[Dicey Business] Episode 23

Even though Bosco says he doesn’t blame Michael or Bobby for causing all the bad moments in his past, I still feel that Bosco likes Michael more and is more on his side than Bobby =( Bosco looked up to Michael ever since they met; he probably trusts him so much.. >__< I have a bad feeling Michael is going to ruin the brother's relationship and take Bosco to his side *sigh* I felt really sad for Bobby when he was in prison and he waited in line to make a phone call; he was probably dying to make the phone call. Nice to see two people let him jump the queue as he waited anxiously. Would have been so frustrating if Jessica didn't switch on her phone, but glad she did.. It was so sad to see Bobby being helpless; he really wanted to donate his liver for Bosco, but turns out that his one is not suitable and Michael's one does..that's so unfair. Michael and Bosco seem to be getting more closer, while Boso's relationship with Bobby is drifting further away..Michael says he's doing it jsut for Bosco~ but I can't tell if he is doing it out of geninue good nature or not. If he as before all the blackmailing occurred, I would believe that Michael is just being a really nice guy. When bobby first heard that Bosco needed a liver, he really wanted to donate his to save his brother, while it did take a while for Michael to make that decision. Bosco treats Michael as his saviour, but his liver got injured because of protecting Michael anyway..Bobby also does not know that Bosco was stabbed because of Michael in the first place- I wonder if that would make any difference in their relationship anyway. I'm happy that Jessica is by his side though, and Florence is here to help him. Sorta odd that she's so rich and stuff, but the first time you see her, she's drunk walking down the street. I guess she was just unhappy then and had body guards with her from afar. I wonder how much she had to pay to bail Bobby out. I wonder if she's actually also hiding something herself. Next episode its the court trial case. I wonder how Bobby can get out of it. ~~Screencaps of other Moments~~

[Bobby and Jessica at the Church Scene 1]

Bobby and Jessica folding paper cranes to wish Bosco the greatest luck. Jessica receives a phone call from Benz saying they found a liver for Bosco and they are overjoyed

I thought this part was sorta funny how Jessica asked if he thought it was comfy (when hugging each other) and they both said it was | contrast to their first hug at the Gambling Addiction Support in the early episode XD but Jessica coments that his head is a bit heavy and Bobby gives her a massage.

I thought I needed a screencap of Florence, so here she is! lol

[Bobby and Jessica at the Church Scene2]

Jessica tells Bobby that it was Michael who had offered to donate his liver to Bosco.

[Bobby and Jessica Church Scene 3]

Jessica receives a phone call from Benz saying that the operation was successful.
Bosco calls Bobby, but their conversation was awkward.

Michael apologises to Bosco about the past and getting the girl (young Florence) to distract Bobby causing him to lose him at a young age. Bosco says its all in the past. He cannot hate him anymore.

Tavia visits Bosco (I was wondering if she’ll appear at all =P) She gives him the cranes Bobby had folded for him. I think Tavia is sorta dumb to ask Bosco whether Michael left when he saw her coming was because of Ronald guy. I highly doubt it xD

[The Price of Greed] Episode 13

Okay..Sammul called Kingdom Yuen (Bosco’s mother) “Si Jie” 0__0 That moment itself was very scary..its confirmed that he knows exactly what is going on. After 3 years+ bad things are starting to happen to Kate’s family. Seems like the same fate the other girl faced will reoccur. Sammul has found another target (i.e Vivien Yeo), I believe Kate’s father will also die, and her brother would most likely run away with lot of money, perhaps because no one believes in him.

An odd thing about this episode is the music box Sammul bought at the Charity auction. How come the music is different when he gave it to Kate? Does it have a music choice option or do things just go the way he wants it to…?

[Dicey Business] Episode 22

This episode left me with mixed feelings.. pride, sorrow, depressing, and touching..Its a moment of truth!! Bobby finds the courage to tell Bosco his past and who he really is!!

So happy for Bosco for winning!! =D Must of been his first ever yet greatest achievement for him. Great that everyone was there to witness the last game (except poor Jessica who was locked up), and he won fair-square because he was not able to see the shuffling of cards, thus the ability to memorise the cards…he did end up tricking his opponent (and everyone else in the audience it seems) to gamble the rest of his chips =) I hate it how Michael is being a two-face, appearing to really care about Bosco, but then scheme for him to lose. I am still a bit confused though, did Michael actually want Bosco to win (because he geniuninely wanted him to win but failed to let him memorise the cards because of pressure from the bald guy)? or simply using him to win, to make the bald guy in huge debt? (sounds more like the second one actually) =\ Was he counting on Bosco to win it?
Its sorta sad watching Bosco protect and thank Michael for everything when he was the one using him..I used to like all the main characters a lot…now everytime Michael does something ‘good’/appear to be caring etc seems to make me more angry because it all seems to be a lie to decieve people!!
Poor Bosco!! Why did he have to protect Michael~~Couldn’t he at least hear their conversation instead?~ The again, there’s already too much going on in his mind, not sure how he would take it knowing so much, but I rather he find out what Michael is really like..
That guy who threw snakes and rats onto the bald guy and burying him alive is so much worse than the bald guy, he’s too disgusting and inhuman!!…seems like he and Michael will be the real evil guys in the story now..what I found strange was who threw the bald guy out of the car after he was buried. Did someone save him? My first instinct was Florence but I sorta doubt it after some thought. Why would the people who buried him, unbury him again? odd.. was the guy just trying to show Michael the price of betrayl? Will he still use him against Michael in the future?

I do believe Florence’s character can help Bobby in the future and that she’s actually rich as she says she is~

~~Screencaps and Moments~~

Once again, Jessica’s family members prove to be really nice people..you can always count on them.

On the day of the finals, Michael delays Bosco from seeing the shuffling of cards.

Jessica trying to stop Bobby from finding Bosco because he doesn’t want him to get caught.

The two finalists: did they just assume Bosco was 25?

Bosco runs there, but he was too late. The shuffling was done; the game was ready to start. Bosco has gone very nervous throughout the game.

Michael spots Bobby in the audience. He didn’t seem pleased at all – you don’t call that he pruposely tried to kill him the first time??

The first person Bosco thanks is Michael. He does not realise Bobby is there.

Bosco drunk with his trophie XD

Jessica comforts Bobby

Bobby gets arrested..

Bosco thinks back at what Bobby had said and the feelings he had felt before..he realises Bobby really is his brother.

Protecting Michael, Bosco gets stabbed by the bald guy.

Buried the bald guy alive.

Jessica and Benz tell the prisoned Bobby that Bosco is seriously injured and that he could die

[The Price of Greed] Episode 12

Kate and Sammul’s characters get married in this episode. Despite all the effort Bosco put in to help Kate, he was unable to find any evidence to prove Sammul guilty, and makes it seem like he was just being silly. I was hoping Bosco could show everyone who Sammul really was, but stories like this usually let the downfall happen before people start regretting believing in the wrong people. What annoys me so much is Sammul’s character appears too fake and non-human! (Is it his acting?) My mum was saying that anyone would believe Sammul is a genuinely nice guy if he acted like that in front of everyone. What’s more creepy is that (in previous episodes) he prays at the Church with thoughts in his head saying he hopes the other girl wakes up to prove him innocent. No one hears this either; who is he trying trick? Himself? Towards the end of the episode it started getting exciting! (the wedding party), with Kingdom Yeun (Bosco’s mother)’s flashbacks and recognizing all those people!!! They are all in such a dangerous position!! All the bad guys have disguised themselves as rich people (e.g doctors etc) and even that Sister that helped Sammul lie!! =_= Ahhh!!! I reckon they are all there to protect Sammul~ its no wonder the scar was real!!! I’m guessing now that Sammul isn’t a real/normal person..perhaps drugged? or just a shell..how else can he act sooo well that everyone around him trusts him and all end up “liking” him? Maybe he himself actually does believe he genuinely in love with Kate~ programmed to do so? okies…maybe technology isn’t all that advanced yet, but these were some predictions..

[Dicey Business] Episode 21

Awww…I feel sorry for Bosco watching Tavia happily going out with the Ronald guy. Even though Tavia can easily see through Bosco and what he’s thinking, she doesn’t seem to be able to notice his crush on her =\ He tries to put a happy face, but guess he just can’t help it. Bosco seemed pretty down for the whole episode. . .On the other hand, Bosco is being used by the Michael without him knowing; Michael is so evil and selfish..scheming all the time, and trying to appear to be a good caring mentor to him.. Aww man, why does he have to be like that ?! What’s he trying to get out of it? Does he know Bobby is still out there?

Another thing is Florence’s character…is she reliable? I don’t know..I like to think she is one who can help Bobby clear his name but she disappeared? Also, her character seemed pretty devious 20 years ago..last seen was Michael paying her money to get out of sight..why is she still here? Is she as rich as she says she is? I have a feeling she is…and that guy who came by and paid for her meal seems like some sort of bodyguard..hm…
~~Scenes and Screencaps~~

Bobby realises he has landed in Hong Kong instead of the Phillipines.

Bobby gets frustrated and angry at Jessica to the point he yells at her saying she is in his way and he wished he has never had her as a friend. Jessica gets very upset by his words because he didn’t care about her feelings and everything she has done for him.

Bobby starts apologising and hugs Jessica, stopping her from leaving. I think this scene was quite cute since it happened the other way around in the previous episode where Jessica hugs Bobby to stop him from leaving.

Jessica and Bobby scared being caught..and preten to be asleep

Jessica is tired and borrows Bobby’s shoulder. What was Bobby thinking? xD

Bobby asks Jessica to phone Bosco, and whether Bobby misses Bobby.

Jessica’s family are scared, thinking there’s a ghost in the house. Jessica’s family is just too kind!!

Ronald asks Tavia for a date

Tavia prepares for her date and had asked Bosco to come over and help her choose clothes because she reckons gay guys have good tastes in clothes.

Tavia asks Bosco to go with her incase Ronald guy makes fun of her again and brings other people as well. Bosco doesn’t want to but does for her sake. As if Bosco really wants to go watch Tavia have fun with another guy..

Sad Bosco =( Left out.

Bosco tries to hide his feelings and pretends to smile and act happy.

But seeing tavia and Ronald together, he can’t.

Jessica flies over to Phillipines to help Bobby get Florence’s contact number in hope for her to tell the truth to Bosco about Michael. Jessica sees Bosco unhappy (because of Tavia) but assumes its because of him entering the gambling competition. Jessica tries to convince him not to enter and warn him the possibilities of Michael using him because he is a selfish person, knowing that after dating him. Bosco believes Michael isn’t like that and its different to relationships.

Another scene of Bosco looking upset (again I think its because of Tavia) . Bosco was acting happy when playing Poker with Michael in order to try bluff, but Michael mistakens him for showing his opponents the confidence he has in his cards and yells at Bosco, saying he hasn’t learnt a thing he taught.

Micheal flips over Bosco’s card to realise he was trying, and Bosco blames himself for not being good enough. =(

The day of the gambling competition. Michael brings Bosco a suit and helps put on his tie. Seeing tavia with Ronald again, Bosco feels sad.

Bosco too busy staring at the two did not notice Jessica calling out to him from behind. Jessica realises Bosco likes Tavia (because he kept looking at the two) and is in a love triangle.

Michael and Jessica meet after she went on her holiday.

The audience is getting nervous while watching the competition.

Bosco makes it further into the game. ^^ I just hope there won’t be a down fall for him in the next episodes because of Michael ><

[I missed episode 1 and 2..]

After watching episodes 3-10, what can I say about it? The series is so-so. The cast isn’t all that great, even though Bosco is there. So far I think the storyline is narrow-focused. I’m still not sure where this story is heading; what the story is based around (for example, Dicey Business- Casino, At Home with Love- Real Estate etc) and its already half-way through the series. Who is paying the price of greed? Sammul’s character is the greedy deceptive evil guy, but what price does he pay? Everyone around him does and suffers instead. The only other side one I can see is Kate’s step mother. I really did not like Shirley’s performance here..or her character. She was plain annoying and seems like she’s just doing random gentures rather than proper body language. I did not feel the same when watching Chilam Cheung’s performance in Return of Cockoo. She was just not likeable. The whole thing about her playing the violin and giving up entering the competiton because she realised her dream was to stay with Bosco was ridicious..I did not feel any sympathy for her and thought the whole thing with everyone on the streets clapping and following Shirley playing the violin was lame.. I also thought it was so silly how she became a teacher ..how can she teach if the students can’t even understand her? Shirley’s character seems to exaggerate a lot too. I preferred watching Kate’s storyline more. At first I was wondering how she can be so in love with Sammul’s charcter only being her financee, until we find out about the other girl and how he decieves people its no wonder she believes in him so much. Its also very stupid in that they found a photograph Sammul had taken with the other girl and he just simply denied it was him and they couldn’t arrest him, what the? ?? There’s no technology at that time to have photoshopped or mucked around with the photo, and other people found the pho. How can he get away with it just like that ?? Like, in other series, if he was actually innocent, he would probably have been arrested and it would be up to him to prove himself inncocent. Also, all those people who pointed to him saying he is the same guy became quiet after Sammul started telling them off… =__= What’s wrong with them?

The sister who told Bosco and Kate that Sammul did have Cancer is very suspicious as well.. could she be Sammul’s mother or someone trying to protect him? That reminds me; didn’t Sammul’s character say he had cancer? How come he doesn’t appear to be dying anymore?
Such frustration watching this..

EDIT:

After watching the whole series, I went back to watch episode1 to realise how nicely the episode was put together!! It was a very interesting episode!! A lesson learnt~ its important to watch the first episode to know what’s going on..XD

[Dicey Business] Episode 20

Bosco trying to make Tavia’s brother and sisters guess which hand has the thing.

Bosco fails to trick the kids…ehhee~ Bosco is just too innocent

Tavia grabs Bosco to pick clothes with her.

Guess Ronald didn’t take Bosco’s request seriously..instead it looks like another opportunity to make fun of her; all of the people were really slack to her. I can’t believe Tavia would go do the dance thing and make a fool of herself so she can gain popularity..if I were her, I would have left right away. They made her do her topless incidence twice…It was so obvious that girl is putting her down..poor thing =[ The other sad thing is, Tavia still wants to go after him..

Tavia’s ‘date’ with Ronald guy. So lame how that gil takes her seat and Ronald started driving away before Tavia even got in the car..geez..that’s so mean..wouldn’t even call that a friend.

Bosco goes to comfort Tavia.

Tavia does not find out that it was Bosco who had asked Ronald to go out with her. Thank goodness. Though Tavia still blames him for not wishing her luck.

Tavia asks Bosco how can you make a guy like a girl. Bosco says that if he likes someone, he will like them from first glance. (ehehe~~ hint hint Tavia!! XD)

Tavia says that its unfortunate that he is gay or probably a lot of girls would like him, including herself.

Tavia asks Bosco to piggy-back her.

Looks like the bald guy is sucking up to the other guy; Michael trying to gain his favour as well. Maybe Michael can get out of the mess through him? On another note, the girl on the right looks like some other dealer at the casino..

From Bosco’s advice, Tavia tried Plan B. can you guess what it is? XD

Michael tells Bosco to practice deceving people, and tells him to try convince a man to believe that a certain set of lotto numbers is the actual one.
Bosco fails..

yay! Jessica is back on scene! So glad Jessica found Bobby (how did he land from Phillipines to China? Is it really that close?) , but seems like she’s still trying to defend Michael by stopping and delaying Bobbby from going back to Phillipines…*sigh* Bobby is in such a dangerous position…

Jessica taking photos while doing volunteering

After lyingin hospital for months, a miracle occurred when Jessica cleaned his face (drawings done by the litte kids all over his face). Bobby opens his eyes..

Jessica finds out about the situation..

Bosco watches Tavia trick a women the lotto figures as Michael had asked, and she succeeds.

Bosco asks Tavia to give back the money to the women. Tavia says that Bosco was very manly and once again states how unfortunate he was gay, and he replies that he isn’t. Tavia said that Bosco was good at deceiving because for that moment it seemed like he was saying the truth (hahah..sure..as if Bosco can lie..he was being honest. He isn’t gay..wonder when Tavia will find out)

Bobby is angry that Jessica is in his way and delaying him from reuniting with his brother, lying to him with excuses.

Bobby requests that she give him money so he can try sneak back to Philiopines himself.

Jessica blurbs out that Bosco has accepted Michael as his master and he’s really happy.

I thought Jessica was helping him for real here, until the weird silly music came on while Bobby was on the boat -___- I wonder when will Bobby make it back…

[Dicey Business] Episode 19

**sigh** I don’t like where this story is heading.. Jessica is no longer in the scene, and Bobby has disappeared =( Its been 2 months and seems like Bosco doesn’t really care about Bobby anymore =(
How could Michael be so smart as to catch Bobby hiding in the car boot? And how did Bobby even get in there? How did he plan to get out?

The whole time Michael was beating up Bobby, his excuse did not seem that strong for him to do so, so I was thinking the whole time that maybe Michael only wanted to save Bobby and throw him in the ocean instead of waiting for the bald guy to drown him with heavy stuff..but the way he beat him was like wanting him to DIE , what if Bobby really got killed !!? I mean, what are the chacnes of survival? I reeeally hate Michael’s character!! Every time he appears on screen now he makes me angry..what’s more disturbing is the way looks at Bosco when he found out that he can really memorise the cards. What is Michael scheming!!??I wish he can stay away from Bosco!! You can tell Michael wants to use him >___< and Bosco still thinks he's a good person..argh..Also disappointed that Bosco chose to believe Michael over Bobby by accepting him as his Master... T_T What bad influence....Michael is teaching him to gamble!! He's trying to change the Innocent Bosco!! I can't bare to watch what he would turn into without Bobby being there to guide him.. >< Bosco on the other hand seems to be socialising well with the other fellow dealers, including Ronald (Eric Lee). Ronald's a nice guy and I quite liked it when he was going against Michael mainly because I don't like Michael's character anymore.. At least Ronald plays fairly with Bosco. I hope Tavia doesn't get really disappointed though.. ~~Screencaps~~

Michael finds Bobby hiding in the car boot recording their conversation.

Bosco tells Tavia how he believed in Bobby, and felt a sense of security when bobby held his hand and when bobby hugged him. A sense of familiarity.

Bosco tells the Ronald guy he looks up to Michael.

Tavia appears asking whether they are going swimming

Tavia asks the Ronald guy to help rub sunscreen on her back.

Tavia gets annoyed that the Ronald guy has turned to another girl. Another pushes tavia in the water and Bosco jumps in to save her.

Bosco asks Ronald to do him a favour and go out with Tavia at least once. Ronald said he would if Bosco can be better than him in something.

Bosco decides that they would pick cards out. Whoever gets the higher won wins. The first card Bsoc pulls out is the Ace of Spades. Ronald said that one didn’t could and went for a few more times.

The look on Ronald guy’s face “You can’t be serious..”

Ronald guy is amused and says he admits defeat.

Bosco socialising with his fellow dealers and once again shows off his memorising skills. Michael witnesses this.
