In hope that Krystal would back off, Tracy holds a 5th year anniversary party for her and Power (Anson) She gets Krystal to shop with her and helping out in organising the party. During the party, the Insurance company work mates get Krystal to go on stage to sing a song for them (since they say he’s a good singer)Later, they also drag Power up on stage to sing with her, making Tracy even more angry and upset!

Back at the house, Tracy slaps Krystal across the face, confronting her that she knows the truth, telling her to back off.

The next day, Krystal takes a sick day leave and Power goes to find Krystal again that night. As Power leaves Krystal’s house, Tracy watches the two from a distance.

Krystal: You saw everything.
Tracy: Anson is my husband, we have a marriage certificate, we are legally husband and wife! Don’t bother him again!
Krystal: I think the word ‘bothering’ isn’t that appropriate. I didn’t call him to come today, he came himself. Also, the day of the plane accident, the first thing he did when he got off the plane was to find me. Do you know what he said to me? At life and death situation, the one who he misses the most is me. So strictly speaking, your husband is the one who shouldn’t bother me, not the other way around.
Tracy: You’ve done it too much. There are so many men you don’t go after, you have to go after my husband!?
Krystal: I’ve always been very open minded when it comes to relationships. I’ve never thought about fighting over it with you because I can’t win. It’s because you are his wife. But I should really thank you for slapping me yesterday. It woke me up. Why should I have to put myself down? The one he loves is me. Why should I let go?
Tracy: He wouldn’t love you, he only loves me!
Krystal: We’re both women, who does he loves? You know clearly in your heart. You gave him a million dollar worth watch, so what? You think you can keep him? I was only feeling a little unwell, he came to find me right away.
Tracy: He won’t like you! He will never like you!
Krystal: If you’re so sure, when you saw us before why didn’t you come out as ask him for the truth? It’s because you’re scared. You’re scared that once you ask Anson, he’ll choose me and not you.
Tracy: Don’t say anymore, don’t say anymore..! *Tracy wants to slap Krystal but Krystal holds onto her wrist*
Krystal: Being a women you should know  if you don’t want to lose your husband, the best way is to endure/tolerate it.

From that moment on, there is a ‘war’ going on between Krystal and Tracy. The two women know that the each of them know but Power doesn’t.

In another scene, Krystal watches Tracy and Power from afar. Power tells Tracy about his plans about setting up a old people/retirement village and if the project succeeds, Tracy’s father would let him join his company. Soon, Tracy and Power could work together.

Who will win in the end? This is getting excitig ^^

On the other hand, while Michael was on his job with his team in protecting a dog, Anita buys Michael a boxing set equipment to play with in case he was bored. Later, Michael gets jealous when his cop friend (played by Ai Wai) is interested in Anita. Ai Wai claims that Anita and himself are in love and this really bothers Michael. When Michael saw that the boxing equipment that Anita bought him was broken by Mandy (on accident), he becomes really angry and tells her off.

Michael: Ji Yiu (Anita) gave it to me! How can you break it!?
Mandy: It’s already broken , I was scared you’ll yell at me!
Michael: If you’re afraid I’ll yell at you, you shouldn’t touch my things! I don’t get you! How could a girl be so aggressive? can’t you be more gentle!?
Mandy: Before if i did anything wrong, you wouldn’t yell me me like this. Now because of something someone gave you, you’re yelling at me!

Later a man breaks into the house and attempts to get the dog but gets arrested. However the dog escapes when the door was left open and Michael and Anita go out to find it. After they find the dog, the dog walks around them, tying their legs together and almost trips the two over. Anita’s mother in-law sees the two holding each other/supporting each other and is not happy. Later at home, Anita’s mother in-law tells Anita not fall in love with him because their relationship is too complex.

At the end of the episode, Michael’s sister in-law finds a book that belonged to Angela, and Michael remembers Angela once reading the book and was moved to tears. The story was about a girl who was stuck in deciding between her husband and another man but in the end she realized the one she truly loved was her husband. At the back of the book, a message was left behind by Angela, dated a few days before her death saying how much she values her husband.

On the other hand, when  Anita was looking at the wedding photo taken with Dick, a CD falls out behind the frame! It turns out that it contained the original video clip (uncut version) of the file he sent to her in the USB in episode 1. Dick’s apology was indeed not about having an affair, but the fact that he has engaged in illegal dealings to earn quick money (changing over ‘black’ money into ‘normal’ money)! He has decided to stop but he fears the people won’t let him off the hook that easily…

Michael and Anita suspects that perhaps, the two were really not having an affair, but were in fact murdered!! Now this is shocking!

This is episode focuses on Tavia who decides to move out of the house mainly because of SaYi, and the fact that she is only a adopted daughter and doesn’t truly belong in the family. The fact her grandpa implied that she wasn’t really part of the family really hurt her and felt she was old enough to live independently. I was skeptical about her moving out in the first place, but I was relieved when she said she was enjoying her freedom and was still able to have enough money to live-day-to-day.

However, things were starting to really worry me when she didn’t contact anyone except to Fala, including Raymond who tried so hard to met up her with. Raymond and HoMa were really worried about Tavia but she kept avoiding them, and not coming home at all. Tavia has plans to get married with her boyfriend (played by Eric Lee) who was not committed at all. We later learned that Tavia dated him in High School before and it was because of him that she performed poorly in her University entry exam. They broke off but came back together. Soon, Tavia was experiencing financial difficulties as she used a lot of her savings by lending it to her boyfriend and borrowed money from the financial institutions for her boyfriend’s business which he didn’t end up paying them back when it was due. In hope to relief herself from the siutation, Tavia does to find Moses in hope he will help her invest some of her money into stocks, but the prices of the stock he investeddropped in value and ended in a loss.

The creditors kept calling Tavia at work, causing her to lose her job! Later, Tavia’s boyfriend breaks up with her, leaving her with ‘nothing’. When her family members found out, they all tried to search for her but she kept running away because she was so ashamed she couldn’t face them anymore. The scene that was so touching was when Tavia was in the telephone booth listening to all the messages her family members left for her. It was soooo emotional it left me with tears!

I’m so glad that Tavia has returned home..and that SaYi got yelled at by HoMa =)especially about the whole ‘Privacy’ thing. I liked Grandpa’s comment about being scared she’ll take his remainding $80 too XD

There was also another small scene that I thought was particularly touching as well. HoMa was disappointed that Ah Ka (Moses) seemed to care very little about his brothers and sisters and has a talk with him, asking if he remembers what he promised her 10 years ago. It is somehow understandable that he was very young back then and given such a huge responsibility with a broken up family, it as hard for one boy to stay focussed. He was also ‘alone’ at his ‘new’ home. There was also a big age gap between him and his youngest brother.

During a flashback, we learn that HoMa took little Ah Ka to have lunch one day and actually asked him to lie to the court people, saying he wants to go with the father after the divorce! She tried explaining to him that it was because he was the oldest and most responsible/understaning one and loves the siblings the most. She hopes he can look after his other siblings when the family is split.

HoMa:  Ah Ka, it’s also heartbreaking for me doing this. I don’t want to lose you, but things have turned into this I can’t do much about it. Who told you to be the eldest? It’ll be like your favourite cop movies, you’ll be an undercover cop.

AhKa: Then you must look after my file…don’t slowly disregard me as your son!

That last phrase by Ah Ka was so moving.

Raymond promised to buy his sisters’ a set of clothes for her job interview.

There were two particular scenes in this episode which really left an impact on me~I loved the scene where Fala went to her job interview with Raymond and the things he translated for her. The story/things she said was so touching that my eyes were all wet from watching it~ it was so emotional.

Raymond (translating Fala’s sign language): I like watching movies…no? Actually I don’t have any particular interest.
Fala (body language): Brother,I can’t say it, I want to go.
Raymond: Sorry (to interviewers) sis, don’t be so nervous, just say whatever you can think of. There must be something that you like. Sorry about that (to interviewers), stay clam and relax.
Fala looks at Raymond.

Raymond (continues to translate): Actually, I like to smile the most. I really want to smile/laugh like normal people do. I remember when I was young, I was afraid to smile, even though I heard something really funny, I would try to hold back from smiling/laughing, because I feel that everyone can laugh, but when I smile/laugh, there is no sound. I feel so ashamed, it’s the same even when I cry. I remember when I was in 2nd grade, there was a test. I studied really hard for it, but the result was only 52%..just a pass.

I was really upset but I was afraid to cry. My brother encouraged me that if I’m really unhappy, then just cry. But then a teacher came by, saw me crying so miserably, she thought my brother was picking on me. I tried to explain to her but she couldn’t understand my sign language. As a result, she punished him to stand, and also to write 100 lines ‘I won’t pick on my sister again‘. Actually my brother loves me a lot. I feel that I’m really lucky. Even though I am mute, I have a mother and a brother who loves me a lot. What more can I wish for? To be like other normal people and go university? To come out and work? I actually don’t really like making biscuits/moon cakes, my brother is the one who really likes making biscuits. I really want to come out and work. No one knows that, only my brother does. Whatever I am thinking in my heart, my brother knows. *Wipes away her tears* I really want this job. Can you please give me one chance? I will work really hard and put a lot of effort to it.

I’m rooting for you Ah Hing! (Fala) =) Don’t give up! I was really happy that she got the job! And I’m loving Raymond’s character more and the bond he shares with his siblings! so sweet =3 The scene where she was trying to deliver a document for work but ended up getting stuck in traffic, and then lost got me very nervous too! I’m so glad everything turned out for her =)

The other part which I felt so angered by was the final argument scene with Tavia and Susanna. I hate ‘Sa Yi’! It’s like she has nothing better to do than pick a fight. I can fully understand Tavia, and I feel so bad for her getting accused like that! ‘SaYi’ is such a liar!! >< I felt really sorry for Tavia because she cared about the family a lot. She knew the money saved was Ho Ma’s hard-earned sweat and blood money and ‘SaYi’ wasted it just like that…However, HoMa scolds at her and asks her to give an apology, while Grandpa actually said ‘Don’t interfere with my family matters! The money is mine and Sa Yi can do anything she wants with it. Please, don’t cause trouble in the family!” She must have been hurt so much! It’s like they didn’t treat her as part of a family (being the adopted daughter) and Ho Ma didn’t say anything to defend her ='( so sad..

The three other children are introduced, played by Moses Chan, Vincent Wan and Chris Lai Lok Yi. The scene where they first appeared was somewhat amusing where we have Raymond trying to talk to the the three of them and each of them appear to be in their own world. Moses reminds me so much of his Dak Dak Dei character in HOG. He’s a bit geeky, funny and gets along with the older aunties at the Cake shop (like to his customers at the Abalone store in HOG). He’s really into investing in stock/shares and the way he wears a white coat reminds me of a mad scientist hehe..

Vincent seems to be the quiet, shy, introvert type of person who is having some issues of his own. Chris seems to be the one who cares the least about the family and spends time trying to please his girlfriend and dating. When Raymond was talking to them about the family dinner on the 15th-Mid Autumn Festival, he asked Raymond ‘Can I not go? It’s my girlfriend’s 1/2 month anniversary together, she’s break up with me if I don’t spend it with her‘ o_o… what..a bad boy. It’s sorta expected though, since they were brought up by Ha Yu and Michelle..

I really felt sorry for Lee See Kei’s father. He was so happy when he was told that he could finally have a family dinner with his grandchildren on Mid Autumn Festival night. However, his hopes kept going up and down.. happy..and then disappointed..happy…disappointed, it must feel really bad! I felt exactly how he did, ‘Mid Autumn festival is supposed to be a family dinner, it’s tradition..why does it have to be so difficult?’ That was his biggest wish and was happily willing to give up his Cake Store name to exchange for that one dinner. Michelle’s side don’t keep their words!

Like ‘Ho Ma’, I can forgive Wayne’s character and accept him because he seems to be genuine in his apology. I did feel sorry for him even though it was his fault for leaving ‘Ho Ma’s Cake Shop for ‘Hong Yi’s one in the first place. I guess the importance is acknowledging the mistake he has made, to remain loyal and to see Michelle’s true face.

This episode was really exciting! 😀 I enjoyed watching the battle with words between ‘Hong Yi’ and ‘Ho Ma’. Wow is what I can say lol especially in the final scene with the dinner.

It was really exciting and dramatic when Grandma and Hong Yi arrived at the restaurant! Ho Ma was always blamed for causing the death of Jo-ba’s younger brother but Wayne finally steps out and reveals the truth! I’m very proud of his character and feel very relieved for Ho Ma for not having to feel guilty anymore =) Go Wayne!

I was relieved to see that Moses is always on Lee See Kei’s side and not Michelle’s . The other two brothers do speak up at the end, saying they want to finish their dinner with their grandpa as well =)

I really like the series so far 😀 It’s got the whole Heart of Greed family conflict and feel to it 😀 I can’t wait to watch more!

[Love Exchange] Episode 11-14

I ended up watching this batch of episodes in one go!

Micheal decides that he won’t reveal the truth and leave it as it is because he doesn’t want to affect Anita and her family. However he goes into a depression, going to boxing but he won’t fight back. Luckily with the help of Anita and Power, they were able to bring him back to start his new life, putting the past behind him. The secret/truth does however eventually gets leaked out and Michael’s sister-in law and Anita’s family find out about Dick murdering Angela. Now that the truth is revealed, how will this affect Michael and Anita’s relationship?

Michael and Anita

In episode 12, Anita introduces to Michael one of her clients who needs personal security. Later Anita discovers that her client has actually lodged a false claim for his “injured” leg which in fact has already recovered and has some romantic connection with the ‘doctor’ (women). .Anita is determined to find evidence to report him in and get back the Insurance payment! She asks Michael to help her gather evidence since he was with him (as his bodyguard), but Michael tells her its not part of his job and he’s not supposed to.

Michael helps her give her a massage when she strains her neck.

When Anita’s brother in-law and Michael’ sister in-law comes up and the two immediately separate from each other, clarifying and emphasising there’s nothing going on between them XD I mean..who said they were anyway? XD

Later in the episode, Anita puts a camera in the doctor’s room and does a recording! Later she returns to retrieve it but the doctor sees it and chases after Anita! Luckily Michael was there to save her and pulls her aside. When the women pushes open the door, Michael helps Anita by pretending they were kissing each other to distract the women, omg, sooo sweet! XD

Michael: Do you need to call the cops?
Anita: We’re grown ups..we don’t need to report this kind of stuff… (thinking Michael was referring to what he did to her)
Michael: I’m talking about the man’s fake insurance claim.
Anita: oh..*nods* yea, yea we need to report him..

Such a cute scene!! You can tell the two felt something towards each other but trying to brush that feeling/idea away and act ‘normal’.

There were some awkward scenes between the two afterwards when they exchanged glances. On one job when Michael had to protect a grave, and Insurance was bought on it, Anita and Micheal stayed overnight together to look after the grave and to protect the assets which were in it with the corpse. While the two were sitting together, Michael was telling Anita about a girl that he liked back when they went camping when he was young. He took her out one night and just like the current moment, it was cold and so he gave his jacket to her. Michael said that they slowly moved closer to each other and he eventually hugged her. Anita was really excited about the story and grabbed onto Michael’s arm “Did you kiss her?” At that moment, Anita and Michael’s faces were so close to each other XD As much as I had hoped, the two did not end up kissing each other and Anita broken the silence lol ^^;

The two also went boxing together and afterwards they went to a bar for some snacks and drinks where they shared and exchanged drinks and food. Mandy Cho was watching at a distance with Jimmy Au getting extremely jealous XD

All things seem to be going well for Anita now.~ she has been getting really good results at work and she was awarded for her great efforts in catching fake insurance claim. Later she also gets promoted to the same level of Krystal =)

Power and Krystal

In a scene where Power is at Krystal’s house, Power gives her his credit card when she commented on some expensive bags and shoes but she refuses to take it. She’s happy spending her own money, and she won’t buy really expensive bags and shoes because she can’t depend on them for life and would rather save money to give her a sense of security.

Power: You have so little trust me in? I said I’ll take care of you- today I will, forever after I will.
Krystal: The future is hard to say. The thing you just said, isn’t the first time someone has told me.
Power: I really want to know who that person is, that is able to make you love so deeply, and hurt you so deeply.
Krystal: *amused* You’re not jealous are you?
Power: To me he doesn’t exist, I’m just heartbroken for you. Promise me to forget all the sad things in the past. I want you to be happy every single day, it’s true.

I can no longer hate this couple, even though they are having an affair. They seem to truly love each other and you just cant hate them anymore. Their exchanges are quite interesting to watch and they seem so compatible in personality and background-wise. It feels like its the dilemma of Power getting married to the wrong women, and not wanting to hurt her. I sort of hope things just stay how it is and Tracy never finds out ..butI doubt it it would..

Because of a button on Power’s shirt, Tracy suspects that her husband is seeing another women. Her father (Lau Kong) goes to investigate on him and they mistaken Anita as the women he was seeing, spilling red ink on her, telling her ‘that was what she got for messing with someone else’s husband’. Angered and shocked by what had happened, Anita couldn’t stand it any longer and angrily blurted out to Power and Krystal that she knew they were having an affair all along and it was because of them she was attacked! Someone else has realised the two were having an affair!

After this incident, Krystal decided to break up with Power because she didn’t want Power’s family finding out or for him to risk it. She also didn’t want to force Power to make up for her, because that type of pressure wasn’t the type of relationship they were both after. Power reluctantly agrees not to see her other than at work.

While Krystal and Anita were having lunch together:
Anita: When I talk about you two now I’m so much more relaxed.
Krystal: I was sitting here just now, worried that you wouldn’t turn up. I’m so useless, I always said I don’t need friends but then I’m worried you wouldn’t come, I’m such a failure.
Anita: I really did think about not coming, but after some thought, if I lost a good friend just like that it’s not worth it.

Krystal tried giving herself chances, and to break it off him once and for all. Anita even tried helping her by introducing Ai Wai to her (of course that didn’t turn out XD) . On Krystal’s birthday, her colleagues celebrated with her with a birthday cake and ‘someone’ sent her a bunch of ‘forget me not’ flowers…

Later that night on the streets, Krystal received an sms birthday message from Power and she was really happy. However, she turns around and looks up in a building where she sees Power and Tracy having dinner together…

In one incident when Power went overseas for a business trip, a plane accident happens on the flight of his return and thinking he got onto that plan, Krystal was really worried and scared that she would lose him. She went everywhere in hope to find out news about the plane accident and when Power got back safely(having changed his flight) the first thing he did was go to find her~ The two confessed their feelings for one another, saying she knew clearly in her heart she cannot live without him and he is the one she loves most. She also regretted leaving him and doesn’t want to make any more regrets in her life. Similar, Power confessed that when he thought about what would happen if he got on that flight, she was the only person on his mind and he knew she was the most important person to him! Like that, the two got back together..

As the two hugged each other other on the streets, Tracey was the her car and she saw the two as she drove pass!!

I have 2 favourite scenes in this episode:

One was where the three children- Raymond, Tavia and Fala were communicating with each other through sign language talking about Susanna so  she couldn’t understand them. At first Susanna saw them all giggling so was amused and asked them what they were talking about, but she started to get so annoyed when they continued on with and it and ignored her XD

We find out in this episode that Susanna actually came back because her husband left her and she has no where to go.  She also mentions having a daughter, I wonder who that would be…Kate?

The other scene I liked was how Susanna got ‘locked in’ the bathroom and they deliberately left her there because she wouldn’t stop shouting XD Later HaYu pays a visit and demands that Lee See Kei change her store name to something else (currently his large Mooncake business and her little store share the same name “Ga Ho Yoot Yuen”)~ and we still have Susanna yelling in the background (lol)- The others were saying that she was just rehearsing for some play in the bathroom! XD  Susanna is in rage for how HaYu is treating her sister (or how ‘riped off’ her sister is). Angered by his father’s attitude and ‘lies’, Raymond releases Susanna out of the bathroom haha! It was like setting a wild animal free to get at HaYu ~ and Raymond looked so cheeky! Go Susanna..haha..grabbing a mop and kicking him out of their house XD

Previously Raymond was able to persuade his Grandma (HaYu’s mother played by Lee Heung Kam) to let his brothers (ones that have followed HaYu) to spend Mid Autumn festival with them. However, at the end of the episode,  she changes her mind..I wonder how come..?

It’s finally here! A refreshing new banner for K for TVB! I hope you guys all like it because I do XD All of these scenes are from the opening themevideo of Moonlight Resonance. I wanted to make and use other screencaptures as well but it’s still too early on in the series and I don’t know how’ into’ the story it will be before some great screencapturing moments will arrive ^^

Comments: Yay! It’s finally here! It has been a long time since I first heard about the series but its release has been delayed again and again. I’m really excited to watch this series because it looks like it’ll be fun. I haven’t seen a costume/ancient/fantasy series in a long time (I like this type of genre) and it’s been awhile since a Benny Chan series too ^^ I think it’s a little strange TVB is cutting the series up into shorter episodes each, making it a total of 40 episodes. It’s sounding like a sitcom when I think of such small short episodes! Nevertheless, I will be anticipating its release!
