- These episodes focused a lot on Ron and Myolie which I didn’t mind at all : )
There were some very sweet scenes between the two and slowly I began to really like this couple. It felt very genuine and it became clear in episode 21 that Ron had feeling for Myolie as well. Did it suddenly blossom?Ron seemed quite lost before this haha
- When Chilam received a letter from someone who claimed to be his younger half-sister, he refused to acknowledge her, saying Myolie is his only sister. Myolie felt bad how Chilam was neglecting the girl, so decided to make a trip to Paris to find her. P.s I thought it was hilarious when Chilam showed Myolie the photo and she asked “Is that your illegitimate child?†haha
- After Kenneth broke up with his 2 girlfriends, he becomes depressed and drags Ron to holiday with him in London to help him recover. Overhearing that Ron would be going to London, Myolie decides to catch the same flight. The three of them have quite some fun in London, with Ron being especially caring towards Myolie, offering to accompany her around to find her half-sister in Paris. They do not end up finding her as the letter was sent to Chilam months ago and she had already left.
- While on their trip, Ron and Myolie visit a library/bookshop and chat happily until late and they decide to stay overnight there. When Myolie went to a put jacket over Ron who had fallen asleep he awakes to find her close to him. As she backs-off, Ron grabs her hands and smiles. Without any words, the two knew how they felt about each other.
- The next morning, Ron had to leave when he got a text message from Kenneth who ended up in the police station and leaves a note for Myolie to meet him at the cafe. Myolie misplaces her phone and couldn’t get in contact with him. Hours later, and Ron did not appear, so Myolie starts to wander off to the sites they talked about the night before and here we have a chasing game where Ron tries to track down Myolie. The two finally reunite claiming they were both thinking of the same thing/places. Ron then attempts to kiss Myolie (3 times lol), the first two times being interrupted by Kenneth’s phone call, and the third with Myolie quickly saying, “I’m hungry” as she got embarrassed.
- The two stroll and enjoy the rest of the day happily together until they walk past a painter who mistaken Myolie (Summer) as ‘Zoe’. ‘Zoe’ had her portrait drawn half way when she had to leave (as she was feeling unwell), so it was only half complete. Upon seeing the painting, Ron lets go of Myolie’s hands as he is reminded of Zoe (his sister in law) and Francis (brother). Myolie becomes sadden when Ron started to keep his distance. She however, decides to complete the portrait with Ron feeling quite uncomfortable. (Why would she do that for? Why create a painting that’s a mix of Zoe and Summer- now that’s just confusing lol And who was supposed to keep it? Ron or Francis? XD)
- This pretty much ends their romantic escape, returning to Hong Kong with awkwardness between them.
- Ron starts holding back and is afraid of developing further with Myolie until he is sure Francis had moved on from Zoe. In the meantime, he keeps the painting in his room..
- The whole of episode 24 focused on the relaxing holiday trip where the maintenance crew, along with Ron claim their prize from the bike race competition and go on their short holiday resort trip. Knowing that Ron would be going, Josie (the coffee girl) asks to tag along as well and seizes the opportunity to be with Ron.
- The trip was filled with lots of romantic ‘interventions’ (if that’s the word for it) with Ron trying to tell Myolie he sees her as Summer, and not Zoe, and to let her know he isn’t treating her well just because she looks like his sister in-law. Their moments are constantly interrupted by Josie, making Myolie quite jealous especially when Ron spends time/gives his attention to Josie whom is constantly clinging to him every moment she gets. When Josie almost drowns because she didn’t know how to swim, Ron would save her making Myolie feel quite uncomfortable. On the other hand, we also have Adrian (Teddy) competing with Ron for Myolie.
- During a very childish challenge by Adrian, the two have a ‘who–can-hold-their-breath-the-longest-underwater†contest and Adrian ends up drowning himself in the process.
- Knowing that Adrian didn’t have the guts to confess to Myolie, his two team members who couldn’t bare what their friend was going through, decide to tell Myolie for him. Adrian is in the other room, pretending to be asleep and overhears.
- Myolie goes to visit him and tells the supposedly unconscious Adrian that she wishes to remain good friends with him. Probably best told this way without actual confrontation… I never really liked Teddy and he seems a bit young/child-like for Myolie so I didn’t feel much for this ‘couple’. It’s for the best he knows sooner than not ^^;
- During the trip, Ron wore a rope bracelet (used during the bike race training to tie Myolie to Ron) which I believe is symbolic of his feelings for Myolie. Unfortunately he loses this and goes crazy trying to find it. When Josie realised the bracelet meant a lot to Ron, she goes out to the beaches to look for it. Josie ends up finding the bracelet, but as a consequence her breathing problems worsen and Myolie finds her struggling and takes her back. Josie tells Myolie her feelings for Ron and her health issues (some kind of cancer?), making Myolie feel quite bad for her…hmmmm what to do? Their trip is cut short when Myolie decides to accompany Josie back to Hong Kong earlier. Josie tells her that she really values Myolie’s friendship…
- On the other hand, I don’t think I feel anything for Chilam and Fala anymore. When I see them together, I start to think (haha yea took me awhile) that Chilam’s character is so hallow and I’m getting a bit bored of his play boy character which is why I prefer his scenes with his sister.
- Fala starts to show her jealousy when Chilam is out with other girls. She makes Chilam take her flying again on a private jet where she once again, enjoys the thrill of being in the air. That night however, Fala had a nightmare that she was flying the plane herself and the plane is about to crash. She calls for ‘Jayden’ but it’s ‘Daniel’ who answers her. I think at this point Fala became a bit directionless in her life and starts reflecting on the things Francis had taught her at PPP and that she should be more serious about the cadet program. It felt like some kind of realisation for her.
- Meanwhile, Chilam starts complaining having to fly consecutively because ‘someone’ (i.e Francis) has special privileges of choosing where he didn’t want to fly, i.e Taiwan. Francis has always avoided flying to Taiwan and we learn it’s because he doesn’t want to face sad memories of his past, and has something to do with ‘Zoe’. Hearing Chilam’s unimpressed remark, Francis decides to fly Taiwan again. Co-incidentally, Fala also catches that flight to attend her Daniel’s sister’s wedding.
- When they arrive at Taiwan, Francis decides to stay at the airport until his return flight to Hong Kong. Fala forgets her wedding gift on the plane and is already in a taxi so calls Francis to see whether he can deliver it to her. However, he refuses to leave the airport and makes her come back to get it where the two get into another argument of not getting over his past. Despite saying that he has let go of Zoe, Francis clearly hasn’t and I feel depressed watching him sometimes. Fala later feels bad for what she said to him and calls him while in a taxi. The taxi gets into an accident and the worried Francis on the other line is forced to leave the airport to find her. He arrives at the same hospital (where Zoe died) where he finds himself flooded with memories of Zoe.
- He is unable to forgive himself for not being there when she past away. Fala thought it was because he who had abandoned her, but it was actually Zoe who left him because she didn’t want to him to get more and more depressed seeing her condition worsen each day.
- Luckily, because of Fala, Francis was forced to face his past and was finally able to relieve himself when Fala told his encounter with Zoe at the airport. It was just like when Fala’s bracelet was unlocked, Francis finally freed himself from the past. At the same time, this made Fala realise something about herself as well…
- Francis and Fala take a ride back to the city on the back of a truck (almost like Fala and Chilam’s day trip driving around after her bracelet was unlocked).
- When Fala returns to Hong Kong, she breaks up with Chilam. She apologises and admits she had only used him as a substitute for Daniel and that it would be unfair to him. This leaves Chilam quite annoyed, stubborn and bitter on the inside- I think not so much for being used as a rebound, but I think ultimately it was the fact he lost to Francis. He was convinced something had happened in Taiwan between Francis and Fala, especially since Francis returned to Hong Kong being happier than ever. Fala also moves back to live with him. During a flight, Chilam also tries to show Francis he is capable of doing things his way, causing a very poor landing. As a result, Francis as his assessor fails him.
- When Fala broke up with Chilam I was actually in joy! I’m glad she did admit that she had only used him as a rebound- in hope to get over Daniel, but she couldn’t. She thought he was the one for her. I just thought she was a confused puppy with no idea what she really wanted and wasn’t serious about anything. I don’t feel sorry for Chilam either, it didn’t feel like he was serious about her during their relationship anyway. It would be interesting to see how Chilam will cope with this defeat!
- Other:
- I thought it was hilarious watching Kenneth in London trying to get over ‘Phyllis’ and ‘Joanne’ as he faced the water and yelled out their names lol Wonder what they’ll be like when they see each other at the airport again
- It was funny watching Chilam find Myolie after his breakup with Fala. Clearly he wanted to be comforted but then tried to play it out all cool. Myolie wasn’t very sympathetic towards him either. I guess she had her own Ron issues to deal with and having to see Josie everyday now that she has moved in with them too.
- All the PPP students got into the cadet program, along with Adrian (Teddy). I don’t care too much for Teddy at this point..
- Rebecca, and Kenneth’s 2 ex-gfs all become air-hostess for Skylette airlines
- Nancy returns from the US and will be training the new air hostess with Elena.
- Him Law finds out Nancy is pregnant and she makes him keep it as a secret. Him Law seems to have good feelings towards her and that they go way back by Nancy doesn’t seem to remember him.
