Vin as her son, and he happily agrees! yay, for the happy family :D  Although they claim it as “adopted”, the fact they’re able to be together like this was a blessing 🙂 Susanna thanks Michelle and Ram for looking after Vin all this time, she really owes them a lot. Michelle is very happy for her too :} awww…

One happy family

Susanna & Kwok Keung become Vin’s adoptive Parents

I say it’s a worrying scene because once a good thing happens, something terrible usually follows…and I was right! When Kwok Keung was out doing a mission for Moses, Kwok Lun took a direct attack on him by bribing his followers, turning them against him and giving him poisoned tea!! ARGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHH.. This scene looked so similar to when Edwin (ex-Emperor) was killed. I thought he died..I was so so sad and my heart sank :'(

Kwok Keung is soon brought back to the Palace, looking like a half dead person :'( Sooooo scaryyy!!! He looked like he was in so much pain… it is revealed he has become disabled for life and cannot speak or move. It was so painful to watch him suffer so much! Moses and Kevin are horrified and become increasingly worried..they know Kwok Lun is behind it but there was no way of proving so.

Kwok Keung is disabled

Kwok Keung becomes disabled 🙁

The doctor reveals he was poisoned, and if it wasn’t for his inner strength he would have died a long time ago. He lays on his chair with teary eyes, very desperate to speak but he cannot. Luckily he was still able to communicate a bit by using his eyes. In the end, he was able to tell Moses to try look for another royal relative to help him out, who he was acquainted with. Although the chances are narrow, Moses will try out everything he can to destroy Kwok Lun.

Moses plans to get Kevin out of the Palace in order to find help, and uses sending Kwok Keung home as an excuse for Kevin to be sent out. When the day arrives, Kwok Lun insists two of his loyal guards assist Kevin on their journey..Oh boy!!!! >.< Selena returns her good luck charm to her father, as she believes he needs it more than her (great..now I fear for Selena). Susanna and Vin weep on the side watching Kwok Keung go.. aww.. I love seeing them together. Vin belongs in my good books now!

Suddenly, Selena’s stomach starts hurting and Charmaine quickly finds Moses to warn him of Selena’s current state. Selena’s baby will be born prematurely, which means Kevin may not make it back in time. Tavia eavesdrop on the entire conversation and takes matters in her own hands!!

Tavia tells Mary to kill Selena's baby

Tavia tells Mary to kill Selena’s baby

She tells Mary the day Selena’s baby is born is the day Kwok Lun will take over and dominate. She claims the only way to save Moses is to kill Selena’s child so it would never come to this world. OMGGGGGGGGGGG…ARRGGGHHHHH SO EVIL!!!!!!!!!!! Mary completely loses it, torn between saving her son or her grandchild.. I feel so sorry for her to be in such a position. She is shattered and tormented, refusing to do something so cruel and inhumane. However, Tavia persistently push her and persuade her it’s the best thing to do. Seeing as she doesn’t have the heart to do it, Tavia volunteers to do it in her place…………..

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Stupid Tavia playing on Mary’s fear and emotions… How can she go ahead with this and not consult Moses?? Tavia loses every little bit of respect I had left in her (well, there wasn’t much for a long time.)

Tavia and Selena

Tavia visit Selena……

Selena is alone in her room and opens her eyes to find a extremely scary Tavia grinning at her. I was soooooooo scared!!!! XD XD What’s going to happen??

OMG!!! I watched this episode !!! I was totally shocked!! (it was sooo suspenseful!

I felt so sorry for Selena and her father- what a downfall for both of them in one episode!! >_< I really wished he would tell Moses or someone too! (Moses, if not Tavia! or maybe even Charmaine)..just someone to look over Selena- esp since it was so obvious that Selena is totally oblivious to Tavia's intentions even after the hints she gave. The good luck charm was only able to protect one of them *sigh* The scene were he was carried into the palace disabled was painful to watch!! Such torture!! I felt so sorry for Mary too!! Tavia really knows how to play mind tricks, such a scheming evil woman! If something happens to Selena & her baby, she'll feel guilty for the rest of her life T_T And Tavia..borrowing Mary to kill off Selena's baby. I was really shocked with the last scene! It was like '..is Tavia's baby already gone as she awoke....?" >< Great summary chibi!! Keep it up!!

Talk about being naive! Tavia sure is good at acting ‘nice’ in front of people… but really, how would Selena have any idea? XD Tavia was ALWAYS pretending to be really goodie goodie… Kwok Keung should really have done more ;_; If Tavia has been using the fragrance for quite a while now.. does stopping her use it now really save Selena? o__o I would think the damage is already done! Isn’t that the reason Selena’s baby was born pre-maturely?

Great summary chibi!! Keep it up!!

      Thanks 😀 Almost complete!

I don’t know what to say but this… EVIL!!! Really, where did the common sense and brains go?? Selena shouldn’t trust people so easily and Mary shouldn’t believe in Tavia, wait, she also trusted Tavia too easily.

I feel sorry for Kwok Keung, he’s finally happy yet he only has less than half his life. I only hope everyone will finally be ok at the end…

    Keep up the great work!!

    • chibi says:

hmm…could almost argue Selena is more naive than Charmaine XD XD It’s sad to think that she couldn’t see through her father’s worry.. I mean people usually say things for a reason, and him constantly telling her to be more careful and even giving her his luck charm to her doesn’t seem to cause any doubts in her mind.

Although I gotta say… the tactic Tavia used (borrowing Mary) to hurt Selena is purely evil. Even if Selena was more wary and cautious of Tavia, it doesn’t look like she had much chance against her (especially when she is alone and her maid was taken away >_<)

      Keep up the great work!!
Thanks cooldudejohn, and for your comments 😀

This was so painful to watch! Poor kwok keung. I said before that i didn’t like the ending for beyond, firstly because they killed ram. The second reason has finally come out, because kwok keung is in this paralyzed state. Great right? I was so annoyed. because i was thinking, since they killed ram, at least there’s still susanna and kwok keung to make it better. But no, they had to destroy every last bit of viewing pleasure. Of course, seeing good people suffer isn’t good, but that wasn’t the reason why I watched the show anyway.

So after getting really disappointed at where the ending for beyond was heading following kwok keung’s paralysis, since that was the most disappointing part of episode 30 in my opinion. Then there’s also tavia’s ploys and selena’s safety. Needless, it was painful to see selena’s ignorance and naivety (the irony, following Michelle’s distrust towards susanna). And you can guess what happens to selena. >.<
The ending… There’s still one more thing that hasn’t come out yet, I think, that I disliked. Though not the main reason why I watched the show (not happening on Susanna/kwok keung/michelle/ram) but it’s related. But it wasn’t altogether a bad thing, depends whose viewpoint you’re looking at it from, but I didn’t like the result of this event. So yupps. The ending, disappoints.

That is just so sad 🙁 Probably one of the worst things that happened to a good character, and it just happens to be one of my favourite too >.<

Needless, it was painful to see selena’s ignorance and naivety (the irony, following Michelle’s distrust towards susanna).

Yup…they LOVE making extreme characters.. Selena is so naive and “dumb”…*sigh* I think her character development had the most flaws; firstly problems with continuity (her turning complete goddess overnight with the rabbit thing) and then, well- from being depressed and hateful towards Tavia to trusting her every bit.. >.> What gives?

      • *xueling* says:

Yeah, it is sooo sad! I just wonder if it’s better for him to be paralyzed or for him to die (as with the other characters, be patient). For him with a lucid mind and being completely paralyzed sucks hardcore. Maybe he’s better off dead…

Oh yes, selena’s transition is like so unbelievable, because she changed overnight into a living goddess (hello?). Try convincing me…what gives? the scriptwriting?

extreme suspenseful and heavy moment yet happened one bye one!! My mind almost blow off and explore. either than you chibi, my heart speedy beat so strong while my mind commonly cover by very mystery emotional and thriller sense. My fear to Tavia has come, her every respect and scheming while reach its height to completely danger. Just imagine when you wake up not yet modest and observe something face to face. For me, i would jump and scream. Tavia’s here so scary in grinning selena. Her idealistic in conflictiong developed right through the plan with borrow other hand to killed her opponents, used her innocent look to persude and scratch the result back then. The pontential of mysterious initaitlly dominated the palace, leave extra intriguing that i wish comes true at last. Now sit down and guess what would happened next? started pray for our goodie to rise against all odds in time of c
    onfliction and trickery.

YES! I was screaming..(in my head) when I saw Tavia’s face. has anyone ever looked more scary? ahahahaa

Yaaay, the climax are drawing near 😀
(But nuu, no more blog posts to look forward to soon XD) Ahh, I remember spoiling this episode to my friend 😀 *reads the super long email I sent*

It was horrible when Kwok Keung became a living doll. 🙁 Thank god he didn’t go crazy and eye-roll/drool all the time, and actually managed to keep his head clear. So lucky that Moses and Kevin got his message about the Prince~

[ RANDOM COMMENT: In the first picture of Tavia’s hair it looks like her hair stylist put the front part up too high XD ]

    ANYWAY.

“How can she go ahead with this and not consult Moses??” Exactly so she could convince Mary, and then deal with Selena personally…

But wow, check out her smiles in the last two set of pictures. They pretty much tell everything XD

The next few episodes will be even more exciting~!

And of course Tavia didn’t even consider the Country’s well-being when she found out Kwok Lun would take action against Moses as soon as the baby was born. Pretty clever of her to consult Mary beforehand… she has the Grand Empress’ “support” so after handling Selena, she’s not going to get punished for… doing things to Selena.

As for Mary… she didn’t really have a choice, did she? After all, she could always have another grandson. Plus Tavia was pretty manipulating.

Can’t wait for the next blog posts 😀

    • engsamnang says:

pretty agree with your response belong. Tavia as gam ling hold very smart plan this episode to grant all her wish. She wonderfully deal with the problem by the wide rage of resolution in order to grabbed more intense and then end up with her evil deed without witness and punishment. I believe taivia exactly not support Kwok lun to betray Moses at all due her goal is empress. Would she let other to kill off her husband and then became their concubine? she will more scheming in the following episode and hope to went uphill for success.

      • chibi says:

Tavia is weird..she doesn’t seem to care what happened to the Country or for Moses..LOL… that’s the impression I’ve been getting from her.

XD Glad you’ve been enjoying them Muff (and thanks for leaving so many comments!)

Thank god he didn’t go crazy and eye-roll/drool all the time, and actually managed to keep his head clear.

That…would have been really bad if his eyes were just “spastic” and watery the whole time.. at least he’s not mentally retarded *sigh* Still..it’s so bad..reminds me of what they did to June- but she was a servant, and Kwok Keung is a General who did so many good things for the Country. Really such a pity!

[ RANDOM COMMENT: In the first picture of Tavia’s hair it looks like her hair stylist put the front part up too high XD ]

      You’re right! lol

As for Mary… she didn’t really have a choice, did she? After all, she could always have another grandson. Plus Tavia was pretty manipulating.

Couldn’t they have waited a bit? It’s not as though Selena’s baby was gonna pop out any minute.. *sigh* To manipulate Mary’s feelings like that is so cruel..

  • Kayy LOVES RI says:

There goes another of tavia’s evil plan in action. is Tavia’s fake behaviour really that good to fool them all that she good. Why does everyone who knows about tavia evil doings let her off.

    • Kayy LOVES RI says:

doesnt selena find it odd that out of the blues tavia is treating her extra compared to before?

      • chibi says:

Yessss…. very suspicious if you ask me. XD

If Selena knew Tavia was always a bitch towards her, what makes her think she’ll treat her nicely now? Just because she says so? @_@

  • Fiona says:

HAHA whoops…I didn’t even know you posted a entry for Episode 29 yet><" Trying to act all nice WHEN I AM SOOO SURE THAT SHE IS GOING TO DO SOMETHING BAD TO SELENEA! 🙁 And then Selena at the end was acting all calm(well, kinda) at the end when she saw Tavia XD If I saw somebody with the same expression as Tavia, I'd probably be screaming my head off. Lokk at those eyes and her smile!! ~shiver~
