[Survivor’s Law 2] Episode 6

Another pretty good episode ^^

Because of what happened in Episode 5, Ella goes to find her father as soon as he returns to Hong Kong. We learn a lot about the father and daughter relationship, and that his daughter is his first priority. During a meeting at work, Ella just rushes in, crying in his arms and he immediately drops his works. We also see Queenie Chu, playing “Noel”- Ella’s dad’s assistant. She seems to understand him very well, knows what he is thinking or needs as she takes charge and asks everyone to leave the room so the two together could have some private time together. Not only is she very understanding, she is also very clever and a very good assistant and he trusts her a lot. Ella trusts her a lot too and they get a long really well also because they are similar in age. There has been hints that something is going on between Ella’s dad and Noel, but they are keeping it from Ella, because they both know that Ella won’t accept “another mother”. Ella is upset for Pierre lying to her the whole time and she constantly asks her dad whether there would be any other men in this world as loyal as him to her mum, and will only love her even though she’s no longer here. He tells her, there is~ however Ella’s dad and Noel constantly exchange glances at each other…

I personally like Queenie’s character Noel here and hope that Ella would accept her someday, but it wouldn’t be easy because most likely, Ella would see it as betrayal.

Ella tells her father that she doesn’t want to be a lawyer anymore, because she only studied law because of Pierre, and her father is fully supportive of her or whatever decision she has to make.

Ella doesn’t turn up to the meeting, calling in saying that she wants to quit and Sammul hands in his resignation letter because he got back his license as a Barrister. The law firm appears to be reaching a shortage of employees…

On the other hand, Bobo’s Aunt has disappeared from the hospital! The nurses have said she had rushed off in a hurry and Kenneth gets frustrated that she had lied to him about taking care of Bobo just for a month, but to ‘toss’ the girl for him to look after forever and not wanting her back..In hope to ask for an answer, Kenneth’s brother (played by Power Chan) and his grandma decide to fly to Canada to find her. For the meantime, they decided not to tell Bobo because they didn’t want her to think she was not wanted.

Kenneth is sleeping when he gets awoken by noises of broken glass, thinking it was strange that his brother would break things, and becomes shocked when he figures out it must of been Bobo. He rushes out to see two broken plates on the floor and yells at her for playing with the kitchen and tells her that it’s dangerous to use the stove. She tells him that she was really hungry and she called him several times but he kept sleeping. “Really? Actually, I think you did” ^^; So Kenneth starts frying eggs (with trouble) and the little girl happily watches him at the door. The eggs turn out a bit scrabbled and burnt. Bobo tries it and happily replies that it tastes really good, and that it was the first egg that her daddy fried for her…. awwww.

Ahh she’s so cute XD XD She’s very adorable, well behaved and obedient ..and loves her daddy so much. It’s not like she’s cheeky, mischievous or naughty…(unlike Jacky boy in Fathers and Sons). Kenneth should like her so easily…

In the next scene, we see Kenneth holding her hands at a shopping centre. “I don’t understand, why do all girls like doing the same thing?”

Kenneth suddenly had the urge to go to the bathroom so tells Bobo to wait outside and that he’ll be back soon. He didn’t notice that Bobo actually said she wanted to go to the toilet too and the little girl stands there alone. A scary background music starts playing as someone from behind walks up to her and taps her on the shoulder. When Kenneth comes back out, Bobo is missing and he runs around the shopping centre worried looking for her. He ends up running to the help desk, wanting them to help broadcast a message at the centre, telling Bobo to come here to find him. The man replies, “one moment” and starts broadcasting another message:

“Little friend Sun Man Gwan (Kenneth), your family GaBo (Kenneth’s daughter) is waiting for you near the fountain” XD They made it sound like Kenneth was the lost little boy lol

Kenneth sees the girl with Ella who have bought a lot of bags of things. Kenneth starts yelling at her for not staying there where he told her to and Bobo tells him that she really needed to go to the toilet so Ella took her who happened to find her there. Kenneth continues to yell at her, saying how naughty she was to go off shopping afterwards. He tells her to go away, accidentally blurbing out that “It’s not wonder your Aunty doesn’t want you”.

I feel that Kenneth didn’t mean to yell at her like that and upset her but it was because he got really worried and frustrated looking for her while she was happily shopping with Ella.

Bobo starts crying and Ella takes her back to her home. The two talk with each other upstairs in the room and eventually gets Bobo to sleep. Kenneth then gets a call from their client from the previous episode whom they were not able to help claim compensation for, asking him to look after her daughter.

The two quickly make it to the scene to realise she wanted to commit suicide by jumping off a building. Ella apologises for the things she has said to her previously and encourages her not to give up hope, or her life because her daughter really needs her. They tell her its still possible to appeal to court and that they’ll try their best to help her. At that moment, the women’s daughter comes and calls out to her and she comes back down ^^

Kenneth tells Ella that he was impressed with the things she said to the women before and she tells him she learned them from Bobo. When they were upstairs, Bobo told her how a 8 year old child would feel if she couldn’t see her family again. She really wanted to have a dad. She thought that coming back to Hong Kong and finding him, she’ll be about to have a taste of a fatherly love. But instead, he didn’t really care about her. She already lost her mother, and now her Aunty ran away, she is afraid everyone will leave her and not want her anymore.

Kenneth: Such a small person, and she thinks much.

Ella: Don’ t you even know what Bobo is thinking? You feel like a failure don’t you? You should really go back and think about how to be a father.

Back at Ella’s house,Kenneth apologises to Bobo and cheers her up by frying an egg for her again and promises that he won’t leave her again.

Ella and Kenneth end up appealing to court about the methods of Pierre gathering the evidence. The two were able to prove his methods and the things he says questionable, firstly one pill having gone missing after he used the bathroom. The pills were placed high up on the cupboard so her daughter would not have been able to reach. She would be very careful in not losing any because they were very expensive and having more than one dosage can be very harmful to the body. To ensure they didn’t take any extra pills, the women and her daughter both has a check up and was proven by the doctors.

Next Ella brought up in court the way he had deceived her in the past about having a baby with another women to trick her, making her trust him all these years and using her. Thirdly, she questioned Pierre the process of what he did in the bathroom and he comments very clearly that he flushed the toilet after. It turns out that on the day he was there, the water system was under maintainance for the block so there was no water to “flush” but had to use a bucket to water. And finally, a photograph could be found on the papers of Piere’s client with the lawyer Pierre in the background. It is possible that the lawyer already knew he would take on the case before ie. the reason why he went to the women’s house.

Ella and Kenneth won in court and the women was about to get her compensation! ^^

Outside of the court, Ella told Kenneth that she’s prepared a speech to make to Pierre, to tell him off for what a jerk he was. She said that she only practiced it once in front of a mirror so it should be more effective if she could practice it on a person. Getting straight into the act, Ella started yelling at Kenneth with hatred, anger and disgust~ This scene was pretty funny because Ella was so into it that it shocked Kenneth XD He was so impressed with Ella xD But when she was about to start talking to Pierre, Pierre was smiling at her looking happy, congratulating on her performance just then in court and she eventually smiled back and ended with a handshake lol She told Kenneth that Pierre wasn’t worth her effort because he has already turned completely into a fakeo hehe..

Ella returns to the firm to pack her things as she gets ready to leave. Her colleagues have a farewell party for her which Kenneth organised. Ella seems a bit sad, and already missing the place, but she feels that there’s no reason for her to stay any more because the reason she studied law was because of Pierre. Kenneth teaches her that she became a lawyer for the wrong reason, and she’s also quitting for the wrong reason. He gives her a thank you card from the women’s child “Sister(Jie Je) is the most beautiful and cleverest and most righteous lawyer. Thank you” Ella is touched and realises why she should be a lawyer=)

Bobo returns home with Kenneth with lots of luggages…She changed!!! =___= her luggage were all full of cosmetics and facial stuff, lots of expensive things (giving the receipt for Kenneth to repay Ella)…omg…she’s totally turned into another Ella (Lily) !! Ella also seems to have taught her a lot of things that are …argh…not suitable for a little child to be so stuck up about. Bobo is becoming spoilt.

At the end of the episode, Power and his Grandma returns to Hong Kong. They couldn’t find the Aunt, but they found Bobo’s birth certificate. On the father’s section was printed with Kenneth’s name…

Warning: Ending Spoiler!! [All my posts contain spoilers, but this is the ending, so an extra warning message ^__^]

woohoo!! Face to Fate had a good ending ^^ Sorta sad to see it end, I’m happy how things turned out.

The Golden Seal Battle

I didn’t expect the battle between Frankie (Lee Bo Yi) and Raymond (Lai Yeuk Yi) being so short compared to the other competitors, but at least it wasn’t DragonBall Z style in length. I think Frankie would have won Raymond but he didn’t give up on his friend, giving him a chance; both of their souls or minds seemed to be in a different dimension as Frankie tried to convince Raymond. However, Raymond fought back, throwing a pin that shattering Frankie’s soul. Frankie has been killed and Raymond along with the Dark side has been declared the winner. At this point, the Dark Sect leader comes along , now having mastered his ultimate technique, wanting to rule over the world. (On a side not, don’t they have emperors in those days?~ not that it really matters lol) He gave the White side three days to surrender and be his followers or he would kill them all.

Yin Yei Loi finally wakes up

Soon after, the Dark Sect leader taught Raymond to fully master the technique, enabling him to change his blood into the last cure and he saves Selena ^_^(I just love seeing Raymond happy) Unfortunately, as a consequence Selena can never be with him anymore because she can no longer face him … she can not face everyone or all those who have been killed, especially Frankie, for the exchange of her own life. He was no longer the Raymond she knew.

Raymond is by Selena’s side as she wakes up.

Seeing the trailer of Frankie and Raymond fighting the Dark Sect~ it was pretty obvious Frankie wouldn’t have died, but I was curious to see how he would revive. I was guessing this would be a good opportunity for Raymond to redeem himself . I was thinking maybe it was the incent burner he gave Selena to give Frankie to ‘preserve this body longer’ (which was correct! But I never guessed that the pin he threw was only to make Frankie appear dead) I should have known Raymond’s character wasn’t that evil (sorry Raymond ..) I also thought maybe after gaining the blood for the last cure he could revive Frankie the same way he revived Selena. I’m not sure whether its because I knew Frankie would wake up again, but I didn’t feel sad when Frankie died or when Tavia was crying. I would have thought Tavia would have showed strong feelings of angry and suffering to her father who indirectly caused the death of Li Bo Yi. If Raymond’s character had died instead, I know that I would have felt really sad.

Fighting against the Dark Sect Leader

Raymond and Frankie fight the Dark Sect leader together.

It was so cool when Raymond and Frankie were fighting along side each other against the dark sect leader! The two were really o-ordinated and we haven’t seen the two on the same side for a long time. Both Raymond and Frankie were badly injured- blood coming out of their mouth and the Dark Sect leader even blasted right through Raymond o_o) .

John Chiang comes along to save the day lol *phew* xD I think that’s a good way to get rid of the two..both learned deadly attacks..and I guess its sorta a way for John Chiang’s character to redeem himself as well. It’s a good way to end it, with the two daughters there for their final words. The Dark Sect leader was also about to hear Tavia call him ‘father’.

The Ending

Tavia, as expected, became the leader of the Dark Sect, and as her father predicted, she became the ruler of the Dark/White side (she looks cool in the purple). Because of her position, she was unable to be with Frankie. It had to take her two years to make peace between the Black and White side.

Raymond, Selena and boy live happily ever after ^^ Raymond’s hair has gone back black!! He’s cured!! =D

One Happy family ^^ Their ‘son’ just won in a bun eating competition~

Gotta say Frankie and Tavia’s relationship was so-so. Nothing too romantic but they do end up together after 2 years~ Even after having not met for two years, Frankie doesn’t ask Tavia to leave with him. Tavia makes the move and decides to be with him. The ending is pretty much like the first episode with the two clans fighting (and..how come? I thought they were at peace o.0? Both of them didn’t care either and just walked off xD) With that, the series comes to and end ~ ~

P.s: To Fairy: I didn’t see the ending credit part with White-hair Raymond(white flowers on his head), the boy and Selena either =( Must of missed it..either that, or its a cut scene.

[Wars of In-Laws II] Episode 8

A very pretty scene for a very sweet moment! I really liked the whole atmosphere of the scene, includng the lighting. It was relaxing, peaceful, simple and Myolie looked really pretty~

This is the scene Bosco and Myolie make up with each other after Myolie got angry at him for returning to “Elva” to work for Liza. Bosco was thinking Myolie was being the unreasonable one, feeling that she only had grudges against his mother. The two went into a cold war, and didn’t speak to each other.

Myolie is in Shanghai for a business trip where she encounters a few problems and was feeling upset after what Joyce had said to her and the things that happened on the trip. She wanted someone to talk to, she wanted to talk to her husband. She thought for awhile whether to call Bosco or not, (who has not called her for a long time) but she eventually does.

To her disappointment, it went to the voice mail. She started talking to him and ended with a smile, when she heard a voice answer her and she turns around ^^ I was really happy for Myolie, because I didn’t expect him to appear either~ everything just seemed to have lightened up.

The Sub Themesong “Thankful for Meeting You” sung by the two started playing in the background and really enhanced everything.

I really felt Myolie’s loneliness as she spoke and left the message for him. That part was quiet (no background music) and felt a bit empty. The time they had separated allowed them both to learn, understand each other and grow. They missed each other, and wanted to be together <3

Myolie: Husband?
Bosco Voice mail (in a funny accent): Friend, I can’t answer your call at the moment. Please leave a message after the beep, ok?

Myolie: Husband, it’s me. Not much, just that you haven’t called me in a long time..so I’m calling you. I’ve encountered some sad things here in Shanghai. Mother in-law is right, being a “Wong Ma Qua” is really hard. No matter how hard you try, they’ll always be people who hate you.

Previously I’ve even said so lightly to Mother in-law that I’ll prove to you I’ll hang on and won’t give up so easily. But when I’ve come across difficulties, I realise that it’s actually very hard to keep going on. Now I know how you feel. Two hours ago, I really wanted to take catch a plane back to find you, but now I’ve thought it through. I must keep going on. I need to give out more than everyone else, then I can advance myself. Then I’ll have the right to set a good example. (Starts to smile). Husband, let’s work hard together. ^^

Bosco: I know, wife.

(The Sub themesong starts playing in the background)

Myolie: Husband!! ( The two hug each other) How come you’re here?

Bosco: Wife.. actually, Mum’s right. I’m just like a kid, I don’t know how to be someone’s husband. I guess its good this way, that we separated a bit. It gave us some space to reflect, we’ll treat it as a test. I’ve thought about things very clearly. Just now I caught the flight with Ryan to find you. Let’s not have a cold war anymore. I promise you that from now on, I’ll work very hard and won’t give up half way…

My thoughts: I haven’t seen the prequel (only an episode out of randomness) but since the cast have changed like Survivor’s Law 2, I can assume it won’t really have much reference so it wouldn’t really matter. Here is Steven Ma and Wayne Lai together again, so I hope they’ll be great comedy. I don’t feel much for Yumiko. She doesn’t really act but I think it might be refreshing. And then there’s Ha Yu, I hope he doesn’t play another annoying character(I don’t tend to like the roles he plays that much)

[Survivor’s Law 2] Episode 5

This was a pretty interesting episode! There’s are more back stories for Kenneth, Sammul, Selena and Ella.

Kenneth

The little girl takes out a photo of Kenneth and his ex-girlfriend which is claims is her mum and dad. She says her mother died in Vancouver a year ago and her Aunty told her her father’s name and that he works at a bar in HK. Kenneth goes to find the girl’s Aunt who is in the hospital due to get in a accident while she and her niece came to Hong Kong to visit a relative. Kenneth was not the father of the girl, but they mislead her into thinking that because her real father disappeared before she was even born. She explains that she lied to the girl,..And requests to keep the secret and hoping Kenneth will look after her for a month while she recovers in hospital.

The nurse Kenneth tried to pick up in the previous episodes is told by the girl that Kenneth is her father and will be going home with him. The nurse is surprised, and tells him that he should concentrate on being a father instead of thinking about “other stuff” ehehe.

Kenneth is really unhappy and at first I thought it was because he didn’t like kids, or because he didn’t want to take on the responsibility of a father especially when he wasn’t her real father. It turns out Kenneth was in love with the girl’s mum (his ex-girlfriend), so much he wanted to be with her forever. However, 3 months after they started dating, she just left a message and then left, saying she only used him a fall-back. He was really heart broken, always drinking every night until the was accused of drug dealing. Only after meeting Waise (Brendon) who helped prove him innocent, that did gain new goals and meaning in life.

Bed Time! Story Time!

Another cute scene. Kenneth tells the girl “Bobo” that she’ll sleep in his room and that he’ll sleep in the lounge because “her great grandma hits people when she’s drunk, and he kills people when he sleeps” XD She points to the porn magazine on his bed and asks ‘what’s that?’ and Kenneth quickly takes it away. She then asks for a bedtime story, saying her mum and aunty used to always tell her stories to get her to sleep. Kenneth scratches his head saying to himself “How annoying..telling stories, I only know perverted ones” XD

Kenneth ends up telling her a “scary” story instead, about some monsters that would come and strangle kids if they don’t sleep XD lol, he’s so silly..of course, it ends up scaring her that she can’t sleep. In the middle of the night, Bobo wakes up Kenneth saying she’s scared. And so, Kenneth decides that he’ll turn on the TV for her to watch instead, but almost every channel was a horror movie XD

I love watching Kenneth with his ‘daughter’. TVB loves doing this to us. I’m sure the two will share lots of happy memories together and that one day, Kenneth will really love the girl even if he isn’t his real daughter^^

Bobo calling her daddy asking if he misses her XD so cute.

Sammul and Selena

We find out that Selena has been lying to her parents the whole time that Saumml was a lawyer earning a lot of money, and not the fact that his license was currently suspended. She didn’t want her parents to look down at him or having her parents constantly introducing other guys to her (who are like doctors etc). Because of this, Selena didn’t bring Sammul home to meet the parents even after dating for more than 2 years and came up with excuses that it’s because he is really busy as a lawyer. She wanted to introduce him properly one month later when he got back his license. Sammul also didn’t know that Selena hadn’t told her parents about it and the embarrassment comes when Selena’s dad was involved in an accident and argument with Kenneth’s grandma and ‘daughter’ at a restaurant and he started saying how his future son in-law is a big lawyer and will sue the little girl for spilling water on the floor. He went to the lawyer’s firm to find Sammul …to find out the truth. Selena tells her parents the truth and that she won’t like anyone but Sammul. I do feel bad for the couple, and especially Sammul.

I’m really happy he has Selena there for him. She does everything for him, and when he was worried about getting the money to open up his own chamber, Selena surprises him by showing him a large sum of money in his bank account. It turns out that Selena has been saving for him, and all this time she hasn’t used any of the money he has given her and was putting in her own savings. really hope Sammul won’t betray her someday..

Ella
Ella meets her ex- lover again who is also a lawyer, but has married another women (the judge she had grudges against in episode 4). We learn that he was the reason she decided to study law instead of pursuing her dream in design. They dated back in high school.. but then he left Hk to study collage overseas in England. One day, Ella went to find him at the college, surprising him saying that she’ll also be studying at the same college as him, even though he’ll be graduating soon. He openly and directly tells her that he cannot be with her anymore because he has met another girl and because he got lonely, he even got her pregnant. He tried to appear honest towards her, saying that even though they cannot be together, she will always be the most important women to him. I personally found that very strange! A man so honest and direct? Ella to accept it so..understandingly? She continues to trust him with all her heart..

Her ex-lover, played by Pierre Ngo approaches her and offers to drive her to her client’s place (a single mother). When Ella gets to the client’s place she realises her bag was opened and an important document was missing. Pierre goes to find Ella to return the document, saying she left it in his car and then borrows the bathroom. The case was about claiming for compensation for getting hit by a car. On the day of court, to their surprise, Pierre was the opposition lawyer and ended up coming with evidence, a pill used for brain cancer used by Ella’s client. Along with that, he points out the fact she doesn’t have any insurance not because she doesn’t have the funds but because she was blacklisted from Insurance companies after an incident occurred where she tried to make a fake claim. Linking the two ideas together, he says that the women, knowing she doesn’t have long to live due to her brain cancer, may have deliberately tried getting in an accident, so she would have money left for her daughter!

Kenneth knows that it must have been Pierre getting close to Ella because he wanted to gather evidence, and stealing a pill from the client’s house. After confronting Ella what kind of person Pierre is but wrtiing a fake sms saying the judge never got pregnant before, Ella get so angry at him that she slaps him across his face. Ella is unable to accept the fact he would betray her, and Kenneth starts yelling at her, saying how dumb she is as Ella starts whining and crying like a spoiled girl..

[Wars of In-Laws II] Episode 4

I quite liked this episode because I felt some bonding between Myolie and Liza. It may be too early to say but it reminded me of the earlier episodes of WOIL1 where Liza was trying to teach Myolie that dance to perform and Myolie tries really hard not to disappoint her and does not let her down (because Bosco’s other identity taught her to combine her interest in Marital arts with dancing).

Bosco trying to cheer up Myolie with a puppet and bracelet.

After marrying Bosco and staying at home without having to do any house chores, Myolie becomes extremely bored at home so Myolie applies for the vacant position at “Elva”, to be Liza’s personal assistant. She hopes that she will get along with her and in the end, Bosco will be happy if their relationship goes well. All goes well for Myolie (and not so well for Liza) when Myolie is mistakenly hired. Liza wanted to get rid of her when she turned up to work, but Myolie, having being a police before knows the law, saying she cannot be fired unless she has done a major mistake during her first week trial/training period.

Myolie tries really hard to survive the 7 days without doing any mistakes and I’m glad Liza didn’t deliberately blame her for no reason or try to kick her out. All the other employees end up giving “all” their work to her to do. When Bosco tries to get Myolie to relax and ‘bludge’  with him more she does what a harder worker does by encouragingly him to work hard too and impress Liza.

Myolie and Bosco take a short break in the office, making another video recording of them sitting on office chairs and a broom stick, pretending to be sailing a boat XD

All goes well for Myolie for the six days..until day seven came. I liked the twist where Joyce thought she had lost the blueprints, so she tries to pass the blame to Myolie, but the blue prints get passed onto Nancy etc who left it on the table until Derek realises one is missing! Liza gets extremely angry when she hears the news and everyone in the company do a search, however they couldn’t find it. The employees all want Myolie to take the blame because everyone else “needed” the job, while Myolie could pretty much live off her husband and at the end, she agrees…it turns out that it was Liza’s mistake from the start and the “missing” blueprint was in her drawer ehhehe..of course, she did not admit it and told them ” It wasn’t important how she found”. She knew that Myolie took the blame when it wasn’t her fault and tells her that she was disappointed in her to admitting when she didn’t do it, not valuing the job that much.

In the end of course, she lets Myolie stay and later on, Myolie finds out that Liza had it the whole time XD

Bosco comes back from a three day business trip in Singapore and bought Myolie a bikini. The two get interrupted by Liza.

So! Myolie can officially work at “Elva” and Liza wakes her up at 3am to teach her and prepare her for work lol She gave her all sorts of skin care cleansers, makeup, masks etc and even decided what clothes to wear on certain days. The clothes don’t look bad at all lol and I have to say Myolie looks quite decent with the end result. Myolie wasn’t that happy having to do her makeup at 3am, preparing 4 hours for it as she would rather sleep but I thought Liza wasn’t doing it to make life miserable for her. I mean, surely women don’t wake up at 3am everyday to prepare themselves, but Liza didn’t sleep during that time either and was teaching her.

So..after being dressed all all nicely, Liza tells Joyce not to let Myolie bother her and to give Myolie her things to do, and fix it up or redo them if Myolie doesn’t do them properly. because Joyce doesn’t want to do “double” the work, she preferred not to give Myolie anything to do at all and hence Myolie was bored again. Her uncle ended up calling her out to lunch with her uncle and his mates.

Myolie takes off one of her shoes, but it gets carried away by a dog. Liza was with some other ladies and happened to come by . Without thinking, the happy Myolie calls her and runs up to her with a missing shoe and then even her bra falls off XD How embarrassing!!

[Survivor’s Law 2] Episode 4

This episode continues on the case about the Magician harassing his assistant.

Case: Magician + Sexual Harassment to female assistant

(Kenneth and Sammul’s case)

The Magician hired a new female assistant where it was necessary for to dress up revealing because it was a need of the profession to draw the audience’s attention to her instead. The trick required him to reach out towards her chest and “pull out” a flower. The new female assistant has accusing him that he actually touched her, saying it was sexual harassment and using the “magic trick” to merely used cover up the fact he was ‘touching’ her.

To show his magic trick on court to show it was not necessary to touch her, he tried to find his previous assistants but weren’t able to contact them. Kenneth ends up getting Ella to be his assistant, but you can tell already that Ella was feeling uncomfortable around him. When the magician reached out towards her cheat, she backed away and later even became the witness for the female assistant, saying that the magician had previously sexually harassed her too! The judge actually wanted to find out the whole process, the secrets to the magic trick, but he, as a Magician would rather be declared guilty than to reveal the secrets of a magic trick.

There Kenneth decides to follow the assistant, and Sammul is not happy with what he was doing. They realised that the girl was a huge fan of another Magician that performed magic tricks at the shopping centre (that the accused magician worked at), who was replaced by the new magician. She accused the man because he wanted her favourite magician to perform again. Kenneth ends up putting a book into her bag at a shop and the shopkeepers accused her of stealing and Sammul helps her get out of it, by helping her say good words. This makes the girl grateful for their help and feeling bad for the one being accused, she goes back to court and reveals the truth.

My thoughts: At first I was sort of interested in this case becuse I thought the actually harassed her and wanted to see how Kenneth would fight out of it. I was sort of convinced that he actually did it, but the only doubt was because he was Kenneth’s friend. Besides, Kenneth really only helps “good” people achieve their justice. I also wanted to find out the secrets to the magic trick but that would have been too easy of a win, and if it is a real magic trick, I don’t think Magicians want that secret to be revealed to all the audiences who watch the series lol I think it does sound a bit lame how she went to the extreme of accusing another just so she can watch her favourite magician perform again. They tried to make it ‘realistic’ by coming up with a back story for her, but still….

On a side not, why did the magician run his hand down Ella’s back in their first meeting? Was he just that of a friendly guy?

= = =

Once again, Sammul expresses his dislike of Kenneth’s methods of handling the cases, disturbing witnesses and doing ‘illegal’ things to manipulates the outcome of the results. Sammul even went to Waise and started complaining to him about Kenneth, wanting to report him in. Kenneth happened to be there and end up playing a game of soccer. In the soccer match, Sammul and Kenneth continue to have grudges and having a go at each other, eventually leading into a fight. The referee and other players tried to stop them where Sammul bashes the referee, knocking him unconscious. Knowing that Sammul may not get back his license, Kenneth sticks up for him and claims that he was the one who hit the referee. After this incident, Sammul was grateful to Kenneth (he didn’t think Kenneth would do that for him) and goes to thanks him. From this point on, the two become friends~

The two become friends and decided to continue from where they left off in their soccer game.

We also learn that Kenneth really does not like kids and can’t get along with them either. One of Ella’s client came in to discuss about the custody of her child, and Kenneth was made to look after her son- played by the little Jacky boy, while they discussed. He becomes so annoyed at him (I can feel his pain too XD)

The two were in Ella’s room while they wait..

Boy: What are love/feelings?
Kenneth: It’s very complicated, even if I tell you, you won’t understand.
Boy: Then, what about love at first sight?
Kenneth: That’s adult’s game, why is a child asking about it for?
Boy : What is love at first sight?
Kenneth: Err..let’s say, you really like eating pork chops, and then you suddenly saw a piece of pork chops and you want to bite into it. That’s love at first sight.
Boy: Then..if there’s love at first sight, then how come some people say that love has to grow and develop?
Kenneth: Well some people don’t like pork chops. But after looking at it for awhile, they still want to bite into it. That’s developing feelings.
Boy: Dad and mum have been with each other so long and still don’t have feelings? Why do they have to divorce?
Kenneth: That’s adult matters, why is a child asking so much about it for?
Boy: They’re having a divorce, who should I go with?
Kenneth: I don’t know.
Boy: Should I follow my dad or my mum?
Kenneth: I said I don’t know!
Boy: What is this thing called love..?
Kenneth: Enough! *Kenneth grabs some papers and gives it to him* Go draw some pictures and don’t make any noise!

Kenneth ends up falling asleep while Jacky boy is scribbling all over Ella’s documents and stabbing them with a pen. Kenneth suddenly wakes up to realise what has happened.

Kenneth: You can’t draw on this!!
Boy: Mum and Dad doesn’t want me anymore, and now you’re yelling at me. (starts to sob)
Kenneth: I’m not yelling at you…I’m just.. I told you to draw on the blank papers.
Boy(starts crying): Why do I have to draw on the paper?
Kenneth: Er..Don’t cry. How about we play ‘Scissors paper Rock”?
Boy: Is it the ones that if you lose, you have to get slapped?
Kenneth: Yeah! Of course those! If it isn’t those I won’t play.

The boy ends up winning 10 in a row and Kenneth keeps getting slapped around his face. Just when Kenneth won once and was about to slap him back, the boy starts screaming in fear, and the client comes in, seeing Kenneth hold his sons arm in one hand, and a ‘slapping’ gesture with the other hand. “What’s happening here?”

“Mum he hit me!!!” XD Oh boy..poor Kenneth.

Ella complaining to Waise about Kenneth about not liking him and not wanting to work with him anymore and Waise tells her that it appears she is the only one in the office who doesn’t get along with him.

While Ella is in court for the case about the custody as the child child, we see Ella and the judge have something against each other and Ella tries to bag down the judge of her ability to handle the case. (The were previously involved in a love triangle..) Rebecca ends up giving her case to Kenneth because she was not happy with what Ella did in court.

After Kenneth did some community service (for hitting the referee) at a hospital, a little girl followed him out of the hospital and almost gets run over by a car. Kenneth saves her and tells her to go back to the hospital and she reluctant does. I would have thought Kenneth should have taken the little girl back himself instead of letting her walk back, it might have been dangerous. It looks like the little girl really likes Kenneth . At the end of the episode, when Ella went to find Kenneth at Kenneth’s family bar, asking him to give the case back to her, the little girl appears again, calling him “daddy!”
