[E.U] Ron & Elanne (2)

Some more of their sweet moments![Episode 15 and 16]

Ron returns home late that  night to find a whole feast prepared. When he recognises the dishes prepared, he went on Elanne’s Princess Blog and found a new blog entry and some photos.

null

Today is a really special day, because I made dinner for the guy I love for his birthday. One year ago, I had dinner with him at a very romantic restaurant, and ate the same meal. Obviously mine didn’t taste as good; it probably tastes horrible. But I know he would definitely eat all of it. Too bad he didn’t end up turning up, but it doesn’t matter, as long as he’s happy. At midnight, I made a wish and blew out the candles for him,  wishing that he’ll always be happy.

Ron was moved by what she did for him and  decided to leave her a message as Lucky Prince.

Lucky Prince: Even though you may say your cooking tastes bad, I believe that your friend would really like it,… and think it tastes really nice.
Elanne: You don’t have to cheer me up, if it tastes bad, it’ll taste bad, how would it taste good?
Lucky Prince: Because he likes you. So no matter what you make him, he’ll like it.

Sometimes it makes me wonder what the situation would be like if Ron did return home when Elanne was still there waiting for him. Would he still act cold towards? Would he upset her again and show no appreciation for the effort she put in? Or would he simply enjoy the meal with her?

Elanne decided not to give up on their friendship, and proactively went to find him. She went to Mega-disco to find him in attempt to grab his attention (and it worked pretty well XD) Ron kept telling her that he has no time for her and that she should go and occupy herself. Elanne went dancing with the other people and Ron kept  looking over her to see if she was ok, and he became very  clumsy, knocking into people etc When he saw Elanne drinking with a group of guys, he got them away. Elanne wanted to prove to him that he still cared about her..

null

Next when he was playing pool, Elanne would turn up there too, making him miss the balls when he was playing; losing the game. He told Elanne to find some friends and do something else, so she went to  play with some other boys that were there and Ron got annoyed/distracted.

null

Ron told her off for trying to make friends here and she told him she doesn’t have any friends, so following him to make some new ones. He got annoyed at her, and as he was about to leave, Elanne asked if he loved her. When he denied, she told him that she felt the same way (lies xD) and really hoped that they could be friends like before.

null

‘One year ago, we pretended to be lovers. Even though we were only pretending, I was really happy and I could tell you had a fun time too.’

Ron agrees to have things like before again
And he agrees <3

And so, just like that- the two got back together. They went dinner together again at the same place one year ago. They wanted to relive that moment. When they found out that the year of the wine they drank last time was already taken by another customer, the two went to ask if he could let them have it instead.

null

The two went to convince the other customer by telling him how important the bottle of wine was to them; through their love for each other

null

That was just so sweet XD Their love seems so geninune lol  Even though there were a bit of lies here and there, there were also truths in what was said and I think it was a way of them expressing how they really  feel towards each other, but brushing it off as only an  act.

null

The two succeed and they managed to get the bottle of wine 🙂

Out at the park, Elanne wanted to re-enact the photo shots they took when they were pretending to kiss in the ‘rain’ last time  and Elanne took out her camera phone.

null
After viewing the pictures again, Ron was not quite happy with how they turned out XD And Elanne kissed him on the cheeks. He got embarrassed and told her that ‘that’ didn’t happen last time. She said she did when they were outside the restaurant. Elanne commented that he’s face is all red and reminds him that they’re only playing XD

[E.U] Episode 22

The Best Episode of E.U ever..

*Contains Major Spoilers*

I didn’t want to make this post now, since I planned to post up some bits from pre- episode 22  first… but after watching this episode today, I just couldn’t help but want to scream this out somewhere- (and since this is my TVB blog…it is the perfect place ): EPISODE 22 was just SOOOOO SAD and EMOTIONAL!!! T_T

Laughing-gor…nooooooo!!!!!! T_T He was such a cool character and I really didn’t want him to die. I knew it was going to happen sooner or later (since Ron is the main character- he will ultimately take Michael.M down), but I really didn’t want it to be so soon..It’s such a pity that he couldn’t complete his mission T_T I’m really proud of what he has achieved though- through the 9 years being undercover- he gave up everything to get up the ladder and helped the police arrest countless criminals, and gather countless evidence and leads. He also got rid of the previous leader and got so close to catching Michael.M too ><  So close. He tried so hard and watching the episodes leading up to this(where Michael.M was suspecting him) was so suspenseful!

Why !?  Why ‘Pak Kiu’ >< Argh!! It’s so frustrating! I know it’s not his fault and he didn’t mean to; but I just can’t help but feel so annoyed by him. I wish he would just get out of his way! I want Pak Kiu to know Laughing was really an undercover..I want him to feel guilty lol (slack but yeh)

I think if it wasn’t for Laughing teaching,  guiding and protecting Ron, Ron would not make it this far. I guess we can say, he didn’t die in vain. He was able to exchange his life to help Ron gain Michael.M’s trust.

I really enjoyed watching the bond he shared with Ron…the death scene was just so emotional T_T Previously Ron mistook  him for betraying him and I’m glad they were able to clear it up before he left (or after Ron read his diary entries).

Laughing’s death also serves as a wake up call for Ron and his mission.  I think after this, Ron will follow Laughing’s way- and become completely mission focused, using all means to arrest Michael.M (even if it means using Elanne).

Michael Tse really shines in this series and I really love his character.  His character made the story so much more interesting, and especially so much more exciting for the episodes leading up to this one..

Side note: Laughing kind of reminds me of L from Death Note. He is highly gifted and intelligent but ultimately killed, and his mission was left for N and M, in this case- Ron. Laughing’s popularity also reminds me of BT (Johnson Lee) in Catch Me Now.

[E.U] Undercover identity

For the things that have happened so far up to episode 19, there’s been a subconscious thought in my mind – is Ron really doing a good job as an undercover cop? Do you think he’s convincing? Just a thought.

It has been over a year where Ron slowly worked his way up. How was he able to gain Michael.M’s trust? (Or does Michael just use people, but not completely trust them?) Is it really that easy to believe a cop would suddenly become a gangster based on the fact he could no longer be a cop? Surely there are other things he could do; because such a dedicated cop would know what’s right and what’s wrong.

Michael.M has also worked with Ron before so he should also know that Ron is a person who thinks of the bigger picture and is willing to take risks; not necessarily following the exact rules to achieve his goal. Does money seem like a big motive for him? Shouldn’t he suspect him?

I don’t think Ron acted evil enough. Then again, the other gangsters aren’t necessarily ‘evil’, especially compared to the Motorcycle-helmet gang.

When the motor-helmet incidents started occurring, Ron immediately chased after the criminal when he saw it happening on the streets. The moment he decided to chase the criminal reflected that he hasn’t really changed. He was still there to protect the innocent and take down the bad people. When Sammul learns of Ron’s actions, he was comforted and believes that the ‘old’ Ron was still there. That night was Ron’s birthday and Sammul hoped to celebrate with him- unfortunately Ron couldn’t and rejected his offer. However, later that night when Sammul went fishing with Kaki, he sees Lam Ka Wah(head cop) and Ron secretly leaving the dark forest and starts suspecting his identity.

Sammul later confronts Ron for the truth! That part was so exciting XD I didn’t think that Sammul would find out Ron’s identity so early on the series lol. Ron denies it but couldn’t give a convincing explanation. I think Sammul knows now and I guess it is comforting for us, since another person knows that Ron hasn’t actually changed. It’s more risky now though isn’t it?
On another occasion, the two secretly meet up for a drink and chat about their personal lives…

*The Following Contains Spoilers up to episode 19*

[E.U] Ron & Elanne

I must say, at first I didn’t feel much for this couple. Ron and Elanne started out on  bad terms and they disliked each other. I didn’t like Elanne’s attitude towards him so I could understand where he was coming from.

When Ron found out Elanne was selling fake-cds, he ended up handing them  over to the police when they were around. To take her revenge on him, she deliberately stuffed him up while he was on his job. The two often argued and it was obvious they would eventually become friends somehow and later fall in love. How it all happened however, turned out quite sweet lol and I started liking this couple.

And so! I’ve decided to compile some of their memories together. The following are screencaptures taken from episode 12 and 14 which are shown as Elanne’s flashback sequences after Ron starts distancing himself from her.

Ron at Elanne's Place

I think Michael.M and her Princess blog  really brought them together. Elanne has a blog where she pretends to be a princess traveling around the world. The blog was really popular and many people followed it.  When Ron found out she was the one actually pretending to be the princess and that she had copied her ideas off a manga, he started bagging her out through the blog XD

Later, Ron finds out about her sad past and started feeling sorry for her. He decides to encourage her through her blog, taking on the name of “Lucky Prince”. Elanne does not know that it was Ron all along secretly support her, whom appears not to care about her that much.

In addition, Ron wanted to help Elanne make up with her father (Michael.M) and often looked after her. While on his mission to take down the drug manufacturing operations, Ron agrees to work with Michael.M who claims he is willing to do anything to get his daughter back.  As a result, Elanne forgives her father and they mend their relationship. It turns out that Michael had used Ron to help him climb up the ladder instead.

Ron continues to look after her, introducing her a job at the comic store and she really likes it there. The two started to get along quite well and he actually agreed to help take photos with her for her princess blog lol It was funny watching him pretend to be “Lucky Prince”, when it really was him lol

Ron and Elanne taking pictures for her Princess blog

What I found bizarre was the fact Ron would agree to hug and pretend to kiss her in the ‘rain’ (water sprinklers) XD

When Elanne fell sick with a fever, Ron was very attentive and took care of her. When she woke up, she found a bowl of congee readily made for her to eat, and the tired Ron who has fallen asleep on the couch.

Later, Ron gets into trouble when the cops find out he got close to Michael.M who is now the new triad leader. Elanne was really worried about him but when Ron was able to clear his name, Elanne was a little upset that Ron was going to move back home. That night, the two had a celebratory dinner together and after the meal, the half drunk Elanne kisses Ron on the cheeks XD
The half-drunk Elanne kisses Ron
After this, Ron starts distancing himself from her as he accepts the role of an undercover cop. He doesn’t want to use her to get close to Michael.M so starts acting cold towards her =(

While browsing on youtube this morning, I’ve watched some E.U clips from some promotional function they had in HK. It was kinda neat 🙂 Wish I could have been there haha

Michael Tse, Ron Ng, Sammul Chan singing EU Themesong Live:

Variation Black and White

Hea~ Woo~

Repeat *

*Download the Full Themesong

I really like the themesong, it sounds really catchy and it reminds me of  its prequel “On the First Beat” where a group of guys sang the themesong. It’s even better since they are casted in the series 🙂

Elanne Kong singing the SubThemesong Live: Palm Print

Repeat*

Another really nice song 🙂 When I think of how they casted a singer into the series, I think of how Joey Yung was also a singer casted into ‘On the First Beat’. Like Joey, Elanne was also given the part to sing the Sub Themesong. I wonder why Fiona Sit didn’t sing in ‘The Academy’?

Kathy Chow singing  SubThemesong Live:

Nothing to be Ashamed of 無愧於心

*Download the CD Version

I think its a bonus when a series has more than one sub themesong 🙂 yay!

[Message from K]- Quick Update

Hey everyone! 😀 How are you all?

Just letting you guys know what’s been happening and to answer some of the FAQs. Updates have been less since I’ve started full time work but I do manage to watch an episode of TVB a night which is nice 🙂 hehe for now anyways before I hit busy season. I have been actively chasing E.U! As with most of you I’m waiting on episode 15 and it really ‘wow’s me. I’m enjoying it a lot and I like most of the characters. ooo..half way through the series already! Can’t wait to watch the rest of it. More about it in my next post-(hopefully I’ll write something up later today but no guarantees- if not, it’ll have to be the next weekend!)

On a side note, The Greatness of a Hero is airring on Monday on TVBJ Australia at 7pm (After Page of Treasure). I didn’t really watch Page of Treasures, only bits and pieces and it didn’t appeal to me much! Wayne and Sonjia were entertaining to watch, but I wasn’t that interested in watching the other sibling’s relationship and love interest. It was funny how Macy’s character turned out to be a lesbian though XD And I loved the TVB drama references they had throughout the series.

I’m still wondering if I should give ‘Greatness’ a go..seems to have mixed reviews. The new series “A Wintermelon Tale” doesn’t look all that exciting either. I wanna see something GOOD. haha

Talk to you guys later! Gotta go do some stuff lol (weekends are so valuable once you start working!)
