Message from K

Hey everyone! How are you all doing?

Its been a while since I left a message so I thought I’d make a small one to keep you all informed on what’s been happening.

As you all know I’ve finished watching MR quite a while ago yet I still haven’t completed the summaries/thoughts! I shall try finishing them off soon!

As time approaches the TVB Anniversary Awards, I hope to catch up/finish off the posts regarding the series of 2008, leaving a fresh start for the coming year of new TVB Series =] These include:

  • Moonlight Resonance 38-40 done!
  • Love Exchange Episode 20 done!
  • Forensic Heroes II 20-30
  • The Legend of DemiGods 21-22 (maybe)

And hopefully some sort of mini comments/overviews for other series this year which I haven’t quite mentioned yet 🙂 They’re so long overdue I hope I can still remember them more clearly ^^;

Things are changing in my life and I know I won’t have the time to update this blog as regularly as I use to anymore. And so, I’ve decided that Moonlight Resonance will be the last series of Episodic Summaries/thoughts/Screencaptures I will be writing up. I hope you all enjoyed what I had to offer here =] Despite not having the regular episode write-ups, I will continue to share my thoughts on the various TVB series but they’ll be snippets of various things ^^

On a side note,  I just saw the ad on ‘The Four” and “The Gem of Life” on TVBJ satelite. I’m also starting to follow The Gem of Life and watched two episodes of it today. I have to say I don’t like the themevideo XD It gives me a big headache watching it scroll across the screen! Everyone ready for this 80 episode Grand series? ^^

News about the family going to court is spreading everywhere. The scene where Ah Hong holds a press conference was pretty cool! SaYi comes along and started confronting her about the bad things she has done- stealing other people’s husband, and now taking her husband and daughter onto her side! When GaMei defends Ah Hong and makes up more lies, SaYi loses hope in GaMei and never again would she want anything to do with her.

Because of her poor health, Grandma faints and becomes hospitalized. Despite the serious condition she was in, Grandma sneaks out of the hospital to look for the  old workers, etc in hope to gather evidence and witnesses for help JoBao for the court case, about them owning/running the Mooncake business etc

On the other hand, Linda has started to notice Bosco has changed and become very pessimistic and short tempered. After talking to his girlfriend’s mother, Linda learns that he didn’t actually marry her and that she has actually died of cancer in England. Linda goes to comfort him and he explains the reason he abandoned her back then and chose his ex-girlfriend was because he felt he owed her too much. This is ridiculous and so-overused! Linda becomes confused after this and seems to like Bosco all over again!! I hate watching this never ending cycle!! *sigh* I hate how Linda still has feelings for Bosco when she’s with Raymond already. Is Raymond only a rebound to her?

Raymond calls Linda when she is at Bosco’s home and she lies to him that she’s gotten home already. When Linda actually returns home, she sees Grandma unconscious at the bottom of the stairs!! Noo!!!!Ah Hong must have pushed her down ><

While at the hospital, the doctors told the family that Grandma will not be able to make it T_T, but has yet to tell her…. He passes on the message that she wants to see one person- Yan Hong! This has shocked everyone and caused a lot of questioning. I thought it must have been a dying person’s request; but it turned out Grandma didn’t even know she was going to die soon >< She made Ah Hong promise her three things or else she’ll tell everyone the bad things she did. Was it pushing her down the stairs? Other secrets we’re not aware of?

Grandma’s three conditions were:
1. Not go to court, and just split the asset half-half; and then they can both move on with their own life
2. Let Linda and Raymond continue to be together
3. If one day she was to die, she doesn’t want her to be written down as her Daughter in-law, but HorMa instead.

Ah Hong ‘agreed’ and when Grandma asked to see Ah Ho and the others, Ah Hong lied saying they are on their way, deliberately delaying and dragged out wasting time. Grandma eventually dies but is unable to say anything to them for the last time =(

When they questioned Ah Hong what Grandma had said to her; she continued to li; saying Grandma fully supports her! As if anyone would believe that!!

Moses and Tavia decide to close down their PR company to go back and help JoBao with the Mooncake Business. I like the feeling how HorMa’s family is reuniting again as they prepare themselves to fight the war against Ah Hong.

Tavia cries and hugs Moses, saying she’s scared something will happen to him. Since when did they get together though? Am I missing something? It seems that his heart condition is really bad, but he got Tavia to lie to the rest of the family about it. Before the age of 35, he has a very high chance of dying and because of this, Moses is very rushed when dealing with everything. Eventually the whole family finds out and they all show him love and support, taking care of him.

Raymond goes to find Linda’s dad and his cancer started acting up, and he takes him to the hospital. Seeing how her father loves her, Raymond persuades her to go see him and he realises that Raymond was a good guy afterall. Linda went to see him despite hating him. When he asked for forgiveness, she didn’t truly forgive him; she just nodded- like comforting a sick patient. I thought that maybe Linda’s dad will find out Michelle’s evil doings and how she manipulated things between him and Linda. Unfortunately, Raymond receives a phone call from the hospital that he has passed away. So quick…ah wells. Still, it gives Linda another ‘excuse’..to cry..*sigh*

While at a shopping centre, Linda sees Bosco and finds out that he has temporarily returned to Hong Kong and back working at the hospital. However, she realises that she is over him already and while they were at Karaoke,  she was only thinking about Raymond (Finally..:P) The two FINALLY get together..I hope there’s no more Bosco after this…

On the other hand, JoBao was willing to give half the business to Ah Hong, but she was determined to only leave 10% of the shares to JoBao! She believes JoBao didn’t deserve the 50%. I’m glad Linda ‘finally’ has an idea on what’s going on in the family. She’s been to involved with her obsession with Bosco that she failed to care anything about the family.

Initial Thoughts:

-Joe and Charmaine really remind me of Maiden’s Vow! (Esp with that hair it’s the 2nd Generation)
-The Time Period doesn’t appeal to me..

Kate and Chris actually got married! 0_0 I just thought it happened too quick. It was quite a cheesy wedding though because they only showed us a few ‘snapshots of the moments’. I don’t really care much though since they’re not really a couple I care about.

But now that Kate is HorMa’s daughter in-law, they have to put up with her (like how they had to put up with Susanna when she was a part of the family) Kate idolises Ah Hong and continues to side with her even after she is married to Chris. She continues to arouse problems in the family with her disrespectful attitude. Poor Susanna too, having her own daughter treat her like dirt. Her husband also sides with Ah Hong because of money ><

It turns out that Kate is actually pregnant with Jimmy’s baby and he blackmails her when he suspects her. While Chris is away on a business trip, Kate gets an abortion to remove the threat and gets her mother to cover up with her, saying she accidentally lost the baby. However, co-incidentally HorMa had a talk with Kate where Kate to fall over, and she ends up putting the blame of losing her baby on HorMa instead!!

When Chris ‘found out’ from Kate that it was HorMa who made her fall and lose her baby, he pleaded her not to tell her because he doesn’t want HorMa to feel guilty for the rest of her life. However, Ah Hong overhears the conversation and deliberately gets Kate to confront HorMa and scold at her! Luckily at the end, Susanna couldn’t help seeing her daughter act like that anymore. Angry and heartbroken, Susanna takes a out a cane and started whipping her!!! GO SAYI!!! I truly LOVED that scene! Susanna spoke out the truth about Kate’s baby in front of everyone!! It was so awesome watching Kate scream in pain! hahah..she totally deserved it!!

Linda on the other hand continues to annoy me. After reading Bosco’s blog and finding out he should be getting married with his girlfriend at a specific time in England, she holds onto the watch he gave her. I’m disturbed that she said she plans to wait 7 years for him to have a divorce. I thought she was joking but she had a serious expression that it didn’t look like it. She starts crying again!! I hate it every time she cries and hugs onto Raymond saying she misses Bosco >< That is so slack to him!! He also gets her to write a ‘report’ to him every night expressing how she is feeling about Bosco etc in hope it would help relieve ‘her pain’  >< I can’t believe he’s doing that..and she’s..argh…this is annoying to watch!

After Raymond has dinner with Linda, Linda’s dad follows him and starts beating Raymond up, threatening him to stay away from Linda! Luckily Linda ran back and her father ran away. Raymond kept the truth from Linda and denied knowing who the person was…

Today I received this SUPER kawaii artwork of the characters from DemiGods!!! XD SO CUTE X3 The whole thing is done by Chibi, so I thought I’d share it with everyone!

Chibi has requested that her artwork is not to be posted or redistributed anywhere else, so please respect her! 😀

The family looks like it is heading into a real crisis…

Kate and Chris started dating >_< geez..this is so not love. It looks like they’re just together for the sake of it, or part of Ah Hong’s plans. Sometimes it makes me wonder if Ah Hong told GaMei to go hook up with Ah Yuen and he accepted her because of his own loss of love life. Kate left Moses and went straight to Chris as his personal assistant- and now they’re dating? Something just doesn’t feel quite right. Within the same episode, GaMei claims that she has Ah Yuen’s baby and Ah Hong pressures Ah Yuen into marrying her! A conversation between Ga Mei and SaYi suggests GaMei is only lying about the baby >< Ah Hong and GaMei also haven’t had much of an encounter (if any) with each other before this so I’m curious as to who-approached-who and how Ah Hong managed to get GaMei on her side.

On the other hand, Raymond is always with Linda trying to cheer her up and help her get over her sadness about Bosco. Michelle sees this as HorMa telling Raymond to pursue Linda and she threatens she’ll do something back to her children~ Can’t she understand it’s Bosco who dumped Linda and left?

JoBao learns from Ah Yuen about being blackmailed, which is why he has to listen to Ah Hong in selling off the business and JoBao tries to reassure him that everything will be ok.

Later, Michelle’s ex-husband punches JoBao causing his eye to go ‘blind’ again and end up in hospital! Michelle’s ex-husband is also back to help Michelle for his last days before he dies of cancer. I reckon he’s a weirdo- like some crazy wild man. He seems to be deceived by Michelle in thinking she was the nice person, raising HaYu’s children etc but JoBao is ‘neglecting’ her after ‘using her’. I hoped that he would learn from Linda the truth about Michelle’s real nature, but Michelle is deliberately not letting the two see each other! Grandma on the other hand wanted to stop them from selling the business to Michelle’s ex-husband by barging into the meeting room and tearing up the contract. However, she also ends up hospitalised from all the commotion and from being hurt that her own Grandson Ah Yuen got security to send her out. Poor thing>< In addition, during a Moon Festival Promotional event for their CakeShop business, Mose’s heart problem started acting up again and faints; getting sent to hospital as well!

The final scene was another dramatic moment! Grandma and JoBao comes out of hospital in attempt to once again, stop Ah Hong etc from selling off the shares to her ex-husband! This time, JoBao also openly reveals Chris’ car accident in Thailand so that he won’t ever have to be blackmailed again! JoBao declares that if Chris was to go to jail, Ah Hong and her ex-husband will also have to for ‘helping’ Chris, Ah Gong for stealing the company’s money and GaMei will have to suffer since Chris is her husband-to-be!
