A drama adapted from the popular martial arts novel written by Wen Ruian about the four great constables, “Heartless”, “Metal Hand”, “Life Chaser” and “Cold Blood”.
Hardhearted and smart Mo Ching (Raymond Lam) became a crippled when he was young. Fortunately Ching has met Chu Kot Ching Ngo (Dominic Lam Ka Wah), the Head of the Sheriff Bureau, and has learnt from him his unparalleled skills of using concealed weapons. Chu has once helped the Sung Emperor recover an invaluable piece of article that the empire has long lost. To reward Chu, the Emperor reopened the Sheriff Bureau. In addition to Ching, Chu has recruited Zeoi Ming (Sammul Chan), a cunning swindler, Tit Sau (Kenneth Ma), an honest guy and the cold-blooded Lang Huyt(Ron Ng), and called them The Four.
The Sheriff Bureau has cracked many difficult cases under the leadership of Chu. After having gone through thick and thin with the others, Ching has become a lot less arrogant. He has fallen in love with Song Chi Yin (Kate Tsui), a herb doctor, but she is only using him to sow dissension amongst The Four, furthermore deepens the hatred between him and Sau. The King of Qi Chiu Cheong (Savio Tsang Wai Kuen) and the treacherous minister Choi King(Lau Kong) are plotting to revolt against the Sung Dynasty. Chu risks his life to ruin their plan but by doing this, he is also driving the bond between him and The Four to the verge of disintegration.

Comments: Yay! Another Ray series 😀 This was one of the series I was greatly anticipating this year 🙂 I know, I anticipate every Ray series, but the fact it’s ancient one (and with four good looking cast) with fighting is a plus +! I really like this type of genre and I’m actually anticipating this over Last One Standing. As for the female cast, I’ve never really liked Kate but I do like Selena though. How come she’s not even mentioned in the Synopsis though? I hope she plays more importance in the storyline!
I would have preferred them not to release two Raymond Lam series in a row so I can still watch Raymond later in the year ^^; but I’m not too fussed! I’m really looking forward to this and hope TVB doesn’t fail us in bringing a great series that it can be!

Just Looking At The Poster Making Me Can’t Wait To Start The Series This Week. I Saw The Preview On YouTube And It Was Amazing. Raymond Look So Gorgeous In This Ancient Clothing, And So Cool In The Wheel Chair. The Other Male Cast Look Great Too But Compare To Raymond…. Way Far Off. Go Raymond!!!

I totally concur, KTVB! I am anticipating this series as much as you are. I’m actually not liking Ray in MR at all. His character is so boring, to be honest. I see all good in the guy. Usually characters like Gam Wing Ho turns out boring even if it’s your favorite character.
Same here, I don’t like Kate at all, but I love Selena. She’s definiately underrated. Kenneth won’t have as much scenes as Raymond so I think Kate’s character will be more significant. I also hope that her character has something to do with the plot and not only there to play Kenneth’s partner. I loved Ray and Selena in Face to Fate! Just a perfect couple.
This seems interesting although it’s not my type of drama, and i don’t usually watch these. but since ray’s in it along with ron, sammul, and kenneth, i’m probably gonna watch it just because their good guys to look at lol 😀 but i only wish kate wasn’t in it, i never liked her and after watching mr, i dislike her more.
I totally agree with you guys. I’m not a big fan of Kate at all so I hope she won’t end up with anyone considering the synopsis says that she’s a bad person so I won’t feel too much for her. Maybe it’s her role but I’ve never really like her.. she needs better roles or acting skills or something.
I do hope Selena will have a lot more screen times :] whether it’s with Raymond or Kenneth but preferably Raymond 😛 & I wonder if Ron and Sammul will end with with anyone.
As ever, Ray looks handsome in ancient costume, with long flowing hair, serious/ cool appearance, and comfortable in ancient settings. I am wondering if Kate’s character is much like the one she portrayed in Moonlight Resonance? (bearing in mind the MR was filmed this year and The Four was last year) Somehow, I was hoping for Charmaine to be the leading character and love interest for Mou Ching!
I LOVE Kate. I hate her character in MR but look at the contrast with Speech of Silence. If a character makes you hate them then the actors/actresses have done their job.

Kate is soo annoying. she gets more credit than she actually deserves. Raymond on the other hand is amzaing. I’m sad this is the last series he’s in this year. Hopefully he’s in more series next year. BUt i’m super excited about The Four!
Wow, just finish the first 4 episode and going on to the fifth one tonight, the series is so exciting and all the different personality of the character. Raymond is so cool and his wheel chair has all the gadgets and stuff.
can’t wait to watch this series! i really like ron and raymond and selena but eh…..i’m not sure if i wanna watch it cuz just seeing kate’s face pisses me off. i still extremely hate her from moonlight resnosance.
I do agree with K for TVB, I don’t really like Kate but Selina should have a more noticible role. TVB should give more attention to Selena. I wish one more lead female was in it too, more relationships and more stuff to say. I would hope it was someone like maybe Tavia or Linda. But I’m not fussy, I’ve watched the first five episodes and it’s got me hooked!
I also agree with miina tsukiyomi, I got a bit turned off with The Four because Kate Tsui was in it. Just reading the sypnosis made me wonder if she’s gonna piss me off again.
Maybe she won’t but who’s the girl who likes Ron later on in the series? I don’t think she can act very well yet she’s got quite a big role!

Kate’s role in this series is OK, so far (Ive only seen up to episode 10). I don’t like the girl (Siu To) who is paired with Ron. Her acting is quite annoying and her character is annoying too! And I realised she was in D.I.E. after watching D.I.E. again. She plays a nurse and shes in the scene where Rogers dad is in hospital to get an operation (He lied about having cancer).

i really cannot stand kate. i cant stand her acting, her everything, she is just annoying and gah. her presence makes this show so much less enjoyable.

i wish there is part 2 for this movie.i feel that this movie is very good but the ending the four of them didn’t end up with any girls. my friends and i wish that tvb will be making a second part 2 .a lots of my friends and i wish that kate will end up with raymond if there is a second part n ron maybe end up with another girls
The movie is great until the last episode:
1. Coi King died too easily and short.
2. None of the Four ended up successfully in their romance life.
3. At the very end when they are protecting the new Song emperor against thousands of Jin Army, they should have just used “The Invincible Arms” then they would have win and gives hope for the 2nd installment of the series.
i wish that tvb will be considering to make a second installment of the four. a lot of my friends say that this is a great movie but the ending none of my friends and i likes it. but if the ending the the Four ended up successfully in their romance life this movie will be great . if there a second i wish that kate will end up with raymond

today i went fishing with my friends and we were talking about the four constables. many of us doesn’t like the ending we wish that tvb will be considering making the second part because this movie we feel that it is very interesting when the four of them solve the case together. we also discuss that if there is a second part we hope that kate will end up with raymond hapily ever after

awesome series!really hope four of them will be in a series again..i would say all four potray their characters really well.and raymond ..his acting is really good, despite the wheelchair limiting his movements .and kate did improve on her acting!!thumbs up for her..i felt more comfortable in seeing her on screen compared to b4..
