I thought I’d do some screencaps from the opening, since there aren’t many screencaptures or pictures you can find for [The Price of Greed] on the Internet; and since its a warehoused series, TVB doesn’t have an official webpage for it either. So a special treat for [The Price of Greed] fans, here you go!

Warning: Ending Spoiler!! [All my posts contain spoilers, but this is the ending, so an extra warning message ^__^]

I actually enjoyed the 2nd last episode more than this one. Maybe its because Michael just went nuts and his character seemed sorta fake (or was it just his crying scenes?). One part I did feel bad for Michael was knowing his mother had died- she was a funny lady; but the saddest thing was that her accident was caused by Michael’s phone call, telling her that ‘her own son is gone’, hence she went looking for him, sneaking out and getting run over by a car. Feels very tragic..on the day he thought he got what he really wanted was the day he learns of his mother’s death. He realises he has lost everything..except Jessica?

Michael trying to be happy he got ONISAC, but also knowing his mother has died..sad.

I guess the biggest impact that caused Michael to change was Benz and his death. Thinking back to the times when Bobby was supposedly killed by him, Michael did not seem to be very sad. I guess to Michael, Bobby was a friend he could use, while Benz was his great friend who just made him feel so guilty and with the biggest regret.
I found it weird that Michael and Bobby became friends again when he went to jail, and Bobby continued to visit him. Makes me wonder if Michael really learns his lesson. He had to lose everything and those important people to him before he realises? I thought it was funny seeing the bald guy in jail acting like a monkey though. Michael also mentioned there was another guy next to him in jail who he could chat with so wouldn’t get bored. I wonder how long Michael would be in jail for..
After Jessica’s friend went off to gamble again (in some previous episodes) even after her husband left her, we don’t see her again. I think that might be one lesson to be learns, and that is nothing good comes from gambling, and as long as you don’t quit, there’s no hope (in her case, her husband won’t come back to her). Sad that after all that Jessica said to her, she won’t change.
I wanted to see some after-talk between Bosco and Michael. Did Michael ever care about Bosco? Michael could tell Bosco liked him more than Bobby, and trusted him over anyone else in the world. I would think that Michael even at a minimal should have genuinely cared for Bosco, but by his reaction, it doesn’t seem like it at all. Michael used Bosco the whole way…
We also don’t see Tavia actually forgive Bosco, except “3 years later” they are back together. A little disappointed because it feels rushed. Early in the episode, Bosco goes to find Tavia to beg for her forgiveness but she doesn’t really seem moved by what he had to say so..hm.. I’m happy for them having a happy ending together though =)

[Bosco begs for forgiveness]

~~Other Screen captures ~~

[The final showdown- Bobby and Michael gamble over Jessica]

This scene was quite exciting..its obvious Bobby would have the better luck =) Of course, this scene does have some exaggerations like the burning rope, and the actual cards they got.

Bobby sees Benz. Michael gets arrested.

Bobby listens to Michael giving in to the police and that his happiest moment was only when they had hot pot.

[Ah Wing (Benz) ‘s funeral]

Florence holds the handbag Benz bought her. It was his first present to her, and the last. Bobby tells her that knowing him for 10 years, this is the first time Benz bought a girl a present.

Jessica tells Bobby she will be going on a long holiday. She does not plan to keep in contact or switch on her phone; nor tell anyone where she’ll be going. She said she’ll send back postcards to report her safety. Bobby tries to convince her to stay.. Jessica pulls the ghost face again before she leaves. I guess Jessica still can’t really face Bobby even though Bobby doesn’t mind.

[One year later in Jail- Bobby visits Michael]

[2 years later…the Ending]

Bosco and Bobby set up their own BBQ store by the beach and have decided not to work for Casinos anymore. Isn’t that kind of a waste of talent?

Bosco with their son.

Bobby with his nephew. It was so cute how Bosco’s son started pointing, then said “Wan” (Clouds, i.e Jessica’s character’s name)

What I think of the Ending?

For those who have not seen it, I think you can tell what’s happening in the screen captures above.
I would like to think that Bobby does end up with Jessica and that the girl at the end was really her. TVB likes to leave endings like this nowadays..with a bit of an open ending much like [The Price of Greed]. Either way, I’m sticking to thinking that she does come back to him =) Too bad there is a possibility that she may not be Jessica and that we don’t know how long she may have left for. Even if it was Jessica, we don’t know if she has been able to forgive herself and be back with Bobby..For this whole episode, you can clearly see how much Jessica means to him. He misses her too much.. I want them to end up together!! =3

I just think that the ending was a little rushed. I would have liked to see a few more parts with Bosco. Bosco and Tavia’s relationship. Bosco and a talk with Michael, and one between Bosco and Bobby. I feel that something just feels missing there.

The series overall?

I quite enjoyed this series! All the actors were really good; I’m quite impressed with the cast and acting. There’s heaps of character development through the series with almost all characters and you can see them grow and change to be a different person which was done smoothly, so realistic. You also got to see different sides of actors, with Jessica, Bosco, Tavia, playing such a different roles from their usuals. I did enjoy the first half of the series over the second-half though. The story starts to go down-hill after Michael robs the Casino. I guess because the very cool, likable Michael has changed and so has Bosco..

If I was so rate the first half of the series, I would have given it 10/10, but considering the latter half, I’d drop it down to 9.5/10

[Dicey Business] Episode 34

A really exciting episode!!

I quite enjoyed this episode; especially the part where Bosco and Bobby try to escape from the bad guys. I think how the phone in Bobby’s pocket acted as a shield was used before in some other TVB series as well (though his arm got shot and didn’t seem like it hurt that much later). Bosco finally realises what kind of person Michael and his ally are and finally sees who is actually good and who isn’t. Bosco finally accepts his brother =) Before watching this part, and hearing about how much Bosco would end up hating his brother, I thought he would have hated him more; even wanting him to die. Thank goodness it wasn’t to that extreme and Bosco even stood in front of Bobby to protect him when the bad guy stuck his gun at Bobby ^^ The two got so lucky that they landed in a passing-by rubbish truck when they jumped off a high cliff. Too bad they were too late to stop the agreement in buying the useless piece of land and as Michael planned; Michael took the majority of the shares in ONISAC.
Gotta say this episode had quite a bit of violence (mainly referring to the part Bobby and Michael were fighting each other) but I guess it wasn’t as violent as the first time Michael was killing Bobby heaps early in the series.
In this episode, Benz doesn’t make it and dies, but his speech was very sad and touching. I even felt sorry for the evil Michael who was with him in the car who cried saying he’ll listen to him and do anything he asked; their best memory of having hot pot together… Michael ended up burying Benz in the middle of the night in some unknown forest..

Ronald’s father also dies. I knew it was coming anyway but I was happy for him to leave the world thinking his dream came true. He could rest in peace and I think that’s all he wanted. It was better for him this way, than die knowing his dream has shattered..

[Dicey Business] Episode 33

I’m also proud to see Jessica did not choose to be with Michael, even though she broke up with Bobby =D If she went with him after knowing what a selfish guy he was; that would be very disappointing.

More exciting stuff in this episode… Benz accidentally finds out Michael ‘s evil scheme of taking over ONISAC from Leanne and as a consequence, he gets run over by a car T_T ahh!!!! aww..poor thing..even though he was a annoying character through the whole series, he was a nice guy overall. Michael actually left him and drove away!! even though it was after some thought he drove back to get him. Michael ended up taking him to some dodgey doctor’s place hoping to save him, but not willing to take him to the hospital for real treatment. The scene was so disgusting I won’t take any screencaps of it, but the room was all green and the way that one guy was trying to save was like torturing Benz instead.

Looks a bit unrealistic than Florence’s character would like Benz but anyways..lol At least someone actually cared about him that way. Benz actually wanted to ask Leanne where he could get that handbag for her. The two probably could have became a couple. Who would have known he’d find out from her Michael’s scheme. The last time he spent with Florence was the lunch they had together. I believe the last scene Ben z had with Bobby was when Bobby was telling him he was still angry at him for saying such things to Jessica. The last scene Benz had with Bosco was at the Casino asking whether he knew about Michael’s scheme where Bosco lied. I believe Benz won’t make it..all of those moments are the last.. so sad..

In this episode, Bosco also accidentally overhears Michael and his evil ally’s plans of taking over ONISAC when he was in the bathroom. I would have thought that Bosco would have realised it was wrong to do it, but instead he was easily influenced by Michael and believed it was okay.

Two more episodes to go!!

~~Other Screencaps~~

Bosco tries to apologise to Tavia and is concerned about their baby.

[Dicey Business] Episode 32

In this episode, Bobby finds out that Jessica has been seeing Michael all along; yet he is still so nice to her..he didn’t blame her one bit, or say anything nasty to her, but simply letting her do what she wanted as long as she was happy and telling her what a wonderful person she was..I was so moved by that little part at the end. I would have thought Jessica would see how Bobby was such a better choice than Michael and went back to him instead..

I can’t stand seeing Michael on-screen anymore; I feel sick seeing what he’s doing. I can’t believe he’s back at the casino =__=” he robbed that Casino, he shouldn’t have any right to be there. In addition, Bosco is back there too and pretending to get along with Bobby.. They are bound to do more bad things..like eat up the Casino >_< Bobby better watch out! He doesn't really have Florence (or anyone) to back him up now that she's over at Hong Kong. Bosco can't think properly anymore its sad. He can't tell whether he's doing the right or wrong thing. He even says that Bobby's words make it seem like he cares about him, but his actions don't match up. Does Bosco even realise that Bobby's words are for his own good? Bobby probably knows something is up with Bosco; Bosco really hated him and even cut their brotherly connections, but now suddenly acting like they are all fine etc. In this episode, its also Bobby's characters' birthday and the others fly over to the Philippines to celebrate with him. I thought Bosco's present wasn't thoughtful at all...makes it seem like money can get him anything. Seriously, Bobby isn't that old, nor married to get one of those..You don't give that to your brother right..? Jessica couldn't face Bobby so much that she didn't even want to go and see him for his birthday. When she was there, she wasn't happy at all and even wanted to leave earlier. She looked very stressed and guilty... I wonder if Bobby even noticed. Michael is sooo evil..after sleeping with Jessica (for 'n' amount of times) he deliberately rang up Bobby saying he has something important to discuss about the new project; but actually telling him that Jessica has choice him over Bobby..argghhhh!! I feel sorry for Jessica as well!! He makes it seem like the best for her; he is too selfish! How could she ever face Bobby again?? I'm surprised that Benz actually told Bobby it was him that convinced her to go back with Michael..

[Dicey Business] Episode 31

Bosco is such a jerk!! He believed Tavia was that type of person because Michael had told him. He believes Michael over anyone in the world, including himself. He didn’t give Tavia time to explain herself; does Bosco not realise it was Michael who should have told him so earlier (he does not blame Michael one bit). Does Bosco not realise why it was Michael giving her the money?

I liked the scene where Bobby was versing Bosco in gambling, and as expected, Bobby wins because of skills and not just pure luck. He requested Bosco not to see the shuffling of cards, so he could not memorise them. Bosco must of been so angry to lose to Bobby, but I don’t really care lol I also liked how Bobby finished the game by deliberately not following so that Bosco could win back all those that he had lost.

Bosco, being the total jerk and all announces in front of everyone (and published on the papers as he had said) that he and Bobby have cut their connections and are no longer brothers. I find that a bit strange with the publishing part, since why would anyone care about them not being brothers anymore? Also, they were not publicly known to be brothers anyway, and he has always kept his name the way it was.

[Dicey Business] Episode 30

I believe Bobby did the right thing in notifying the police of the Underground Casino Bosco, Michael etc had set up, even if it meant having Bosco hate him more. Is Bosco just completely blind..? When Bobby finds out, he confronts Bosco, but Bosco blames it back on him for his past and the suffering he had experienced (yet he is not angry at Michael). Bosco also tells Bobby that if he plans to call the cops, he’ll be the first one to stand forward and admit it (but when Bobby does; he ends up hiding and runing away with Michael..so much for that talk and trying to act cool)

Its so obvious Jessica still loves Michael. Another wrong move made by Jessica is taking the ring when Michael gave it to her. Jessica walks away with the ring..To make it clear to him, she should have just thrown it away, not accept it!

It was also very clear in this scene that Michael was more imprtant to Bosco than Tavia.

Jessica falls for Michael again *sigh..*

Sorta sad because even Jessica tells Michael that he’s doing it only to take revenge against Bobby by taking her away from him etc, she knows what kind of evil person Michael is; but it seems like she has chosen him over Bobby =(
Benz’ theory is that Jesssica can turn Michael back to his old self. Bosco is important to Bobby. All will go well. How would that work ? ? What is Michael takes Jessica and Bosco? Who would Bobby have left..?? When Benz told Jessica that he saw him with Michael, Jessica was desperately pleading Benz not to tell Bobby and that she’ll never do that again..I would have thought Benz would make her keep her words; but instead? Benz tells her that its fine. I can’t believe Benz actually directed Jessica to go back with Michael. That’s so ridiculous!! That’s sooo slack to Bobby! I still reckon Benz likes Michael over Bobby. I remembered how Benz reacted when Bobby tried to tell him that Michael did it to him and he wouldn’t believe; yet when he finds out Michael really did rob the casino; he doesn’t change the way he sees Michael . Come to think of it, Michael was involved in robbing the Casino..then how come when they found out they didn’t arrest him?

After [The Price of Greed], the new series airing next Monday is The Brink of Law! I heard lots of great comments about the series, some say its just as good as [Dicey Business]. I do look forward to this series ^^ we get to see an evil Shirley for once =P
