Tavia completely loses her composure, exploding with jealousy over Moses defending Charmaine from Kwok Lun and not her. “Why is everyone standing on your side, always helping you?!” It seems now things have become very personal. Only when Charmaine is non-existent can she have “good days”.  No matter how much she tries, Charmaine is always a few steps ahead of her, including being Moses’s favourite, despite being the concubine. I can kind of see where she’s coming from, but come on..is it necessary to hate her so much when really, it’s Moses’s heart she cannot control? *sigh* Emotions can be quite illogical and Tavia acts on them quite impulsively.  Her possessive and competitive nature is becoming ever so prominent.

The Prince falls for Charmaine

The Prince falls for Charmaine

Tavia borrows the Goddess of Mercy painting from Selena and deliberately drops it on the ground where the Prince was present. He becomes very fond of the Goddess’s beauty and Tavia explains it’s based off a real person, Charmaine! She praises Charmaine as a living Goddess and Selena also joins in to compliment what a lovely person she is, without knowing Tavia’s actual intent. The Prince becomes very interested to meet this lady and secretly peeks at Charmaine in the Garden. lol, What a pervert! He becomes completely mesmerized by her beauty with the desire to make her his woman. He speaks to Moses and requests to take Charmaine as his bride! Moses and Kevin become very shocked and worried by his request… but what can they do? How can they say refuse and risk a broken alliance?

Upon hearing the news, Charmaine is devastated as her heart and soul belongs with Kevin (heck, they’re married!) Selena feels awful for Charmaine, especially knowing she praised her character in front of the Prince too. This of course was all part of Tavia’s evil plan to rid her.. but to her surprise, Selena found a way to save her! She suggests to Moses to take Charmaine as his concubine!! This of course backfires Tavia’s plan which makes her even more angry, but Moses wasn’t keen on agreeing. To Moses, Charmaine is married to Kevin, he knows the two belong with one another… How can he go back on his words to let them live happily ever after? But is it worth putting the entire country at risk for two people’s happiness? What a dilemma…

Charmaine and Kevin

Kevin and Charmaine’s future is under Moses’s hand

Eventually, Moses decides to let Kevin run away with Charmaine.. huh? WHAT!? I actually thought this was the most ridiculous plan I have ever heard..that’s just asking for war!! Since when has running away ever solved a problem?  I can’t believe he suggested this, but he has no other way and will deal with things as they come. Uh-oh….I really fear for Moses >.<

Charmaine says her goodbyes to Susanna and Michelle, who thought she would be marrying the Prince and leaving to another Country. After some sappy lines on Charmaine’s part, the two become friends once again…eeeekkk I’m getting sick of the goodie-goodie Charmaine being the middle person to mend every relationship. Was it necessary? Seeing this makes me cringe from the cheesiness >.<!!  The two could have become friends again easily without Charmaine being there… I guess they just want to give credit to Charmaine for every good thing that happens. This totally ruined the “friendship make-up” scene I was looking forward to. Can’t stand it…. It’s as though Susanna and Michelle are little kids being watched over by their mother.. Isn’t it embarrassing? ~_~

Back in her room, Charmaine starts packing to leave the Palace. Susanna soon discovers the baggage and asks where she’s going. Charmaine comes clean and tells her of her affair with Kevin and Moses’s support for them to leave together. Susanna is happy for her and wishes to give her a few jewelery pieces before she leaves. They agree to meet by the well before she heads off.

Charmaine says her goodbyes

Charmaine says her goodbyes to Michelle and Susanna

Under Moses’s direction, Kevin and Charmaine safely and successfully leave the Palace. They enjoy peace and freedom outside and have never been happier 🙂 I feel good for them… but it just seems so irresponsible and wrong for them to dump everything and leave Moses behind (even though it was his idea). It’s good to see them safely out anyway and enjoying the time they have. Not needing to hide their relationship anymore, the two officially make love as husband and wife. (hmm…bet Charmaine is gonna get pregnant! Why else would they show this scene, fan-service? XD))

Charmaine and Kevin

Kevin and Charmaine happily together

Meanwhile back in the Palace, Moses is quite concerned about the situation and Kwok Lun confronts him about Charmaine’s disappearance. Kwok Lun is suspecting Charmaine has sneaked out of the Palace with Kevin, who is also missing! Moses tries to buy time for as long as he can, but it wasn’t long before Kwok Lun finds out someone had seen Susanna with Charmaine by the well the night before her disappearance!

Susanna is locked up in prison and Michelle asks her for the truth. Susanna tells her not to worry because Charmaine and Kevin are safe somewhere… however, it was Susanna that Michelle worried about the most. She wanted to seek Mary for help, but Susanna holds her back, saying it wasn’t easy for her to become the Head of Proceeding and doesn’t want her involved. Susanna admits she has already decided to sacrifice herself for Charmaine’s happiness! She asks Michelle to look after Vin for her when she’s gone but she refuses. She must make it up to Vin as a mother and take care of him herself… She must hang on! This was truly a touching moment where both Michelle and Susanna are so selfless 🙁 It really is great that they’re friends again and Michelle can provide her courage and support!

Michelle tells Kwok Keung the truth

Susanna is locked up, and Michelle tells Kwok Keung the truth

In order to save Susanna, Michelle tells Kwok Keung that he is the father of her child! He becomes extremely shocked and just when he questions further, he’s interrupted. Kwok Lun’s guards are beating up Susanna and Kwok Keung runs to her rescue! How dramatic!! Ahh..how exciting!! I’m so happy that Kwok Keung finally learns the truth!

🙂 I think Charmaine looks pretty with the long hair…
and I just wanted to ask…who is that prince? First of all, I don’t really like him…he looks like he’s a little…gay or something…the way he talkes and his actions…*shiver* I think I’ve seen him before? He looks really familiar…i think he was in The Drive Of Life or something…I’m not sure~~~
AND FINALLY! Michelle is not so bitchy 😛

    • j.cee says:

the prince is also in pages of treasures. he’s not so good in chinese thats why he talks sorta funny. i think he’s from england or something in real life. 😛

Agreed 🙂 It was refreshing seeing her new look- with her hair out she looks younger (and the simple the better ;))

I just wanted to ask…who is that prince?
I’m more curious as to what Country the Prince is from..can someone inform me? XD

      • tvbholic says:

wad country? as in in the show? if it is.. then the prince is from Tibet, their is that wad u want? im sorry if it’s not wad u meant :/

and for tavia, found her voice quite annoying in the first part.. think it’s the first time she actually shouted in angst. i feel that the lines came out quite forced… other than that. i love her expressions.

        • chibi says:

Yes, exactly what I was asking 🙂 Tibet is it? Thanks for letting me know! I’m not very good with Chinese geography. XD

I think it wasn’t a very long-term, sustainable move for the country and for Moses himself, but it was very touching, and selfless of him to do so. But not very smart.

Yay, Kevin and Charmaine are free, and we can see them in non-palace clothing and hairstyles! How refreshing 😀 And haha, “fan-service” XD

Hooray, Kwok Keung to the rescue! I’m glad he finally realises his burden, HA. And of course, it’s great that Michelle and Susanna are friends again and that Michelle was trying to help her ;D

      Without a doubt it’s a selfless act… but still, considering he is the Emperor, I would have thought he could see the bigger picture and come up with a more clever pla- letting them run off seems like a last resort :{

Yes, I say the more simple the better and nicer looking 😉 (Tavia is quite ugly now with all the hair and make-up and over the top outfit)

And of course, it’s great that Michelle and Susanna are friends again and that Michelle was trying to help her ;D
It’s a real relief! Good characters really need to stick together :{ The bad guys are just so evil and scary…

  • cooldudejohn says:

Yes. That scene definitely was fan service!! It’s great to finally see Michelle and Susanna not bickering!!

    • chibi says:

haha, yesh XD Was this the only scene they were intimate? (Seeing as they were always in the Palace and it was dangerous to show any affection?)

  • *xueling* says:

Who thinks that charmaine was being so extra in michelle’s and susanna’s relationship? It was sooo unneeded. Even if the transition scene was total rubbish, I was confident (key word: was) that they would make it nice and cool. But I forgot about the character called Sam Ho, Oops. Ruined the scene. T.T
To think that charmaine is younger than both susanna and michelle. good grief.
Moses didn’t make a rational decision to let kevin and charmaine run from the palace. Seriously, he’s going to get slaughtered for it. ><).
Can i have some fan service, please? D:

    • *xueling* says:

No, part of my reply disappeared. :O
Talking about kevin and charmaine fan service. It wasn’t service, for me at least. If it was susanna and kwok keung, i think i would go gaga. But fat hope.
The scene with michelle and susanna was awesomeness, it was so touching! Susanna addressed charmaine, but michelle said that she was most worried about susanna. And then susanna leaves vin in her care, but michelle disallows it (at least, she chose the right person to leave vin in the care of!) To think they were bickering an episode ago! kwok keung going to susanna’s rescue and learning the truth was dramatic and cool!

Susanna, kwok keung and michelle are awesomeness! (if there was a ram it would be even better). Fan service, fan service. Can I have what i believe is fan service, please?

      • chibi says:

Yea, I was quite disappointed 🙁 🙁 Let the two work it out amongst themselves! I felt soo forced and annoying for Charmaine to be depicted that way *sigh* Charmaine doesn’t need to be there!

lol, yeah..it wasn’t much of a fan service to me (seeing I wasn’t a fan of them XD) but I think seeing some Susanna and Kwok Keung would be brilliant 😀 😀 (Not that we need to see ..any bed scenes..LOL they’re a bit old) om good confession and talk would suffice 😀

The scene with michelle and susanna was awesomeness, it was so touching! Totally agree… such kindness warmed my heart just watching them interact XD

Yeah, she was soo extra. To me it felt like they made up to give charmaine face, since she was leaving the palace, and they wanted to make her happy, like for the case with the guzheng. And i know it’s not the case, but it certainly came across as such.

“I think seeing some Susanna and Kwok Keung would be brilliant ”
I’m not alone in this one! 😀 Susanna and kwok keung are awesome!

“(Not that we need to see ..any bed scenes..LOL they’re a bit old) om good confession and talk would suffice”

With fan service, I do mean a good confession. And maybe a make up scene 😀 (there would be no bed scenes, because tvb would be crazy to broadcast it, since many will think that it’s not at all fan service. And also, I seriously doubt susanna and kwok keung would agree :O)

“Totally agree… such kindness warmed my heart just watching them interact XD”
Oh my, i’m not alone again 😀 I’m usually alone in things yeah?

  • Kayy LOVES RI says:

Finally Susanna and Michelle are friends agains i hope that they stay friend cose this arguing is getting quite annoying.

As for Moses letting Kevin and Charmaine out of the palace was just asking for trouble (as if he doesnt have enough already).

Well at least the only good thing about this was locking susanna up. This let Kwok Keung know that his was the father of susanna’s child and that she had one. =)

  • Summer says:

finally Kwok Keung know the truth le. very happy. Kwok Keung rushed to save Susanna. Kwok Keung eyes has so much love and concern for susanna. Kwok Keung and Susanna rox. i love them to be together
