Synopsis
YUNG SHING-FUN (Lau Siu Ming) and his cousin MAN WING-CHEONG (Chow Chung) have been at odds for years, over the trade name rights of their family’s noodle shop.
YUNG YI-TSUN (Roger Kwok ), FUN’s eldest son engages in a property development project in order to solve the problem. Unwillingly, he offers to buy out the location of CHEONG’s noodle shop with his company’s shares. He also invites CHEONG and his son, MAN KA-FUNG (Sunny Chan), to join the company’s management.
TSUN actually has ulterior motives for doing this, as he hates FUNG to the core for marrying his girlfriend KO WAI-TING (Kwok Siu Wan). On top of this, TSUN’s younger brother, YUNG YI-HANG (Ron Ng), is going out with CHEONG’s second daughter, MAN KA-FU (Kate Tsui), regardless of his family’s opposition.
Now, TSUN is at his wits’ end as he has to handle his family issues single-handedly. He never understood what family ties really meant, nor had he the courage to try to find it out, until now.

Synopsis
LAW LIK-AH (Kevin Cheng) used to practice law for personal fame and glory but after setting up a Legal Advice Centre with his cousin GEORGE MIKE JR. (Lam Chi Sin) and his good friend TING KA-FU (Sam Lee) in Sham Shui Po, LIK-AH changes his mind and realises that legal representation is not only a privilege of the rich.
Soon, LIK-AH becomes the Peoples’ Hero of Sham Shui Po, helping grassroots groups fight against injustice with unconventional tactics.
On the other hand, barrister WONG SZ-FU (Myolie Wu), who used to admire LIK-AH for his invincible performances, starts to disdain him for downgrading to a ghetto lawyer. However, after a few court cases with him, the two start to appreciate each other and fall in love.
Besides succeeding in her relationship, SZ-FU tries to become an elite practitioner in town. In order to gain advancement, she seizes every chance to get close to the renowned barrister TSEUNG PAK-KEI (Shek Sau). As PAK-KEI enjoys getting people into trouble, he makes sure SZ-FU is accidentally embroiled in a lawsuit.
In order to save SZ-FU, LIK-AH has no choice but to challenge the law.

Hey guys!! Long time no see and it’s already the end of May- time surely goes by quick! Hope you guys have been well!
For those who have been following me (“Liked” K for TVB) on facebook would probably know more about my recent happenings. I ‘ve been finding myself spending more and more time on facebook and sharing thoughts/comments on the drama’s I’ve been seeing there rather than on twitter or this blog. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not that I’m abandoning this blog (all my lengthy posts will still be here 🙂 ) but for random comments and convenience (since I use facebook a lot) I do update on facebook more frequently. If you have facebook, please also join us there! If you’re a regular facebook user, you’d find that it’s easier to be notified of my updates there too!
I feel that I should keep the rest of you updated though 🙂 As you can see from my latest posts, I’ve finished watching “Relic of an Emissary”, one of my favourite dramas of 2011 😀 Instead of writing a review, I intend on breaking it down on separate posts on my thoughts on the characters. I’m quite pleased with Chin Sam Leung and Sam Bo’s blog entries, and hope to put one up for Michael, Joe and possibly Elanne. It feels a bit funny seeing Joe and Michael together in a film and then reflecting how they both came to Sydney last year together! ^^ I wonder who will be coming to this year’s Jade World Carnival….?
There has been a bit of a delay in updating my posts though because I’ve been pretty busy “in real life”- there’s quite a bit going on at the moment. I’m not sure when I’ll get time to sit down and write it all out- hopefully in the coming weeks. I’m also reminded that I still haven’t written up my thoughts on the last batch of “Grace Under Fire” post (another series which I love).
For those who are wondering, I haven’t been following Yes Sir Sorry Sir that closely, but I’ve seen parts on TV while having dinner. Not exactly my type of drama and Mose’s “Lor Sir” annoys me so much *sigh* I was very disappointed to hear it having high ratings (while Relic having low ratings..) It’s a matter of preference though..*shrugs*
I’ve also started watching “My Sister of Eternal Flower”. I love watching Raymond because he’s quite refreshing (haven’t seen him in a while and his role is pretty funny). He has a lot of funny expressions which is light-hearted. Charmaine’s portrayl of “Fa Ga Jie” has high resemblences to Roger’s “Ah Wong”. I’m a bit indifferent about her character. Sometimes she annoys me, while other times I feel sorry for her or think she’s pretty cute. Surprisingly I quite like Toby’s character here (for now anyway XD) and I like watching Toby and Pierre’s interactions. I love seeing when he cares about her so much; but then at other times seemingly harsh towards her. I wonder if the two will end up together again.
On another note – (not related to TVB), I went to see Hotcha when they came to Sydney on 21 May! They sang and danced to three songs 😀 I’m not a Hotcha fan but since they were performing on the night of my birthday I thought it’d be fun to meet them in person XD They were standing right in front of me lol I also made a recording on my phone, check it out! But because I was standing so close to them, I couldn’t quite get all of them in XD

- “Ma Sam Bo” is Sammul’s last role with TVB! It’s sad to hear him leave, but I’m happy for the greater opportunities he has in mainland. I really like Sam-Bo and I think he’s my favourite character from the roles Sammul has played. He’s intelligent, caring, charming, talented and has great fighting skills. I also love the loyalty he has towards Yin-Wong (Joe) and the love/devotion towards Princess Wing-Yeung (Elanne). Judging from the Favourite Character poll I put up, it looks like Sammul is favourite for many people.
- I still feel its a bit of a waste that he’s an eunuch! I know …Ma Sam-Bo is a eunuch in history, and history can’t be changed…but awww!!
- Throughout the series, he didn’t really act like an eunuch but they would subtly mentioned it here and there..it kind of left me a bit confused on how many people/whom actually knew of his identity and whether it was supposed to be public knowledge. It turned out that Michael didn’t realise until near the end of the series too, which was why Michael constantly teased him for not confessing his feelings for the princess.

- Sam Bo and Princess Wing Yeung have grown up together. They played with each other since young, and he saved her from drowning when she was 5. Another time when she sneaked out to war with Joe, Sam-Bo was there to protect her. The two were hiding in a cave and it was so cute because the princess was like ” Sam-Bo let’s get married! 4th brother (Joe) said I’m not marrried yet so if I die now I’m going to be a homeless ghost. I don’t want to be a homelsss ghost.” Sam- Bo: “Err…I’m an eunuch, how can we get married?” Princess: “Why can’t eunch’s get married? I don’t care we’re getting married” XD XD From then on, Sammul was never able to forget her XD SO SWEET !! Fond memories!

- I think this is one of Kate’s best roles. She plays the beautiful “Chin-Sam Leung” , a brothel owner who secretly appears to be working as an spy/assassin for her master. She is a strong character who is very bold and daring and can appear quite direct/ruthless at times. During a mission Chin-sam fought against Michael and injures him. The “good” Chin-sam ends up treating his wounds and saves his life. The two eventually fall in love and have a one night stand. However shortly after, Michael loses his memories- flashbacks of what appears to be bed scenes with Chin-Sam causes Michael to become very confused as he tries to remember his past and discover who he actually is. He feels that he has an intimate relationship with Chin-Sam when he sees her again, however she denied this and misleads him to thinking his lover is actually another prostitute (by imprinting the same tatoo on her back).
