[Message from K] March 2011

Hi Everyone!

I’ve finally finished my exams on Tuesday  (hopefully …FOREVER!)..YAY!! That hopefully means I will have a bit more time to do what I want haha.  I’ve also just finished watching “The Rippling Blossom 鱼跃在花见“!   I watched the series largely because of Chilam XD  I only had the chance to watch from episode 13 onwarads until the end but from what I’ve seen, the series was pretty enjoyable.  Being interested in the Japanese culture, I liked watching the setting in Hokkaido, and looking at all the oiishi food XD I finally went to satisfy my cravings for Japanese food last night when I went out to have Japanese for dinner ahha  XD ITADAKIMASU! hehe Although the series is probably another typical-ish TVB series , the Japanese stye, cooking and Chilam (of course) makes up for it, and I think it’s one of the better series released this year so far (although I can’t say that this year has been that great…). I’ve added in some of my thoughts on the series here. Do share your thoughts! 🙂

Chilam and Myolie @ The Rippling Blossom Speaking of Chilam, his “What is Love” album will be releasing soon too! So to help him do a bit of promotion:

Extract from Yesasia.com:

The popularity of TVB drama The Rippling Blossom has put its leading man Julian “Chilam” Cheung back in the limelight. Twenty years after his first break as a singer, Chilam finally gets to hold his first solo concerts at the Hong Kong Coliseum in March 2011. In the meantime, he is to release his latest album What is Love, which features the concert theme song “Melt Your Heart” (which is tailor-made for him by Mark Lui and Lin Xi) and his new heartfelt ballad “In Love with an Extraterrestrial”. Other songs on the album include The Rippling Blossom’s theme song “How Deep is the Sea”, the song Chilam penned for his son called “Toy Story”, plus two Mandarin songs.

The album comes with a bonus DVD containing a music video.

He recently appeared on Jade Solid Gold and performed “Return of Cockoo/The Rippling Blossom” Theemsong! Checkit out here. I’ve always loved his voice- I fell in love with his previous TVB themesongs as well, especially “Wish You Well” (Return of the Cockoo) and “Love has no Dreams” (The Point of No Return). His themesong for the Rippling Blossom is also uplifting. I’m definately looking forward to his new release, and I want to wish him the best of luck for his upcoming concert!!

Excerpt from Yesasia.com:

There were controversies – unfounded, some would say – when Raymond Lam was awarded “The Most Popular Hong Kong Male Singer in the Asia Pacific Region” two years in a row on TVB’s Jade Solid Gold Best Ten Music Awards. Now the hot-as-hell Hong Kong singer/actor is out to prove a point with the release of his long-awaited first Mandarin album. Aptly titled First, the album is a collection of 10 new songs tailor-made to Raymond’s magnetic voice. The heartfelt ballad “Let Me Love You For An Hour” comes to be the first plug and is followed by the up-tempo number “One More Time”. Some of Raymond’s biggest Cantonese hits are also adapted into Mandarin here, such as “Another Way To Love You” and “Love Searching For You In Memories”.

[Message from K] February 2011

Hi Everyone *waves* Hope you are all well and happy ^^. Just wanted to leave a quick note here to wish you all a Happy Chinese New Year  and to welcome the year of the rabbit! : D YAY!! Hope you all get lots of happiness, fortune, red pockets and yummy food XD

Also a small update on what’s been happening with me. Some of you may have noticed I haven’t been as active in updating my blog as I may have in the past ever since No Regrets ended. I just wanted to let you all know I haven’t abandoned my blog or anything like that. It’s just that I haven’t really been interested in the series released post- No Regrets XD Maybe NR was just that epic haha. I did watch Links to Temptation and left some brief thoughts.

I’ll definately (hoping anyway haha) be back posting when some better TVB dramas get produced and then I can start rambling on with my thoughts again. Any  exciting series coming up that you guys are interested in/looking forward to? I think the current one looks ok [7 days in Life]- will see based on what kinda reviews I hear from it. Other than, I’m looking forward to seeing Chilam back on TV hehe

I still come on everyday to check on my blog so feel free to leave me comments 🙂 I have an exam in a month’s time so I’ll be focussing my attention on that too so I hope you’ll be patient with me!

Hmmm what else..YES! Asian Movies (a bit of a side track from TVB)- I’ve only recently watched Infernal Affairs!!! XD IT’S SO GOOD!!!!! XD  haha when I told my friends, they started laughing at me because they thought I would have seen it by now! I know..I’m a bit slow..haha I absolutely love the cast and storyline! The characters are so cool, and there are so many eye-candys! xD The movie reminded me of “Laughing-Gor Turning Point Movie”, especially because it was of a similiar genre and Anthony Wong and Eric Tsang are in it. Of course, Infernal Affairs is wayyy better haha. <3 Andy and Tony ! I thought Edison and Shawn Yue fitted so well as their “young” characters too!!

I heard Movie 2 and 3 are a bit disappointing but I wanna watch them anyway xD I’ll just set lower expecations for them..jus can’t get enough of it! (That’s what I say now..hahawill let you guys know after seeing it) XD
