Aww… its really sad watching ‘Dai Kai’ in hospital. The things ‘Dai kai’ said to Bosco and Tavia were harsh but you couldn’t blame her. She was equally as hurt as Bosco and Tavia were from those words. She loves Bosco so much but she couldn’t being herself to accept the two. Bosco on the other hand didn’t want to hurt his mum but he still insisted in marrying her..I guess this shows how much Tavia means to him. Knowing that his mum doesn’t want to see the two, they go to visit her when she was asleep..

You can tell Tavia is a really nice girl.. she didn’t want Bosco to leave his family because she knew how much the family meant to him..
‘Dai Bao’ wanted to compromise with Bosco because he didn’t want to lose his son too, but things still didn’t work out. At the end, ‘Dao Bao’ learns that Bosco plans to go overseas with Tavia to get married because Tavia is pregnant with his baby (Tavia hasn’t even divorced with her husband yet!) He ends up inviting Bosco back home to have their ‘final’ family dinner before he leaves. He wanted his son to be happy but it ended up in tears and he becomes really angry at Bosco because he was really disappointed in him. Dai Kai leaves the hospital and comes back in time to stop Bosco from leaving. She gives her blessings to the two to be together.. I’m so glad everything worked out ^^

‘Dai Kai’ probably knows that Susanna was the one who told Chris to call her about Bosco leaving. She’s a very smart lady and knew that Susanna was the one with Uncle Bor and did those illegal stuff.
Poor Michelle! She’s always targetted by Susanna, even when Susanna is the one who is wrong, she manages to turn things around, just because she can “yell and scream”…she gets things her way! She makes a big deal out of something small just to stir up more family problems. Its so unfair…Why did Michelle have to apologise to her! argh….
I’m so happy that ‘Dai Kai’ came back ^^ She really has the power in the family..you can’t rely on HaYu to keep the family together~

The family finds out that the girl Bosco is with is actually married..

There are a few several factors that really keep me watching On the First Beat, and one great factor is for Michael and Sonija! I love this couple!!  I haven’t like Sonija in ages but can’t help to think she looks really pretty here! XD And Michael Tao is so charming! lol He is so kewl xD I really really really wanted the two to get back together and they finally do in episode 16 =D So I decided to capture their moments!! <3 <3 The Hospital Scene

Sonija finds out about the Vase, and Michael realises that Sonija did visit him in hospital and left him the congee.

This scene really reminds me the Raymond and Linda scene in Episode 23 of Heart of Greed. Its the “getting back together” moment at night in front of their home..

Its just half way through the series but I hope tat they won’t have to separate again..

A scene I picked out of from Episode 14 which I really liked ^^ I think the balloons look really pretty and I personally like the two together =) Joey’s character is also really cute in On the First Beat so I find her quite likable.

Here, Joey has gone into a depression after an incident in a case where she realised a man deliberately killed his little daughter so he could claim life insurance money because of his gambling problems. Ron takes her to a room at the gym filled with colourful balloons and helps her relieve her unhappiness by popping them =)

I really like this episode~~ Christine’s character has been slowly changing for the better but this episode is where we see the major change, and its when we learn about Sunny’s past. In episode 10 when Christine went up hiking in the mountains, she drops her mobile phone. She throws a tantrum and blames her father for ‘dragging’ her with them there. Because of this, Yuen Wah heads up to the mountains himself in attempt to find it back for her. Christine only realized he was missing when he didn’t come back at night and she and Sunny go out to find him. This is when all the people at the village offered to help, and she was really moved because they genuinely cared for her even though previously she was against everyone and didn’t appreciated anything they gave, blaming them for everything and never apologized when she was wrong.

While they split up and went searching Christine and Sunny get chased by a wild boar and the two fall down the hill where she injures her ankle. The two talk and Christine tells him that she feel bad for treating everyone like she did, including how poorly she treated him, yet he was still nice to her. Sunny starts telling her a story- a story about how a man who was way worse than her. I wonder how Christine realized the story was about himself? Was it that obvious? Or because he was really into the story ..? He told her that when he first saw her, he saw himself in the past, so he wanted to help her.  After hearing this, Sunny piggy-backs her up the mountain where they learn that Yuen Wah has been found.

Christine changes for the better ^^  She asks Sunny why he keeps the bag when its so old. she knows its something to do with Suki and constantly questioned him but he was able to escape from her when Natalie came and asked him to go up mountains with her.

Natalie continues to fall in love with Sunny and Sunny soon finds out from Chris that Natalie likes him, and not Chris and Sunny feels uneasy. At the end, upon hearing from Chris that Natalie was going to find him to confess her love, Sunny took on an act and pretended to confess his feelings for Christine to make Natalie give up on him, but he didn’t know that his mum and dad was there too watching them who thought it was real as well xD He even fooled Christine who you can tell had feelings for him too. Poor thing.

She accidentally wrecks the bag he gave Suki and he becomes upset. Sunny sits down and tells Christine his past with Suki, explaining that back then, he didn’t want Suki to stay with him and suffer with him, so he deliberately acted really mean to hurt her so she would hate and leave him. After the talk, Sunny and Christine realises that Suki was at the gate and had heard everything he had said..

I like the first few shots of the opening theme because we see all the character in the green fields, getting along really well, though I seriously doubt it appears in the series because it seems to good to be true XD nice shots though =)

Today I spent about 3 hours watching episodes 9, 10 and 11 of Heart of Greed, since I missed these episodes. Its sort of funny watching it now that I’ve finished the series, its like watching backwards to fill in the gap. At these points, Susanna hasn’t turned crazily evil yet and seems to be Uncle Bor who is stirring up family problems. I loved watching their family moments (like when they go jogging) and found some moments really touching like the speech Fala gave about Moses being the red packet, the letter that Moses writes to ‘Dai Kai’ and the letter ‘Dai Bao’ write to him..
Tavia and Bosco look so good together! This is actually the first series I really like Tavia in and I think she looks really pretty. I don’t know what she’s like from episode 12-19 so I’ll have to wait and see =) Will be putting the Tavia and Bosco screencaps together^^

Linda’s character is so different from the beginning and towards the end. She matures so much later and becomes so much more likable. For now I don’t really feel that interested in seeing her with Moses, or Yoyo because the Tong family affairs is so much more interesting. Raymond’s character looks different too and the feeling I get from seeing Linda and Raymond (first time seeing him) gives me a totally different feel to their relationship because its just the start ^^; I look forward to seeing the rest (episode 12-19) to see how things go with Raymond and Linda, Bosco and Tavia.
