At first I thought AhSa was doing some good things for once. She firstly helps Wayne get a really well-paid job & working conditions in Australia where he could reunite with his sister (I had doubts at first); then next convincing Grandma to ‘let go’ and stop hating HorMa,  helping patch up the relationships with the families- I was so wrong -_- Ah Sa was only doing it for money and ends up sucking up to Grandma, lying & exaggerating to her about their risk of the oven exploding and hurting the children; the cost of new ovens etc in hope to scam her money! When Wayne spoke truthfully about the prices etc, AhSa was boiling mad at him for being a ‘selfish’ person who ruined her opportunity. She regretted helping him; and thus threatened to call her friend and take her words back of referring him; shattering his dreams of working in Australia =( Poor Wayne ><!! AhSa blackmailed him and as a result, Wayne started apologising to her and begged her to give him one more chance..

HorMa went into hospital to do an operation on her back. While she was away from the household, Susana causes more trouble; being the b**** as always, grasping every opportunity to hurt people’s self-esteem and this time, Chung-Jai gets his share, saying how useless he is being illiterate in both Chinese and English.

Luckily he has very supportive brothers and sisters to cheer him up and help bring up his self-esteem 🙂 *Their sibling love is so sweet*

 The rapping scene was really cute XD They even bought him a canoe so he could practice for the upcoming race! Chung-Jai end up getting first place!!! 😀 yay!! ^^ *Feels proud of his achievement*  HorMa was also watching his race through her video phone =)

On the other hand, Susanna wanted to gain Grandma’s trust and ‘friendhsip’ that  ended up betraying HorMa by telling Grandma that HoMa had ‘captured’ Chung-Jai at her place and hiding him from the rest of them! Wayne was there but he couldn’t say anything, but keep quiet about it. Grandma, Ah Hong etc go to HorMa’s place and take Chung-jai away~ and Susanna blames it on JoBao who ‘must have told Grandma about it’ . Wayne couldn’t stand it anymore , confronting SaYi and finally speaks out the truth!!! 😀

I really like Wayne’s character =) He isn’t selfish..and willing to speak out the truths despite compromising his career and reuniting with his sister in Australia. I didn’t expect him to speak out so soon. It goes to show more reasons that HoMa didn’t make the wrong choice in hiring him back after he betray them at the start =)

For me, other than Gallen Lo, the animals are the highlights of the series! They’re really cute (except for the big dogs like Lyhome and his family of dogs lol in my opinion anyway haha) Which Pet is your favourite? I can’t really decide between Siu Ba, Cancan and Bailey lol Cancan and Bailey has the cute looks but SiuBa will always remain the most loyal.

Some screenies to intro the series =) Yes! All three main characters are introduced in the first episode with Linda being the happy-go-lucky one, Benny being the mighty strong (and somewhat aggressive and kinda arrogant) and Sunny being the cute one who gets tired very easily and falls sleep almost anywhere XD lol that’s hilarious..and he simply dunks himself in the water with his clothes on, claiming he is taking a bath and washing his clothes at the same time XD

Some other demigods are introduced in the story, including Linda’s ‘mother’ but she keeps this a secret from her. When Linda and her ‘ugly’ best friend adventure on, in hope to find a “Sun Sin” to change her friend’s ugly appearance, they get lost in the forest by dark and encounter a mysterious figure in a hood. The figure leads them to some ‘spiritual’ land where a “Sun Sin” offers to turn her beautiful; but in return, losing something precious to her like health, or family, friendship etc. Linda started getting suspicious about the ‘Sun Sin’ but her friend was so desperate for beauty that she was willing to give up her friendship with Linda. Her wish was granted and the spell was put on Linda, turning her ugly. Indeed everything was just an illusion and the “Sun Sin” was actually a “Yiu Jing”. Luckily with the help of the DemiGod, Linda was able to help defeat her! They helped change her face back to normal and put a bug into her body so she would lose her memories of what had happened. But chance, Linda latter regains her memories, but her friend has already changed…

At the end of the episode when Linda went to save Sunny in the lake, she gets pulled down by some figure and drowns! When Benny gets her out of the water, Linda has already stopped breathing!

The computer graphics are quite cheesy ^^; but I’m going to try enjoy it and not take it very seriously. I don’t have high expectations for it and somehow it feel like it’s a series for kids haha…I might not be making constant posts on this series but I guess it just all depends. We’ll see.

Lau Kong (Power’s father in-law) gets into a coma, and Power convinces Tracy to let him manage his group of companies. At the hospital, Lau Kong’s assistant tells Tracy that the day before the accident, Lau Kong found out Power was cheating on her and implies it may have something to do with the accident. Power overhears the conversation to realise Tracey already knew about the affair, and doesn’t mind as long as he ‘knows his way back home’. She trusts Power and still loves him a lot. Upon hearing this, Power uses Tracy even more! Argh…annoys me so much that he’s so confident Tracy will tolerate him and continue to support him, so he openly goes to find Krystal..now he’ is free to do anything without worrying his wife will have a divorce with him!! argh!! She’s so dependent on him >_<

Michael overhears Ai Wai attempting to ask Anita out to go Macau or have a trip with him for his birthday and she hesitates, saying they’re not even that close. Michael helps her out of the situation and only then, did Anita realised AiWai likes her XD

She asks Michael for help and he encourages him to confess his love to Anita during his birthday party to force Anita to reject him in front of everyone. So slack xD The poor guy honestly believed Anita loved him back.

With the help of Anita, Krystal forgives her mother, spending the last 3 months happily with her =)

Power went to beg for Krystal’s forgiveness, saying he doesn’t want to break up with her etc and Krystal falls for it again…this time however, he uses her against Tracy >_< Back at the company, the other shareholders do not accept Power so he deliberately makes Tracy desperate to keep her husband by letting Tracy see him having lunch with Krystal and her mother. He then puts on an act, saying he doesn’t feel like a part of the family and is thinking about a divorce.  Tracy returns to the company and backs up Power….

Once Power takes control of the company, he sacks Lau Kong’s assistant and Power goes to find him at the car park, ‘thanking him’ for taking the photos. The assistant reveals that he didn’t take those photos, but someone sent it to him in express mail!

Power realises that Krystal was the one who had betrayed him!! He confronts Krystal and officially breaks off his relationship with her. With the power he has now, he doesn’t need Krystal anymore and reveals that its all just a game. He also tells her how he used her to get back at Tracy as well ><  Poor Krystal!!…argh..I feel it for her!!

The next scene, Krystal goes into Anita’s office who finds her draw stuck and it won’t close. Krystal suggests to her to take it out because most likely something is stuck at the bottom. There turns out to be a USB and Krystal said it was could be Dick’s since Anita was using Dick’s old office! I have a major feeling Krystal put it there…a revenge on Power for the way he treated her..I mean, there’s no way Krystal can act normal after Power left her-being ‘betrayed’ by another guy in her life.

In it had data about Dick’s bank accounts and transactions. Michael checks the account where large sums of money has been transferred and the account belong to Power!! They suspect Power was the one who got Dick to do the ‘dirty work’ and change over the illegal black money. Michael decides to talk to Power (other thing is, I remember the last time they spoke, they declared to be enemies, why are they acting like friends again?) confronting him with the evidence he found. Michael asks him what is most important to him. Power replies ‘ friends and family’ (what a lie!) He asked Power whether he was the one who killed Dick and Bonnie and he didn’t deny it. However, Power said he would seriously think over what has just been said, and that he will take responsibility for anything he did.

In the next scene, a drunk-like Power goes to the Police station admitting he was the one who used black money and cheated the Insurance company, also killing Dick and Bonnie ..what is he up to?? It doesn’t make sense for him to really admit killing someone, not with what everything he has >< It’s probably another scheme and probably going to put the blame on Michael or something! But I can’t figure out his plan! Evil person..

This episode focuses mainly on Chung-Jai (Vincent Wan). HoMa has taken him back from England and has been staying at her place. At first everyone was against HoMa for let him give up on his study and return to look for work but HoMa kept standing firmly on her position. Even I kept thinking it was a little irrational of HoMa to do that but then we find out he really isn’t the studying type, even having cheated by stealing the exam paper to get 47%. JoBao understands and helps him keep this a secret from AhHong (Michelle), Grandma etc that he has returned.

Jobao seems to be around HoMa’s family more often now and it’s more looking like a family again and we get more funny family moments 🙂  One would be the scene where Jong-Jai gives a video call back to his grandma and we have the whole family pretending to be people cheering in the background as they “watch sport in Manchester” It was hilarious with the “ole, ole ole ole!” Seriously I thought they were going to recognize them considering they spoke as well!XD I’m glad Jong Jai is back with them, back safe and protected by HoMa.

While the family is altogether (except Ah Yuen), the family is really happy and Jo-bao gets drunk too and starts confessing his inner feelings and sorrow! His real emotions are revealed as he expresses how much the regrets breaking up the family and such a bad father he is, what he has put his children into, all simply because he thought Ah Hong was young and beautiful (compared to HoMa) back then..

When Moses was crying in the phone booth, Tavia was trying to apologise and explain to him that she was only pretending to call Ho Ma  about him ‘gambling’ again, but in fact she didn’t. She tries to show him that there’s no call history on her phone and when he takes it and presses a few buttons, he returns it to Tavia asking” How do you check?” so adorable!!

At the end of the episode, the family gives SaYi a surprise by celebrating her birthday with a delicious dinner, birthday cake, and a webcam video clip of her daughter “Ga Mei” (Kate Tsui) to wish her a happy birthday ^^.

SaYi was really touched and tried to kiss everyone! lol

Power goes to apologise to Krystal and ends up spending the night with her. He manages to reassure his love for her and convinces Krystal that three months will go quickly and that he will return to her once he’s done with the project.

The Police are getting more clues and have arrested some man who is linked to the ‘black money’ activities but the man won’t admit who is behind it all (because he is getting money for covering it up). Michael becomes frustrated and gets drunk and Mandy drives him home. When she stopped her car, she confesses her feelings for her but he doesn’t hear it and attempts to kiss him but he wakes up before she does.

Michael pretends to be a lawyer from the real bad guy ‘boss’, going to find the arrested man’s wife, pretending to only give him $10,000 instead of the previous agreed $1m. They successfully fool her in thinking the bad guy is not giving them enough money to cover up the truth from the police. Through her words, she mentions the company Kong Lau (Power’s father in-law) owns!!

Because of the previous suspicions of Lau Kong’s evil doings, Michael goes to find Power and tells him about his findings in hope Power would help him find evidence against his father in-law! Power claims he doesn’t know anything and won’t help him go against his own father in-law. Michael secretly put in a hearing device in Power’s car but gets found! Knowing that Michael must have done it, Power goes to confront Michael for using him/betraying him and they have an argument, where Power declares they are no longer friends! As a result, Power’s father in-law cancels all Michael’s security jobs and is now harder to get close to them for more information.

Krystal’s mother appears, often spying on her from a distance but Krystal hates her and will not acknowledge her as her mother. Diagnosed with Cancer, Anita tries to convince Krystal to go see her but she wouldn’t listen.

Despite promising Power not to ‘bother’ him for the coming three months, Krystal tries to call him but he says he was very busy with his project. However, she sees him shopping for clothes with his wife and becomes extremely jealous. When she tried calling him the second time, he simply hung up on her. As Krystal was getting depressed etc she started to get sick again and Anita once again took her to see the doctors. There she sees Tracy who tells her than she has Power’s baby! Krystal became so angry because it was obvious that she was’ losing in the battle’. Thus, she lures Power to see her again at her home by pretending she was so sick that she couldn’t get out of her bed. Power was frustrated to see had lied to him and she tries to gets all over him, saying she wants to give birth to his child. Power angrily rejects her, seeing that she was acting ridiculous and being irrational, getting in his way from achieving his goal and leaves! Torn-up by the rejection, Krystal takes out the camera which she had secretly hid in her home, containing pictures/recording of what just happened (with Krystal all over him)! Krystal sends the photos to Power’s father in-law!

Getting everyone out of the house, Power’s father in-law confronts Power for cheating on his daughter! He will never let him into the company and leave him with nothing! Power begged so badly for one more chance but he refuses and in a struggle, Lau Kong falls down the stairs! His heart-problems starting acting up again but Power decides not to save him and let him die! Power also admits to him that he knew Michael had put the hearing device in his car..its all part of some plan?? This whole plot is sounding so familiar! omg..Power..the true villain. I knew he was suspicious from the beginning!

This episode focuses on Raymond’s character and Linda starts to develop feelings for him

Raymond calls Linda (while she is driving) since it was her first day as a doctor, wanting to know if she would like to get something to eat together, but she already has plans with her mum and grandma. Suddenly a bus accident occurs before her eyes and Linda rushes out to help the passengers, leaving her phone unattended in the car. Raymond becomes extremely worried, thinking something bad had happened to her and he rushes off to find her. He was really relieved to see that Linda was ok (and Linda was surprised to see him as well) . Seeing that Linda’s jacket and shoes had some blood stains on them, Raymond goes to buy her new clothes (so Grandma won’t get scared). How sweet and thoughtful! XD Raymond was really attentive and caring, even helping her put her shoes on, making Linda feel something for him! ( I mean, who wouldn’t? XD) He then takes a photo of her with his phone to keep as memory. When Raymond’s family members were teasing him about how he had a photo of a girl in Raymond’s wallet, Linda gets extremely embarrassed, thinking it was a photo of her.

While working at the hospital, Linda bumps into Raymond who is holding a bunch of flowers walking towards her and she thinks that they were for her. However, he only gives her a box of cakes and leaves, leaving her curious about the flowers.

When Raymond was paying for some food, Linda takes a glimpse at his wallet and gets disappointed to see the girl wasn’t her. It turns out to be Tracy Ip and learns from Fala and Tavia that she is Raymond’s girlfriend. They dated for two years but broke up, only recently having got back together. The main reason they broke up was because of Raymond’s dedication and love for his family and Tracy often felt he didn’t love her enough or given her the attention she wanted. To Raymond, both Tracy and his family take first priority in his heart, but she didn’t want to be ‘equal’- she wanted to be the most important person to him.

Raymond decided to take Tracy home for a family dinner and introduce her to everyone (and they even managed to get JoBao to come along :)) However, after the family dinner, Tracy breaks up with Raymond again…She actually has another boyfriend but she didn’t know who to choose. However, after having gone back with Raymond for a month, and especially during the dinner, she realised the same problem existed just like before, and she knew clearly she wasn’t the right person for him. She knows that Raymond could find his true happiness with his family…Poor Raymond, especially having such a good time at dinner !! Linda sees all this at a convenient store.

When Raymond  returns, he announces to his family that he has broken up with Tracy =( it came to a shock for everyone since everything seemed fine at dinner but Raymond tells them they were having problems during the month they got back together and were unhappy…It was then grandpa went over to kiss Raymond and then the whole family wanted to kiss him too! lol They decided to play the game they did when they were young, where the family circled him and whoever Raymond pointed at, will have to kiss him! At first he points at SaYi but he denies that round counted!! hahah (SaYi wanted to kiss him so badly! XD) After the second attempt, Raymond ends up pointing at Linda~

She kisses him on both sides of his cheeks without any hesitation XD What a perfect excuse for Linda XD I think that kind of surprised Raymond! Aww..there there Raymond, please don’t be sad over Tracy anymore 🙂

Seeing the way he cared so much for his sisters, I think the scene where he helped Linda buy clothes and put on the shoe didn’t mean ‘anything’ in particular towards her. Ha already had Tracy back then and I feel that he acted that way because he saw her as part of his family.

On the other hand, Moses gets sacked from his job from all his stock market behaviour and it turns out it wasn’t because Astrid liked him that she kept him for so long. She was Michelle (Ah Hong)’s friend who had constantly been giving her expensive handbags, watches etc to help Moses keep his job. However, Astrid reached her limits when Moses kisses her in the office. (He thought that this would helphi keep his job XD)

Moses loses his job and Tavia tells him off, saying he really shouldn’t invest in stocks anymore. Moses vowed that from this day on, he won’t invest anymore and asks her to hit him if he does. Tavia reminds him that if he won’t stop, she and hoMa would be really heartbroken and hopes he’ll remember the lesson he learnt today! Tavia ends up biting onto his arm to imprint it into him! LOL Moses screams like crazy! haha..

The highlights of this episode would have to be the court scene and the scene where HoMa goes to beg Michelle to let Ah Sa off from being sued. I thought the whole truth revealing thing was dramatic as usual 🙂

I was a little surprised the court scene came so early in the series. I was expecting it somewhere near the end like HOG ^^; Looks like the story is going the reverse way from HOG.

Ah Sa kept insisting that they bring the matter into court and manages to get Grandpa’s support. She plans to use her 400,000 for the court case. Of course, HoMa knew this would create problems and tried to leave things the way it was but she was unable to stop them.

After HoMa and JoBao got a divorce, Ah Hong went to find HoMa and begs her to let them use the “Ga Ho Yuet Yuen” trademark because their business wasn’t doing well and Ah Jo has been getting drunk every night and beating up his children. However, Ho Ma refuses because she’s already lost her family so she will not let her father’s trademark get stolen as well. She advises that if they are having financial problems, then she should give the custody of the children back to her.

Grandpa expresses that Ah Jo went to find him later, begging him as well. When grandpa refused, Ah Jo started threatening him that he won’t have financial support for his family, and he won’t have money to fund Ah Ka to school etc.  On verbal agreement, if he lets him use the Business name, he’ll bring the  grandchildren over for him to play with 3 times a week and give back 20% of profits if the business does well. Grandpa agrees but Ah Jo goes back on his words.

However, Ah Hong and Ah Jo both deny the truth in court, lying that in fact HoMa was the one who shoved the business name for them to use and how it was a worthless name! I was so frustrated that Ah Jo and Ah Hong won the court case! This is so unfair!! As they leave the court room, Ah Sa challenges Ah Hong and Ah Jo about how true the things they said in court were. When Ah Sa also started saying how Ah Hong she breaks up people’s families (sells drugs?) etc, Michelle gets really offended and decides to sue her back $4million for defamation!

SaYi causes so much problems!! At first I was sort of excited to see the ‘battle’ between SaYi and Ah Hong, but it annoys me so much that SaYi causes the trouble and then pushes HoMa to clean up the mess for her -___- The scene where HoMa and LinJiYung (Wayne) go to Ah Hong’s house was very dramatic and awesome! I was worried for HoMa and wondered if she could hang in there, talking to a bunch of heartless people…she even fell over and injured her back (which was already injured)! I liked the things she said and how she reveals to everyone the way Michelle have been treated her children~ like howshe got LinJiYung to teach Ah Ka how to ‘gamble’. I feel so sorry for the kids, especially for Zhong Jai who was sent over to England when he was 12 years old solely to keep Linda company! Ah Hong were also spoling the kids by buying a lot of material goods, but Ah Hong of course tried to deny everything, but become speechless when HoMa asks her ‘Why haven’t you treat AhChow(Linda) like that then!? Why does she only have a second and car? Why does she have so little allowance?Why do you make her find a part time job to pay off her school fees?” Simply because she didn’t want her own daughter to be spoilt. You go HoMa!!! 😀 Ho Ma is soooo awesome :D Her words and the ways she delivers them are very powerful!It was also very sad to see HoMa having to beg them to take the 200,000 to settle the dispute. When Linda overheard the conversation, she couldn’t bare watching anymore and runs down, telling HoMa not to ‘beg’ them anymore. Linda offers to pay the 4 million even if she’ll have to borrow from her friends to help SaYi!

Finally Jo-Bao speaks out, taking the 200,000 and telling HoMa to leave. He also confesses his guilt and frustration from lying in court. I’m glad to see that there’s still some ‘human’ in him. He, along with Grandma were in tears from upon learning how Ah Hong have been treating and raising up the children. I hope JoBao and Grandma will see the real Ah Hong now! 😀
