The last set of Tavia and Wong Hei Moments from Fathers and Sons!

The Water Fountain and Artwork

After the getting autographs from Tavia’s favourite artist, some kids accidentally kicks a ball, knocking all her precious drawings into the fountain water. Tavia becomes extremely upset and starts panicking and Wong Hei goes in and helps her get them back.

Reflecting on the Past

Their conversation eventually leads to Tavia talking about missing her father who has passed away when she was young. Tavia becomes emotionally upset and Wong Hei wanted to comfort her, but he holds back and doesn’t.

Testing out true feelings

Tavia gets Chris Lok Yi to do an act in front of Wong Hei, making it look like Chris has taken a drunk Tavia to a hotel room. Wong Hei ends up punching Chris and Tavia saw how much Wong Hei had truly cared about her. She wanted to prove to him that he did love her.

The get together Scene

After the scene above, Wong Hei still does not admit his feelings for her and continues to find excuses for his actions. She confesses her feelings for him and tells him how angry she is for falling for someone like him. She gets angry and upset because he wouldn’t admit that he loves her and starts hitting him…And then Wong Hei finally returns her feelings ^^

A little moment where Yoyo and Bobby finds out about their relationship

Wong Hei’s daughter finding out about their relationship

This scene was pretty cute. The three of them go shopping and when the daughter was not looking, the two would hold hands . They were trying to hide it from her because they were afraid she wouldn’t accept ‘another mother’. Every time the daughter turned back around they would let go of their hands, but of course this did not fool the little girl. She was well aware of what was happening.

Wong Hei and Tavia accidentally pointed towards another direction while holding and the daughter happily tells them that there was nothing to hide because people dating should be holding hands xD

– – –

On a side note: At the end, their relationship did not last and Wong Hei ends up going back with his ex-wife.

19. Men Don’t Cry
20. The Ultimate Crime Fighter

I think this year, the Best Series Award will go to Heart of Greed. It has been so successful and popular, with has the highest ratings in Hong Kong so far for the year. If The Drive of Life cannot exceed its rating, I don’t think there’s another series that could compete with it. I think Heart of Greed well-deserved this award. A great cast and touching story =) Equally though, I would like TVB to produce more series like Dicey Business and The Drive of Life (minus the lengthy-ness) too.

I don’t really watch host shows and other programs/variety shows, not enough to vote.

Synopsis

With the support of the head of the Police Authority, Guangzhou’s top villain HO KEI-KIN (Dayo Wong) has been riding roughshod over everyone around him. He is so manipulative that he has explored every possible means in his fight for a house with the buck-toothed owner LING YUK-TSUI (Cecilia Yip). TSUI is happy to have met the upright and honorable WONG FEI-HUNG (Lam Kar Wah). The pair quickly falls in love and even feels ready for marriage.

Interested in stirring up trouble, KIN tries to recruit more students for his kung-fu school by portraying himself as the hero who has defeated one of the Ten Tigers of Guangdong WONG KEI-YING. For the sake of fairness, HUNG is resolved to have a contest with KIN. Unfortunately, KIN manages to make HUNG give in with the help of the ancestral tablet of his late father. Thinking that he is a hopeless coward, TSUI decides to break off her engagement to HUNG. KIN quickly grabs the chance and begins to woo TSUI. TSUI agrees to transfer her house to KIN after much persuasion from him. KIN shows his true colors as soon as he has secured the property. TSUI is left homeless and has to put up at Po Chi Lam, the martial arts club set up by HUNG. KIN has lost his power and soon becomes an object of contempt and hatred.

With nowhere else to go, he decides to turn to HUNG and asks to be his apprentice. HUNG has tried his best to bring out the human side of KIN, for which he has received a lot of criticism from others. Despite HUNG’s support, KIN does not repent and behaves even worse than before, leaving Po Chi Lam in a state of total chaos…

============================================================

Adjustments to the synopsis given by TVB:

*Cecilia and Lam Kar Wah (Wong Fei Hong) do not quickly fall in love and weren’t prepared for marriage after their initial meeting.

*The House did not belong to Cecilia, but to her god-mother, so she wasn’t homeless after Dayo got the property, but her god-mother was homeless. Therefore, Cecilia did not stay at ‘Po Chi Lam’

Comments: The poster and cast doesn’t look that appealing to me, but nevertheless, I will give this series a go when its released on TVBJ Australia. There’s no cast I’m looking forward to seeing here, but I am hoping for some good comedy and entertainment.

[Steps] Episode 10: Fireflies

FIREFLIES by Noella Choi

Music by Jacky Chan Kwok Leung
This song was played during the romantic dance scene between Bernice and Steven (in episode 10) when he lights were off and they were stuck in the building. I really like the song and the lyrics fit well with their relationship up to that point. They have feeling towards each other but Steven seems to hold back from falling in love with her. This is also the scene where they get-together~

I don’t know why you hesitate
Every time you are near me
It is that you fear
You might fall into something deep

Standing on the edge of the night
Feelings raging inside
But if you open your eyes

Can you see the fireflies dancing in the air
Like the stars up in the sky
Feel the gentle breeze caress the night
Oh, it’s time to take to flight
Take my hand I’ll lead you to the places where
I am sure you’ve never been
So just hold me close and we will go
This is how it all begins

Falling in love

Download the Full Version here.

A very romantic Scene!

[Steps] Thoughts: Episode 1-10

I’m quite enjoying this series, mainly because of Steven Ma and Bernice Liu. I love this couple and they have so much more chemistry and character compared to their role in The Brink of Law. Both of the characters are really likable and i thought it was cute in the episode they both sorta realised they ‘liked’ each other. The other inspiring part of the series is definitely the dancing. I’d love to see of it though~ I feel like learning to dance watching it lol But reflecting on, I don’t care so much about the other characters.

Claire Yiu’s character for example. I find her really shallow, annoying and plain dumb. The way she goes crazy over “Bob” her ex-boyfriend is ridiculous. They got-back together because Claire stuck back to him and claimed him to be her boyfriend. They didn’t say the reason why they broke up in the first place, but it seems like she was dumb not to care anyway. Who needs a boyfriend like that? (referring to his response when Claire told him that she had to stay behind for dancing lessons). I also don’t see why Wayne likes her so much…(I’m not Wayne’s character I don’t know) maybe it proves the point that love is blind. You can be attracted to someone, and love someone without a reason, even if there’s nothing good about the person. Ok..that sounds mean for Claire’s character since she is a nice person XD

Fala and Bernice’s rivalry reminds me of the one between Shirley and the other violinist in The Price of Greed. Fala is jealous of Bernice because her mother likes Bernice a lot, praising her for her natural talent for dancing. Fala also believes that she is better than Bernice, so holds many grudges against her. Fala’s character is unlikable, and its so wrong for her to try kick/trip Bernice over during the dancing competition, especially when so many people are watching, its obvious. Fala also only had herself to blame when her commercial was replaced with Bernice. Despite her bad character, I think Fala looks really pretty and skinny here, especially compared to Bernice and would have thought Fala would look better for the advertisement.

Because of the way Kate’s character is brought up, she acts like a child. At times I do find her annoying, especially in the part where she believed the old man and accused Steven and Wayne. I have to say I think she’s looking prettier in the series (excluding parts where she is wearing the glasses). I would have thought her dancing role was larger.. Onto the love triangle, I don’t particularly favour any of the guys (i.e Mathew Ko or Stephen Wong)

By the end of episode 10, seems like most of the conflicts were resolved (other than Wayne hating Steven). It feels like it could be a happy ending for them all. Steven and Bernice get-together, Claire finally likes Wayne, Kate is with Mathew and Fala no longer hates Bernice..wonder what else is ahead?

Random Screencaptures from various episodes from 1-10

After hearing the things Charmaine has been saying to his father (forcing him into a corner, determined to kill off the company and offering him a bit more time if he begged her etc), Raymond goes to find Charmaine begging her to stop everything she was doing.
Raymond grabs onto Charmaine’s arm and pull her over to some street, and Myolie sees, following them.

Charmaine: “Let me go! What do you want?!”

Raymond: “You’re doing all this just because you hate me, isn’t it?”

Charmaine: “Yes, I hate everyone in the Wah family!”

Raymond: “OK, that’s simple then” (Raymond grabs a broken bottle and gives it to Charmaine)

“Hold it, stab me. You hate me right?”

Charmaine: “Let go!”

Raymond: “I’m telling you to stab me!”

Charmaine:” I’m telling you, let go!”

Raymond: “If you hate me so much, please just kill me! After you kill me, the Wah family and you won’t have anymore ‘debt’! Don’t’ harass my family! Don’t mess with ‘Wah Jit” (their car manufacturing company) ”

(Raymond is still holding onto the bottle tightly and his hands are bleeding)

Raymond: “Charmaine, I don’t want to see you suffering everyday… I don’t to see you carrying a burden everyday. Just stab me..after you stab me you can get rid of the burden….”

Raymond: “If you don’t kill me, I’m begging you, please don’t harass my family anymore. Just kill me..”

Charmaine takes the bottle off Raymond’s hands and throws it away. She hugs onto him tightly and the two of them cry..

Myolie sees the two realising that they still love each other, and she sadly leaves the scene.

After hugging for a while, Raymond realises that he shouldn’t be with Charmaine and lets her go.

Raymond: “I’m sorry..”

Raymond walks off and Charmaine stays there crying..

I felt sooo sad Myolie when they was trying on their wedding gown and taking their wedding photo. Myolie tried so hard to hold back her tears…but Raymond didn’t seem to notice..(similar to when it was obvious Charmaine was very angry before their wedding, but he didn’t realise)…I also felt very sad for her when she told Feng ShaoFeng that the wedding photo was enough for her.. T_T

Myolie decided to let Raymond go because she knew that the one Raymond truly loved was Charmaine and not her. She goes off to Beijing and leaves Raymond a letter where she reminds him of the time they met, how she fell for him, the things they’ve been through, the whole relationship between him and Charmaine and then how she witnessed the hugging scene (above). She tells him about Charmaine’s baby how Charmaine didn’t get rid of the baby deliberately…At the end, she asks him not to find her (Myolie) anymore, letting her go with some respect…

—-

After the hugging/stabbing scene (above), Charmaine does let go, selling off all her shares back to “Wah Jit”, ‘betraying ‘Ngai Tin Hung’. After she leaves his office, Raymond chases Charmaine who got in a taxi.
The taxi stops and Raymond pulls Charmaine out of the car.

Charmaine:” What do you want now? I already gave you  back the shares! What are you doing!”

Raymond hugs onto Charmaine ” Charamine, I’m sorry, I’m sorry! I know everything now. The baby was lsot due to an accident. It wasn’t your fault. I’m so sorry Charmaine..”

Very exciting scenes.. the Sub-themesong seem to fit the whole atmosphere really well making it even more dramatic!! *in love with the sub-themesong*

Looks like the end of the love triangle…all I hope now is that Charmaine won’t hurt Raymond again..~~

I’m have a bad feeling about this..

At the end of last episode, Raymond’s encounter with Charmaine causes Raymond to go emotionally unstable again. Torn apart because of Charmaine’s doing, he painfully, emotionally runs to find Myolie desperately to get Charmaine out of his mind. Poor thing ='(!!!

There, he finds Myolie learning to play basketball so that she can play with him when he has some spare time (since he’s really busy these days), to help him relieve some stress. Raymond is moved, and has a sudden urge to propose to Myolie.

It’s sad..I don’t think Raymond actually loves Myolie. I see it as merely loving the support Myolie is giving him and is grateful for everything she has done for him, stood by his side through all times and helped him get back up after falling so badly. He is comfortable around her. Does he love her? He would definitely have feelings towards her, but I don’t think he loves her more than Charmaine..*sigh* I see that Raymond wants to get married with Myolie to protect his inner insecurities and because of Charmaine. He wants to forget about her, because he knows he still loves Charmaine but they shouldn’t be together. It was not possible. He loves and hates her. I am fearing what would happen next..I really want Myolie and Raymond’s wedding to go smoothly and that they could live happily ever after, but I know its not going to happen..

I think we’re supposed to feel sorry for Charmaine because of the pain of losing her mother and her baby, and not being able to be with Raymond, ruining their own wedding to take revenge~but I don’t sympathise with her. I don’t agree with her reasoning. I hated everything she did to Raymond and the Wah family, and everything she put Raymond through. She has fallen into deep danger, hatred and jealousy. All that she thinks about is taking revenge, but she doesn’t think of what her mother would actually want for her. I don’t really care that Charmaine didn’t deliberately have an abortion. Raymond is the most innocent one…She keeps thinking that she’s the only one in pain but she doesn’t know that Raymond suffered all along too. He just got back up with the help of Myolie but doesn’t want Raymond to ever get out of his miseries. She ruined their wedding with her own hands but what does she want now? She’s still expecting Raymond to be overly-obsessed with her? (He probably is anyway though..) She doesn’t want him to have happiness ever again..she wants the whole Wah family to suffer with her…She should leave him alone!

Charmaine sees Raymond and Myolie from the outside of the Bridal-clothing store.

At the end of the episode, Myolie overhears Charmaine talking to the doctor, and finds out that Charmaine actually wanted to keep the baby and didn’t lose the baby because of an abortion. Charmaine can no longer have anymore babies. Why must Myolie find out this now ? ? Myolie has a soft-heart..
