oo..the conclusion with Halina turned out alright..I thought she would have died, but I guess its better this way that Sharon’s mother helps her see the real face of that guy and hopefully she can try start her life over again, instead of dying a pointless death.
I think Sharon’s character (Carol) must of felt great after going to find Lok Yi (James) at his university. She was brave enough to leave the car and search for him, even though she usually hates going to places where there are people because of her leg. Goodie she met nice people who thought she was like them, another uni student. When she asked them whether they have noticed how she was different to everyone else, the guy commented that she was prettier than a lot of girls ^^
Another two points I thought I’d point out even though they have appeared in previous episodes before.
1. The jewlery shop where Sharon’s mother often goes to. It looks very much like a modern day jewlery store especially with the clothes the sales people are wearing. Doesn’t it look out of context?
2. So weird how that guy was crossdressing and pretending/imitating to be ‘Fei Jie'(Sum Tin Ha) XD It took me about 2 seconds to realise there was something wrong…lol Its all for the laughs I guess, but I wonder what she would be thinking if she saw that..
The younger version of Michael and Bobby’s character have their voice over so you can recognise who is who XD The story about how Bobby’s brother gets missing, how Bobby ended up not being able to play against Michael, how we first see him in episode 1 at Phillipines getting beaten up and continously losing in gambling; then how he became friends with Michael (up to this point) is revealed.
Sorta sad to see that Michael’s mother has gone insane from gambling so much she cannot even recognise her own son..I wonder if Michael got the interest in gabling from his mother.
Even though I didn’t really get the rules to the gambling game (looked a bit like Cheat), but I thought it was really interesting (between Michael and the guy with the disfigured face Sung) since it was the first match we get to see =) It got a bit intense too with the gun pointing at Bobby and how Michael kept losing.
So embarrassing for Jessica when going on the blind date, esp when Bobby, Michael and Benz was there xD I knew that guy wasn’t the guy she’s supposed to meet up with but she didn’t let him explain lol Jessica seems to have something for the ‘CEO’ XD Can’t wait to see more of their relationship ehehe~
I thought it was really nice of Jessica to try help Bobby find his little brother by getting one of her relatives to do some photoshopping(?) on the computer and try and predict what he would look like now from the photo of his brother when he was young and Bobby’s photo and it looks just like another Bobby! XD But gotat say, the hair has some resemblances to Bosco’s hair from the opening clips~ ^^
I really like Bosco’s character! But poor thing T_T At first I thought he’s quite funny~ covering himself etc, but then later feel really sorry for him!! Esp when Bobby threw out the stuff and he tried getting it back, and how he’s scared to come in contact with society and people around him. I don’t blame him at all though from all that he’s been through.
I really like the bond between Jessica, Bosco (and with Bobby as well).. Jessica seems to care a lot about Bosco and Bosco trusts her the most. So sweet how’s shes always there for him ^^ You really get to see the other side of Jessica (other than the funny gambling side) I wonder when will he find out that Bosco is the little brother he’s looking for..*I hope soon ^^* At least Bobby is trying to get along with him (his roomate) unlike Glittering Days where Roger and Liza hate each other when Roger is actually the long lost son of hers. That leaves one of those sad regretful moments for not treating them better. Good that its not happening here ^^; I wonder if Bosco’s character hates his brother for leaving him..?
Other funny things I’ve noticed is the reaction of the people walking down the streets in the background XD Its so obvious they are just standing there watching them film, some were pointing, some where laughing..but I guess its unavoidable when filming outside with all the people.
I watched this episode before while at HK ^^ Only difference I remember was the little clip shown when its commercial breaks. They had changed it to showing Liza and her generation of singing, rather than Roger, Charmaine etc
I thought it was interesting to see the “three golden flowers” rehearsing~ haven’t really heard them sing, esp Sharon’s mother =)
I can’t believe Charmaine actually got tricked by Joel and beleived him =___=;;;; geez, he is getting on my nerves..
I hope Sharon’s mother doesn’t get the blame for Halina’s death since she was there with the money etc The end surely surprised me..
Another thing I noticed was when Sharon’s father was on the phone with that guy- he was the one whose wife had commited suicide because of Roger~ sorta freaky. I didn’t really notice because back then when I watched it in HK, I didn’t know who he was talking to on the phone. Maybe Sharon’s father is also involved with the downfall of Roger, not simply hiding the truth- maybe there’s more to it..
The next episode looks really exciting ^^Can’t wait to see it
Why would that man take Bobby to his parents without telling him that his parents have already passed away ? ? ?? What in the world? ? Who would do such a thing?? At first I thought it might be possible that his parents have died already but the man didn’t say so; simply they have moved further away. Bobby with all his hopes up and excitement to see his parents again must of been completely destroyed..

[Jessica calls Bobby after taking his money and running off]

[Bobby’s mysterious Room mate]

phew..lets just say I’m relieved that Roger now has a secure shelter thanks to the group of lovely people^^ And he was able to smile =)
Geez, that man sure knows how to trick people with the lighter business. Wonder what would have happened if Halina/Charmaine found out that there was actually more than 2 lighters and had been told the same thing. Doubt this would happen though. That man is also good at acting in front of his daughter (i.e Sharon), though I don’t think its possible for him to snatch his daughter away from her mother.
The story is catching my attention from the start ^^ starting from the themesong by Hacken Lee and the themevideo~
So far, Jessica is my favourite character~ she’s absolutely one hilarious gambling-addict. The clothes she wears and the way she acts is so funny..ehehee. She simply really loves the casino xD and bringing a red underwear with her for good luck lol I think the Jessica we see is different to her usual roles and its quite refreshing ^^
Michael’s character appears so cool! He can look so scary at times (can really play a villain), yet other times appear like a really nice person (and I mean genuinely~ unlike John Chiang’s character in “Face to Fate”) In either situations I still like his character ^^ I like watching the interaction between him and Bobby. Looks like they are reallly good friends, great buddies..but something will happen in the story and I still do hope their friendship will be there rather than going against each other.
Bobby plays the funny sort of character, but feeling sorry for him already been constantly beaten up..especially that part where Michael lured him out- his best buddy, to let him get beaten by that guy so to keep that guy happy…Bobby is also ok with it because he believes he owes a lot to Michael but still…I wouldn’t feel very happy if I was Bobby..and doesn’t Michael feel guilty? =\
I think the story is interesting in that Bobby has been cursed of losing every game he plays, and because of this Michael hired him to bring bad luck to the gamblers..the idea sure is interesting..I also think it’s quite funny how the two gambled; whether Jessica would leave the Casino after wining/losing money or not XD
