In this episode:
*Nancy Wu makes her first appearance as Lawrence’s ex-girlfriend~ Her character seems quite funny because she doesn’t seem very serious about her relationships (dating over 10 in a year) and how she was complaining to Lawrence all the time. You could tell he doesn’t really care because he knows she’ll get over it very quickly and start dating another guy soon. She points out how she hated strawberry flavour and she found a strawberry lip balm in her boyfriend’s clothes (suspecting it belongs to another girl), so wants to break up with him. I wonder what her character would be doing in this series and whether she would also be associated with the Real Estate Agent business, or have any particular relationship with someone. This is also the 2nd series I’ve seen with Nancy (first being Face to Fate) I hope she’ll have a larger role here.
*Yoyo gets hired and starts working at the Real Estate for Lawrence.
I thought the recruiting process was quite silly, in that it tends to happen all the time. You have the weirdest applicants, and Yoyo was pretty much the only decent normal one lol How they said there’s high demand for the Real Estate job industry, I thought there would be more serious applicants. Yoyo’s first job was handing out ads out to whole blocks of houses and at the time, testing her how much homes there were etc. At first I thought that guy was just playing tricks on her, but I guess she’s learning on the way too. Counting how many units etc is a bit silly I reckon. They can easily give her those facts. The music with her repetitive task got so annoying XD
*Raymond Cho makes his first appearance as another Real Estate Agent in a very large competiting firm. His character seems so alive and enthusiastic lol I wonder how he’s acting would like in here, since he doesn’t usually take the of the bigger roles. Judging from the theme video, looks like a love triangle between Lawrence Yoyo and him. I think he and Yoyo were quite compatible in Forensic Heroes even though they weren’t a couple =) He appears to act familiar with Lawrence (he used to learn under Lawrence’s father) as well…must of betray them and left
First episode was ok =) gotta say how the series started gave me a weird feeling with the different placements of buildings etc. The intermission thing between the start/end of ads looks a bit dodgy but I suppose its different.
At first Yoyo’s character reminded me of her role in Forensic heroes~ seems to be the type in charge of the family, saving money her father is constantly spending~ (only one with a sense of planning with her life), and has a “weak” younger brother who she is always looking over for. Her character’s name is Tsu Chi- “Ling”~ which I thought TVB used quite a few times already in other series like La Fe Desperado, Survivor’s Law, When Rules turn loose . That guy who plays her father is so annoying xD Don’t think I’ve ever liked that actor’s roles before. I wonder if his character would change through the story?
*Lawrence’s character (Ching Chi-Leung) reminded me of Sunny’s role in Love Guaranteed where he is always smiling to his clients and doing anything to make them rent/buy some place. The narrator of the story is his father(Chung King Fei) who seems to be proud of his son, because he is more successful as a real estate agent, yet the son doesn’t seem to give him much attention or really care about him. I think their father and son relationship will face some problems in this series, which hopefully would be solved. Feels as if Lawrence doesn’t really consider his father’s feelings while the father is willing to give up his trip with the other old buddies to come back because his son asked him to for his business.
*I thought it was quite funny how one of the agent was taking Yoyo and Halina (playing as her friend) to look at different places to rent XD Sounds like she’s so stingy with all those requirements, and they actually found one o.0 What good service lol
I hope to see more of Yoyo and Lawrence’s character interaction as both of their characters seem to be the talkative persuasive type. At the end of the episode, Yoyo gets fired from her job by her scary-looking boss ~ a great chance for her to work as an agent I think =) *that running and charging for the phone was funny ehehe*
*Themesong by Sharon Chan- first heard it when watching the Lady In Red Concert on TVBJ
I think it sounds better now that its with a series ^^

This blog has been up for about 1 month now. Really happy to see it has reached 2000 hits ^^ Thanks for your support!~
Thanks ChibiJen for the above gift! Its so cuuuuute =3
Yay! Face to Fate ^___^
Next series coming up after Maiden’s Vow:

Casts: Lawrence Ng Kai Wah (吳啟華), Yoyo Mung Ka Wai (蒙嘉慧), Chung King Fai (鍾景輝 ), Raymond Cho Wing Lim (曹永廉 ), Nancy Wu (胡定欣), Halina Tam(譚小環)
Episodes : 20
Mmm…not sure how this series would turn out. I hope it will turn out good =D even though I read the synopsis and it doesn’t sound that appealing. I like Yoyo, so I look forward to seeing her in this series~ The trailer had this music which really reminded me of Men in Pain. I hope its nothing like Men in Pain cause I really didn’t like that series very much. Neat, 20 episodes, so even if it doesn’t turn out that good its short. I’ve only seen Lawrence Ng act in one series lol which was The Heavenly Sword and Dragon Sabre(2000). So far when seeing trailers of different TVB series, most of the ones that appear good doesn’t turn out as good as expected (e.g Lethal Weapons of Love and Passion), while some didn’t look as appealing which I ended up liking heaps (Au Revior Shanghai). And then! There are series that look good, and turns out good too!! =D (Face to Fate) while..ones that look crappy..is crappy (Men In Pain).
I hope this one would be “doesn’t look as appealing, turns out heaps good” ^^
*Extra Spoiler Warning since its the last episode for the series*
I thought this episode wrapped up things pretty well and it was a decent ‘ending’ type of episode. I liked most of the things that happened, up until the last few minutes of the series~> which was a bit disappointing. My guess about Charmaine not turning up to the wedding was right.. +_+; I just thought that so sooo mean to K.O He tried so hard to convince her to marry him and even held a wedding ceremony where he didn’t invite anyone because Charmaine’s character didn’t want a wedding just to tell the world or make it seem like marriage is just “show”. I mean, compare it to his previous wedding where he invited all those people… I reckon for Charmaine not turning up might because further problems for them (can u imagine how awkward it would be when Joe goes back?) Charmaine doesn’t seem the least guilty for what she’s doing. She doesn’t seem to care about his thoughts (not willing to give up anything for him?) Some may argue that he doesn’t respect Charmaine’s decision…I dunno – just doesn’t seem to fit the whole theme-ish thing for this series. I personally think Charmaine should marry Joe..ah wells
For the 4 different generation endings of Joe and Charmaine:
1. Charmaine marries someone else. Couldn’t be together, and explosion kills them both off.
2. Joe does not return, and Charmaine is left to grow old herself.
3. Started off married and both died together thru an accident
4. Charmaine doesn’t want to marry Joe.
Other stuff that happened in this episode:
*Sammul confesses his love to Joe, but Joe does not accept it
*Sammul wins the cooking competition and the chopsticks with the encouragement of Joe turning up
*Sammul goes off
*Charmaine and Joe get back together
*Charmaine’s friend gets married
*That man who left his wife for another women and son ends up with nothing. It turns out that son isn’t even his.
Overall, I would rate this series 6/10. It was ok…(Note: I’m not rating Charmaine’s acting, but the story overall. Charmaine’s acting was quite good)
Tomorrow night would be airing the last episode of [Maiden’s Vow]. I heard that the series doesn’t end properly~ wonder what it would be like. Judging from the “Next Episode” preview, Joe seems to be waiting for his bride~ Charmaine? Maybe that’s how the series would end? Not sure whether Charmaine turns up or not? lol We’ll just have to wait and see…
It looks like Sammul’s character likes K.O hahaha~ I’d like to see the expression on Joe’s face when he confesses his love lol
Sammul is a nice addition to the fourth generation =) there’s no evil in him~ cleared from the 1st generation eheh
*After Charmaine brought her friends over to Joe’s house and mucked it up, their relationship started getting to some problems.
*The two make up with each other on Valentine’s Day, but ruined when Joe’s ex-girlfriend turns up and he spends the night with her (They sat at some park). This causes Charmaine and Joe’s relationship up-side up-side-down
* Charmaine’s friend is 2-timing on Valentines Day with 2 dates both at the same restaurant (up stairs and downstairs)
*Sammul’s character appears- Charmaine’s characters’ ex-boyfriend
*Misunderstanding builds when Joe sees Charmaine at Sammul’s place.
Not an interesting episode ~ didn’t enjoy it very much and things are getting messy. One thing I’d like to mention is how something is used many many times: Guy1 dating/married to Girl 1. Girl1 cheats on Guy1 and leaves for Guy2. Guy1 meets Girl2 (They fall in love) Girl1 comes crying back to Guy1 (because Guy2 wasn’t as good as she thought). Guy1 doesn’t know who to choose – Girl1/Girl2. Usually at the end, Guy1 chooses Girl2.[Which reckon is the Better choice!] Seriously, Girl1 get what she deserves. She’s the one who left Guy1 to start off with, and then when she releases Guy1 is the better one she tries going back..I think that’s very selfish of that person, Guy1 is already with Girl2. In these situations Guy1 seems to consider Girl1 again (suppose he still likes her). This is usually the conflict in the relationship~
Similar relationships in Take my Word for it, Trust of a Lifetime, Trimming Success, Reaching Out, just to name a few..
So cliché~ is it that common that it happens in almost all occasions?
Maiden’s Vow is coming to an end this Friday~ What do I think of the 4th generation so far? Quite interesting actually lol It was interesting to see how Charmaine and Joe’s relationship would develop. I liked the little addition they added with the relationship between Joe’s character and his mother. I liked how they made up with each other (much like the 2nd generation with that women and her blinded mother). on Episode 26, it like a “testing” episode for Joe’s character since he seemed to be warned a lot about Charmaine’s character and the possibility she is sticking to him only because of his money~ and its proven wrong =) *is relieved* lol The whole time I was like *please don’t stuff up Charmaine* (i.e don’t take all his money) Cause she seems to be easily pressured and influenced from her friends who constantly tell her to use his money etc xD So far, all the Charmaine’s in the previous generations didn’t do anything wrong, and if this one did~ it would ruin everything. Another point that made me go o__0?? was when Charmaine’s friend said she was turning 18..that’s like, no way 18 ~~ she doesn’t look 18 and doesn’t act 18, and honestly when she’s not even “18” and she goes sleeping with people? Is TVB trying to say that’s ok? (Is that what a modern girl does nowadays~ or have they been exaggerating the view with the traditional roles of women?) So Charmaine’s character is around 18 too then I assume~ Also, why does it seem like TVB is trying to make it look common that a guy gets “injured’ so easily (impotent is it called?) ~ gets his problems like in Men in Pain, Love Insurance and in Maiden’ Vow (if you guys know what I’m talking about). I don’t seem to see them use this idea in series produced in other years..why this year?
