Another exciting episode..a lot of things happened! I love Raymond’s character <3 I actually quite like Raymond and Myolie together and the way he is always protecting her. I don’t want Myolie to get back her memories…she’ll be so much happier this way….it’s going to ruin everything..

So that his father would let Myolie stay, Raymond agrees to compete in the competition. On the day of the competition, Derek Kwok also appears with Yoyo Chen (his girlfriend?) who is also watching the contest, though he seems rather bored and not impressed with what he sees. Raymond starts yawning too ^^; Eventually Raymond challenges the person and wins with ease. Vincent then challenges Raymond! I always wanted to know who was more powerful but it becomes obvious from Derek and Paul that Vincent is no match to Raymond.

Derek speculates that Raymond is leading Vincent into a trap, and within three more moves, Raymond would win. However, when Vincent and Raymond were fighting on stage, Myolie turns up and when she sees Vincent fighting, she is reminded of something and she screams in fear! I think she remembers Vincent fighting the boxer. Raymond gets distracted, letting Vincent kick Raymond off the stage! Myolie runs off and Raymond chases after her..making Vincent the winner…

Raymond was really worried about Myolie but when he realised she could speak again he was relieved and happy for her. He thought that losing in the battle was worth it. Poor Raymond..Myolie is his first priority? The two went back to apologize and Paul and the Sect is very disappointed and angry at Raymond’s actions. However, he lets Myolie stay but punishes Raymond…

Derek goes to find Master Kwan and challenges him in chess and martial arts but loses to him =) Wow..Master Kwan is the most powerful man in the series so far, though it is also obvious that Derek is also very good.. Derek is really happy to find someone worthy of fighting with him and hopes that he would be able to fight with Master Kwan in the future again. As Derek leaves, he implies to Vincent that if Raymond did not get distracted, Vincent would have lost that match. Upon hearing this, Vincent gets disturbed and wants to have a rematch with Raymond to prove who is more powerful. He secretly challenges Raymond again at a forest in a few days time. Derek is also Ai Wai (Police Captain)’s god-brother. The Police Captain saved his life when he was younger and there was an agreement that after the five years was up, Derek would come back and help fight for him..damn..not a good sign having Derek on the bad people’s side =(

Raymond continues to help Myolie regain memories by taking her around the Capital which she feels familiar with. When he goes to get a drink for Myolie, (why didn’t they just go together?) Selena finds her and realises that she has lost her memories! However, at the same time, Ai Wai (Police Captain) also found them and attempts to arrest Myolie for the wedding! Raymond comes back just in time and ends up lying, saying that Myolie is actually his cousin who he brought back from Shanghai. In order to protect Myolie, Selena lies as well, denying that she actually knows her, though mentioning that she reminded her a lot of Myolie. Myolie ended up believing that she and Raymond were cousins XD

When Raymond was helping Myolie put ointment on her hands, Myolie finds the smell of the herbs familiar (those that Vincent had given her when her face was cut) so Raymond decided to buy a lot of herbs in hope she can remember more. The Sect’s other disciples , especially Power, are very angry at Raymond’s behaviour, thinking that Raymond is too busy chasing after the girl when he had a match to face soon (with Vincent again). It was also because of Myolie that he lost in the competition, causing their Sect (as the top Sect in the capital) to lose their pride. So that their Sect doesn’t lose again in the re-match, Power decides to send his fellow disciples with him to fight Vincent before he reaches Raymond~

argh..Power is causing so much trouble! ! Raymond would have won Vincent anyway -___- but now he’s just making Raymond seem like a coward..When Power sent his fellow disciples to fight Vincent, Power actually didn’t fight himself. What’s that supposed to mean?

Raymond thought that Vincent decided not to turn up to his own challenge while Vincent thought that Raymond was a coward who didn’t want to fight him because he was scared of losing, so he sent the group of them to fight him instead. Vincent ends up beating the disciples and angered that Raymond did not turn up to the challenge, he goes to the Sect to find him while he injures a lot of disciples. Vincent ends up fighting with Paul who was practicing his skills..Vincent seems so proud of himself though. I got really annoyed when he started boasting about himself and his Master, since Paul could not win Master Kwan..

In the midst of the fight, Paul’s heart problem seems to be taking affect…

Yay! Raymond appears !! ^^ I enjoyed his appearance a lot =)

Master Kwan tells Vincent about his father (played by John Chiang) and their past. The two (including the beggar in episode 5) were part of a Secret Sect which were made up of the secrets to every type of martial arts skills and compiled them all in a book. Soon after, a mysterious group of people wanted to get their hands on the book and were after them. Vincent’s parents were killed in the process, and the book itself was actually burnt in a fire…

Master Kwan didn’t want the hatred in Vincent’s heart to grow deeper so he decided not to tell him any of his knowledge about the people who killed his father, keeping part of the story hidden because he didn’t want Vincent to seek revenge. Vincent becomes very upset when he realises that his parents left and died trying to protect him, and it was also the reason Master Kwan had left him back then. Vincent is now determined to master his skills and find out who killed his parents and take revenge. Melissa decides to stay in hope that she would be able to help him.

Myolie runs away to Shanghai and for the past week she just kept drinking and getting drunk. She hasn’t paid rent at the hotel and when she realises that her money has gone missing, Myolie starts accusing that the workers there must of stole it and in the midst of struggling Myolie gets knocked unconscious. The hotel people get scared so they carried her away and tossed her in some bush.

This is where Raymond finds her and when she wakes up, she becomes mute and loses memories of who she is etc, so Raymond and his friends send her to the hospital to find out it was caused by psychological reasons.

Raymond is actually Paul Chun’s son who was sent to Shanghai to study, but it has been told that instead of staying for one year, he stayed for 5 and doesn’t feel like going home ^^; He also initially went to study Medicine but changed to Music, so his father isn’t very impressed at all because he doesn’t believe Music can help advance their “Moon Pai” (Martial Arts Sect) , nor does he believe that Raymond takes the “Moon Pai” seriously. Raymond is very charming here and I love his playful personality=D He’s a really nice easy-going guy with a sense of righteousness.

A martial arts competition is to be held at the Captial, and each ‘Moon Pai’ will have a representative to compete. Power Chan plays the sect’s eldest disciple (Dai Si Hing) who is very hard working, but Raymond’s 2nd “Si-Sok” believes Raymond is the better candidate because not only does he have the skills, but he is also very clever. I have a feeling Power isn’t going to be very happy they choose Raymond over him…

They managed to convince Raymond to return home!

I’m starting to feel sorry for Myolie. Maybe it’s because she doesn’t remember anything and can’t speak so she is very helpless and her attitude has changed. Upon hearing the nurses talk about sending her away, Myolie gets scared and runs away from the hospital and sleeps on the streets. However, she gets harassed by three men the next day  but luckily Raymond was there and saves her =)

Feeling very sorry for Myolie because she has no where to go, and no one to go to, Raymond decides to take her back to the Captial with him!

Oh dear..she’s going back where she started! 0_0

Paul was really happy to know that Raymond has returned, but of course, he doesn’t want to show it and expresses his discontent with Raymond ^^; Paul decides to test Raymond to see if his martial arts have become rusty after going away all this time, but of course, Raymond proves to him that is hasn’t slacked off at all 🙂 However, when Raymond refuses to enter the competition because “it was no fun”, Paul gets angry and disappointed with him again.

Raymond and Myolie realise they share an interest in music and Raymond plays the violin for her. When Raymond asked what message the music conveyed, Myolie wrote “love” on a piece of paper.

Raymond: That’s right, “love” is the soul to this music. Before I didn’t realise why I had chose to learn music, but now I know. I was waiting for someone who understands music 🙂

Raymond cares a lot about Myolie and promised to take care of her and help her regain her memories.

At the end of the episode, Raymond’s 2nd Si-Sok asks Myolie to leave because it was inappropriate for a girl to stay.

The “Death Investigation Extension (D.I.E.)” in the police force was established to accommodate those who have been sent away by their supervisors. As everybody knows, members of the Extension are to investigate unsolved cold cases. YUE CHI-LONG (Roger Kwok Chun On), who has cracked a large number of difficult cases by extrasensory means, is assigned to the D.I.E. believing that he will get promoted soon. Later LONG finds out that his supervisor still has a long way to go before he reaches retirement age. Hoping to leave the Extension as soon as possible, he gets to solve a lot of intriguing cases. New appointee YING CHING-CHING ( Sonija Kwok) is a good-looking girl but she means to act tough and sassy in front of others. She takes an uncompromising stand over every case she deals with, which leads her into constant quarrels with LONG. The relationship between the pair is deteriorating day after day.

LONG’s elder sister, YUE CHI-CHING (Margie Tsang Wah Sin), has been living with him. While investigating an old case, LONG gets to find his long-lost father YUE TAI-HOI (Bryan Leung Ka Yan). Through close collaboration with LONG, CHING-CHING has gradually developed affection for him. As she is still torn between LONG and her two-timing boyfriend SHING KA-TSUN (Kenneth Ma Kwok Ming), LONG has started to try to avoid her without rhyme or reason. Feeling so confused about what is happening, CHING-CHING decides to do some probing and is shocked to discover that LONG has been dogged by a female ghost called SIU SIN ( Kitty Yuen)…

Am I enjoying The Seventh Day? I guess I can say I sort of am, but I’m hoping that there would be a more solid storyline and direction or I may start losing interest. A lot of the time, this series seems quite unrealistic and a bit ‘silly’, especially between Natalie and Bosco but they’re still sort of funny and cute. Kevin’s character’s actions seem a bit extreme at times too (for e.g, the part where he opened the door of the car, jumping off a building…)

They made the lighting similar to that used in Under the Canopy of Love, attempting to create a feeling of being a Fairy Tale, but I don’t like the blurriness. I feel like I needed a HDTV to sharpen my eyesight. I want to see things more clearly and didn’t like the overall effect. The two pairings don’t seem to know each other yet which makes it feel like two separate storyline on their own. The idea about two people born on the same day doesn’t feel that strong and I often have to remind myself mentally that they’re trying to show a contrast between the two couples and the ups and downs in their relationship.

The story turned out a little different from what I had imagined from seeing the Sales Presentation and the offical Series Synopsis. I thought the characters would meet and fall in love in the first seven days, but I’m sure seven days has past since they met each other… Is the most beautiful 7th day referring to August 7th, or the 7 days after they get together?

Bosco and Natalie’s relationship reminds me of Power Chan and Winnie Yeung’s relationship in Marriage of Inconvenience. The two pretend to fall in love with the other to use the other but in fact they both hated one another. After ‘using’ them, they planned to break off the relationship to hurt the other for revenge. The two act so ‘fake’ but it’s still amusing to watch. Natalie got close to Bosco in hope to get ideas off him for her comic, while Bosco mistakes her as a rich man’s daughter. Power and Winnie’s relationship in Marriage of Inconvenience was my favourite in that series because they shared cute moments and got to understand about each other during their ‘act’ and eventually fall for the other, for real. Hopefully Bosco and Natalie’s one will turn out nicely =) Their relationship was more of the light-hearted quarreling type and the more immature one compared to that of Niki and Kevin’s.

Kevin appeared to be the very cool-looking, “mysterious and dangerous” type of guy and Niki constantly told herself that she could not fall for a guy like that or she’ll be gone. However, Niki eventually fell in love with him because she couldn’t control her feelings. Kevin is always a mystery to her because he doesn’t tell her a lot of things. Niki assumed there was some sort of relationship between them because he’d ask her to help pay the bills for him etc, something a ‘girlfriend’ who would. He also took her to meet his grandmother who told her that he never brought another girl to see her before. However, he didn’t treat her like a girlfriend though: Most of the time, he’d be walking with his friends and Niki would be following behind them. He’d spend more time with his friends than with her and they never held hands or anything along those lines. Their relationship was a bit complicated. He doesn’t appear to care about her much, but at times Niki feels that he can see right through her (e.g giving her ice cream when she wanted it) leaving her curious and unsure of how he really sees her in his heart.

Only after when Kevin saw Niki with the doctor that he started to feel scared of losing her, because in a way, he took her for granted.

At the end of Episode 5, the two couples get together under the wishing tree on August 7th <3

Kevin: “I only want to spend my birthday with you…I hope that from now on, I’ll be able to spend every seventh day of August with you”

I’m anticipating that more romantic moments will happen, then turning it into a tragic love story ~ I want to be moved =)

P.s: aww…the dogJack, is the cutest thing! xD I wish I had a dog that cute and obedient ^^

The match began and Vincent was up against a very big Caucasian guy (some boxer?) o_o It was an intense battle and it looked like Vincent could have died there… There was no way he could have defeated him using his fist but luckily he was able to realise some Taichi in the end, and win *phew* =)

The group have dinner together and Vincent is really happy and thanks Melissa. He doesn’t seem to show any interest or attention to Myolie, making Myolie quite jealous. I think that’s normal for Vincent to react that way considering Myolie was the one who told him to run away instead of fighting and in a way, it showed that she didn’t believe in him. She shouldn’t have expected more 🙂 I quite like these little moments and seeing Myolie jealous lol

Selena starts (or continues?) harassing Kenneth to take her to his home to meet his mother, but Kenneth is not ready. He doesn’t want to return home without making any achievements since he left home (or is it because he still doesn’t know how to face is mother?) , so they decide to stay in the Captial and start their own business, selling dim-sims. Selena’s character is very annoying..I tried avoiding saying that in the past entries because I tried to convince myself that it was ‘normal’, but I can’t stand it anymore. She’s starting to remind me of Myolie’s character, constantly demanding things her way.

When Myolie’s father was still alive and in power, Myolie was arranged to marry some high ranked man’s son but he broke off their wedding in Episode 3. However, when the man learns that his only son is diagnosed with incurable, contagious disease, the police captain (Ai Wai) forces Myolie back into the Wedding arrangement! (as a way of getting his revenge)

Myolie runs off to find Vincent, where she sees Melissa. Melissa tries to stop her from interfering with his training just a little longer and in the midst of struggling, Myolie cuts Melissa’s hand. Vincent arrives and in fear of what had happened, Myolie runs away.

Vincent: Stop! What’s wrong with you? Why did you just come and hurt “Song Ching” (Melissa)?
Myolie: I..
Vincent: I don’t care what’s wrong with you, don’t come and disturb us. We don’t have time to play with you!
Myolie: We..?
Vincent: We what? Look I’m warning you, I’ll let you go this time, if there’s a next time, I won’t.

//I don’t think Vincent realises what Myolie was really asking when she asked “We?” ^^;

Myolie starts bursting into tears.
Myolie: You only care about “Song Ching”, what about me!? Did you ask me what was happening? Am I really just a crazy woman in your eyes??
Vincent: You..what’s wrong?
Myolie: Do you know why I’m like this? Why do I have to be so irrational? I just wanted to see you!
Vincent: But..you still shouldn’t hurt Song Ching..
Myolie: Song Ching! Song Ching! You only care about her!! Did you ever care about me!? I have to get married tomorrow!
Vincent: Getting married? That’s a good thing..congratulations 🙂

//Vincent is so….lost
Myolie: You’re congratulating me?
Vincent: Ah, I don’t know how to say things properly. I wish you two will grow old together.
Myolie: Why do you have to do this to me..? Don’t you have any feelings? I’m going to get married tomorrow, don’t you feel hurt? Don’t you feel even a bit jealous?
Vincent: Why..should I feel jealous?
Myolie: I don’t want to marry that person… The one I want to marry is you! The one I love is you! Don’t you like me even a bit? I did so many things for you before, begging other people, getting injured because of you, you don’t feel a thing?
Vincent: I never thought that you would like me… and I’ve never thought about this kind of stuff. Right now I’m just thinking about seriously training my martial arts skills.

Myolie: It doesn’t matter if you never thought about it before. Think about it now. As long as you like me even a little bit, I won’t care about anything else. Take me away!
Vincent: Away? Take you away where?
Myolie: I’ll go wherever you go.
Vincent: Why do I have to go? I still need to stay here and learn from my master.
Myolie: So in your heart, my life’s happiness is not as important as your training?
Vincent: But.. you’re getting married, that’s your business…whether I train or not is my business, how can we talk about them together? *Steps back away from her*
Myolie: There’s absolutely no possibility for us? You really can’t give me a bit of hope?
Vincent: Sorry. *Runs off*

I really liked this scene because Myolie gets rejected XD The things Vincent said were well said lol He seemed puzzled and confused and then a little scared. But wow, such confession from Myolie…will this ‘love’ turn into ‘hatred’? I did feel slightly sorry for her though. Just a bit.

After the rejection, Selena tells Myolie to run away from the Capital, to avoid the marriage.

On the other hand, Melissa is always thinking about her future and what she should do because she believes she can’t stay with Vincent and Master Kwan forever. Master Kwan and Melissa have an encounter with a Nun who tells her her story. The nun has took in a lot of orphans and Melissa agrees to leave with her and become a nun as well, to help look after the children. It didn’t actually show who proposed that idea, but I’m guessing it was the nun.. I was a bit shocked when she came to that decision..did she really have to be a nun to help look after the children??

Upon hearing the news, Vincent becomes upset and angry at her even though he didn’t say it to her directly. He was sort of acting like a kid, being mean to her and ignoring her but wouldn’t admit that he wanted her to stay. The two were sent down the mountains to buy some things but Vincent walked ahead without waiting for her and Melissa followed behind. Melissa had enough and stopped and Vincent would stop too (to wait for her?) ^^; She did it twice before she spoke out

Melissa: If you have something to say, then say it. Stop putting an attitude on.

*Melissa walks off after no response and Vincent follows behind and she abruptly stops again and turns around.

Melissa: Are you mute? If you want to tell me something, tell me. Are you unhappy that I’m leaving?
Vincent: So what if I’m happy or unhappy? It was your decision to leave, not mine.
Melissa: What do you want me to do?
Vincent: I don’t want you to do anything. You’re the one who is walking then stopping. Are you walking or not?
Melissa starts marching off again, but then stops and turns back at him.
Melissa: I’m asking you one last time. Is it that you don’t want me to leave? Tell me.
Vincent: I..

At the moment, a beggar who is being chased runs by and falls on Vincent’s arm. He notices a strange mark on Vincent’s arms and recognises him as “Mo Ma”. He appears to know Vincent’s father and was really happy to see him again, showing him a golden-plate thing which was part of some sect. However, the beggar suddenly realised that he was sorry to his father and the police arrest him for stealing a women’s money.

Vincent gets suspicious about his past and goes to find Master Kwan where he finds that he also has the same golden-plate hanging under his clothes. Vincent tells him of his encounter and starts questioning his past..

At the beginning for the episode, Melissa is helping Kenneth mend his clothes and the two share a little talk with each other. Selena overhears from outside and becomes jealous. Selena becomes disappointed when she realises that Kenneth has yet to figure out what to do about the situation. She expresses to him that she doesn’t mind sharing a husband with Melissa if it comes down to that, but she must be the first wife, considering she became his women first and because she doesn’t want her life to be like her mother and for her children to suffer like she did.

After talking to Master Kwan, Kenneth tries to suggest to Selena that it doesn’t matter who is the “big one”, or the “small one”, they are equal and that they shouldn’t compete and Selena becomes upset again by his words. A rat suddenly ran by and scares her and she grabs onto him.

” You told me not to compete , but I actually don’t know how to compete..I just want to live in a clam state, following you for the rest of my life with an official title.”

Kenneth: I know, I really understand
Selena: I’m not actually asking for anything, I just want live in security.

Selena and Kenneth end up sleeping with each other again (in broad daylight at the hotel… what the heck??) where Melissa walks in on them! Shocked and upset for seeing the scene, she runs away and Kenneth chases after her with Selena following behind. Melissa breaks down and starts crying on a bridge where Myolie sees her and attempts to “comfort” her.

Myolie: Don’t cry.
Melissa: Don’t worry about me.
Myolie: Is it about “Fung Nin” (Kenneth) and my sister’s thing?
Melissa: Even you know..everyone knows except me.
Myolie: Just let it be. Love comes when it comes, and leaves when it leaves. No one can control it.
Melissa: You don’t understand..you don’t understand..I don’t have anything left. I only have this family, and now I don’t even have this family anymore.
Myolie: Well you actually only want a family. You don’t want “Fung Nin” (Kenneth). You don’t have to marry him to be a family, brothers and sisters are also one family.

Did Myolie really feel sorry for her?

Vincent arrives at the scene (He was meeting Myolie there to give her herbs for her face) and Kenneth and Selena come from the other side of the bridge.

Vincent walks up to them and when Myolie notices him, she runs up to him and asks about giving her more herbs, but Vincent ignores her and pushes her hand away from him. Vincent is really angry for what Kenneth has done and hurt Melissa.

Kenneth: “Song Ching” (Melissa) don’t cry, I’m bad, it’s my fault. I don’t know how “Chui Kiu” (Selena) and I turned out like this.
Vincent: How did it turn out like this?
Kenneth: I..
Vincent: I don’t care what you do with other people. I just need you to say one sentence, do you want “Song Ching”? …Fung Nin!

After no response, Vincent pushes him onto the floor.

Vincent: How can you do this to “Song Ching”! She’s been a horse/cow for your family all these years. She’s been so nice to you, and you do this to her!?
Kenneth: I know that I’m sorry to her, but I don’t know how it turned out like this.
Vincent: She came thousands of miles here to find you , and you..say you don’t want her?
Kenneth: I didn’t say I don’t want her.
Vincent: Then tell me, what do you want plan to do?
Kenneth:..I….I….
Vincent: I what? I haven’t beaten you enough?
Kenneth: I know I’m wrong, it’s my fault. I’m sorry to Song Ching, if you want to hit me then hit me. Song Ching, if you feel that by hitting me you’ll feel better, then you can hit me too.
Vincent: Nonsense! What’s the point hitting you? I want an answer- Song Ching and her? Who do you choose?
Kenneth: I didn’t say I didn’t want Song Ching..

Myolie interrupts and tries to pull Vincent away “Those are family matters, we’re outsiders, we shouldn’t be saying anything, we should just let them be-”

Vincent: No!(Vincent pushes Myolie away). If he doesn’t choose Song Ching today, I won’t go.
Kenneth: I won’t ‘not want’ Song Ching.
Vincent: You said it. If you do anything else to hurt her, I won’t let you get off it.
Vincent turns and walks off and Myolie chases after him

Myolie: You care so much about other people’s matters, what about mine?
Vincent: What?
Myolie: My medicine..
Vincent: Oh.. sorry, I was too busy yelling at “Fung Nin” (Kenneth) that I forgot. (Vincent passes the bag of herbs to her)
Myolie: What’s the point yelling at “Fung Nin” for? There’s no right and wrong when it comes to love. You’re not the person so you wouldn’t understand.
Vincent: I don’t know things about love, but I know as a man, you need to take on responsibility. If there’s revenge, you must take revenge. If someone helped you, then you must return that favour.
Myolie: Then why are you helping me deliver the medicine? Is it because we have gratitude or hatred? Do I owe you, or do you owe me?

Vincent: I told you before. I didn’t kill “Wong Sun” because of you. We don’t owe each other anything.
Myolie: Then what about my face?
Vincent: That’s because you got hurt because you wanted to save me, so I should treat it.
Myolie: And then..?

Vincent moves his face closer to hers to look at the cut and Myolie becomes shy. (I think she thought that he was going to kiss her?)

Vincent: Hm..the cut is almost healed, after this dosage of herbs it shouldn’t leave a scar. You don’t have to worry.
Vincent walks off.

Kenneth, Melissa and Selena are sitting on a table in silence, when Melissa starts pouring tea in two cups. She decides to step out of the triangle and let the two be together. Having time to settle down and think about it, Melissa realises that Kenneth doesn’t owe her anything. The wedding was arranged by Kenneth’s mother but she hasn’t actually asked if he was willing or wanted to marry her, and in return, Melissa felt she should marry him to repay their family for taking her in. She may not be about to repay the family, but at least she can let Kenneth choose who he wants to be with..

Melissa decides to leaves them~ (what I found annoying was how Kenneth actually asked Melissa to help him explain to his mother -_-) and decides to bid farewell to Vincent. She thanks him to standing up for her back then and Master Kwan offers her to stay for dinner before she leaves. Melissa cooks the meal and the two enjoy the food a lot. Since Melissa had no where to go, they asked her to stay with them and “help cook every meal” ^^ Yay! Melissa has a new “home” and Melissa gratefully agrees 🙂

Master Kwan continues to train Vincent. Last time he got him to chop up wood and wash the clothes. This time he is asked to catch Tofu or hold onto it without breaking it. Taichi sure is interesting hehe..

The opponent’s leader on the non-asian side are allied with 2 of the Chinese officers (one played by Ai Wai and the other being the man Myolie initially begged). I knew these two would be traitors... The English man tells the two that he must win the competition and asks them to help find out what level Vincent is at and how powerful he is. They deliberately send men to test Master Kwan’s ability and learned that they were not even able to touch him. In fear that Vincent will win the competition, they sent men for a sneak attack on Vincent, injuring his hands so that he cannot compete! His hands would not be able to punch within this month, yet the competition was faster approaching. If he loses in the competition, Vincent would have to die..

When Myolie learns of what had happened, she runs to find Vincent and sees him punching the tree. She tries to stop him from hurting himself and tries to convince him to run away and not compete.

Myolie: Stop!!
Vincent: I won’t lose!! I won’t let them get what they want!
Myolie: What’s the big deal about winning or losing? Your life is the most important thing! They did those things, it shows that they’re not playing by the rules. Even if you make it on the stage, it won’t be a fair game. They want you to die! They want you to die whether you win or lose, then what’s the point in fighting? They’re the ones who didn’t follow the rules first, why do we still have to play along with them? Why don’t we just run away and not fight?
Vincent: You want me to run away? That means I admit defeat!
Myolie: From the start, it’s already impossible to win. They’re just changing the method of executing you, treating you like a monkey and watching how you will die. Why do you still have to stay to satisfy them?

//Do any of you actually agree with Myolie?

Vincent is persuaded by Myolie and decides to leave the city. However, Melissa manages to convince Vincent to stay and not to give up.

Melissa: Mo Ma (Vincent), you’ve been able to survive this long until this day, what were you relying on? It was because you wouldn’t admit defeat. It’s this breath. It’s this breath that made you withstand until today. You lived at the mountains yourself this long, what day didn’t you think the possibility of losing or dying? You’ve made it until today, why give up now? If you leave now, not only do you lose in the match, you lose yourself and you’ll always have to live a life of hiding and running away and can’t lift your head up as a person.

The day of the match arrives..

The Master of Taichi SubThemsong Lyrics

*Download :

I was going to attempt translating the lyrics to Sub Themsong of The Master of Taichi when I first heard it was sung by Raymond Lam. Looking at the lyrics now though, I don’t think I can lol The words look a bit complicated for me^^; I really should brush up my Chinese haha.. I really want to know what the song is about though- the song sounds quite nice and seems to suit the whole series feel a lot. If someone has better Chinese and can translate the song, please post it here =) Thanks!

Melissa and Kenneth reunite on the streets after Vincent gets captured. The four of them (Melissa, Kenneth, Myolie and Selena) try to find a way to save Vincent and Myolie goes to find the vice-head in hope he can set Vincent free. Myolie mentioned that her father had saved his life before, however, the man does not return the favor and insist that her father has lost in war so he no longer wants anything to do with them. Selena also reminds him that his son was previously “arranged” to marry Myolie, but he is not interested anymore. The police captain (one who captured Vincent), played by Ai Wai saw Myolie and offered to free Vincent if she agreed to sleep with him! Myolie becomes furious upon hearing his remarks and Selena leaves with her.

Kenneth and Myolie both attempt to visit Vincent in prison and bring him food. After Myolie bribed the guard with money, the guard only let one of them see him and Myolie insist she should go and that if Kenneth wanted to see him, he should pay himself.

Myolie: I’m sorry, I got you into this.
Vincent: I killed the person, it’s got nothing to do with you.
Myolie: Don’t worry, I’ll find a way to save you. Eat something first.
Vincent: I’m going to be executed tomorrow, what’s the point in eating?
Myolie: Tomorrow??

Vincent notices the food in the bowl Myolie was holding. It was the same one Melissa had gave him in episode one.

Vincent: ‘Song Ching’ (Melissa) made it?
Myolie: How did you know?

Vincent takes the bowl from her and remembers the things Melissa had said to him back then. He smiles.

Vincent: Being executed is tomorrow’s matters. There’s rice to eat today, so I must eat it. *Vincent starts eating away with his hands*

//Was Myolie slightly jealous?
Myolie starts having flashback memories of when Vincent had saved her and how he helped her avenge her parents. Her eyes become very teary.

Vincent: Why are you crying?
Myolie: Tomorrow you’ll be.. *covers her mouth*
Vincent: I told you already, I killed ‘Wong Sun’ wasn’t because of you. Don’t disturb me from eating my meal, go away.
Myolie angrily throws the chopsticks and marches off.

There is a Fighting Contest being held between the China and another place (not sure what country) in a few weeks time. The head hopes that Paul will help represent them and fight. It was an important match because it was to do with the reputation of the Country. However, Paul believes there is someone else who is more worthy and suitable and nominates Master Kwan (who is Vincent’s master). The two had recently had an encounter, had some tea together, some talk and a match (which happened all in their minds lol) where Master Kwan had won with his TaiChi skills. He was a renowned powerful Martial Artist with specialty in Taichi. Previously people did not know where he could be found but recently he was in the Captial somewhere…

The day of Vincent’s execution came. Luckily, Kenneth and Melissa end up finding Vincent’s master (Master Kwan) to help save Vincent. (I assume they knew him when they lived in the Countryside?) Vincent’s master went to talk to the “head” who had been searching for him. Immediately, he frees Vincent and Vincent’s master decides to return the favour by agreeing to help compete. However, he wished to nominate his student (Vincent) to fight in place of him, to give him a chance to redeem himself. He believed in Vincent and that he was capable of winning and the head places his trust in his hands.

On the other hand, Myolie did not know Vincent was already freed and in desperation of saving Vincent’s life, Myolie goes to find Ai Wai again and agrees to give into his “deal” of giving up her body in exchange for Vincent’s life. Of course, Myolie ends up struggling and slaps him across his face and he pushes her onto the table where her face gets cut..

//I think at the point, Myolie had already fallen madly in love with Vincent, to go into the extreme of saving him.

When Myolie finds out that Vincent was freed she was really happy, but when she realised it was because Kenneth and Melissa had found his master, she became really angry at how stupid she was. Everything she had done was useless and pointless. In the end, Vincent was ok, but he’s got anothing to do with her (is not related to her). We also learn that Myolie didn’t give in to Ai Wai after he cut her face.

Selena comforts Myolie and Myolie finally acknowledges her as her elder sister.

When Vincent sees his master again (after many many years of separation), he becomes emotional and hated him for leaving him when he was young and “needed” him. He starts thumping and hitting him and eventually faints…It was interesting how they filmed that part. Instead of showing him, they showed what was really reflected in his heart- the child in him (played by Jacky Wong), the same one when he was younger. It would have been nice to see some of those emotions coming out of Vincent instead though ^^; His master tried to explain to him that he left him was for his own good back then (but doesn’t actually say what it was). Nevertheless, somehow I felt Vincent had forgiven him to some extent and his master tells him about the competition he must participate in. Hence, his master was teaching/training him in his Taichi in the mountains.

Selena and Myolie decided to visit Vincent with a basket of apples to thank him for all that he’s done for them. Myolie hesitated because she didn’t want Vincent to see the cut on her face. Selena encourages Myolie to let Vincent know all that she has done for him, because Selena knows Myolie is in love with him.

However, Vincent, who was training, did not see them making the two very angry and upset, especially Myolie. Selena stood up for Myolie, telling Vincent all the things Myolie has done for him, and how her face could possibly be scarred for life. After Vincent learns of this, he starts to feel bad and later gives her a bag of herbs for her face..
