In this episode, Steven successfully gains Michelle’s trust. Firstly, he helps Stephen by introducing a medical practioner and he is recovering well. Next, he successfully helps her transfer large sum of money into his account; she tested him by sending fake cops and he doesn’t reveal anything. Finally, Steven successfully helps Vin escape after the police tried to arrest him. Steven and Bernice also break up in this episode because of problems in their relationship. Its interesting to see Steven try to get close to Michelle, and Bernice trying to get close to Michelle’s husband..perhaps Bernice isn’t really that kind of person and is doing the same thing as Steven, being undercover for the police force to gather enough evidence. I hope that’s what it is…
To all my dear [K for TVB] visitors: Kung Hei Fat Choi !
May the year of the piggy bring great health, prosperity, peace and luck! ^^
Whether I watch the series or skip it, t doesn’t really affect me. So in my spare time I might as well try enjoy it. Funny enough, there were scenes in the series where I found it quite funny. One was when the three-eye god came to earth and was talking to Nancy and Yuen Wah was there. The three-eyed god made Yuen Wah unable to hear their conversation. Yeun Wah, thinking something has blocked his ears was so hilarious..the expression and reaction was quite funny hehe..
Just finished watching episode 15, and since this series is coming to an end I wanted to put up an entry. The more I watch it, the more I like it a bit more. Or maybe its just getting closer to the end and some characters are changing for the better now. I really want Joey and Linda to get together, but looks like Nancy is always making things bad for them..call her a heavenly figure sometimes makes me wonder what qualities are need for that because she keeps playing tricks on people. Can’t she see that Joey really loves Linda? Why does she have to keep getting in the way?
In this episode, Joey finds out that he has mistakenly blamed Linda; so tried to apologise and ask for forgiveness.

Here Joey made dinner for Linda (and the family), but once Nancy told Linda that he made it, she refused to eat and walked away.

On their family day out picnic, Joey cooks chicken wings for Linda and wanted to give it to her. When Nancy sees him approaching, she uses her magic and makes the Chicken Wing burnt. Linda gets angry at him again.

After finding out from his brother that Linda liked a certain flower, he wanted to go down a slopey hill and pick it for her. Seeing this, Nancy casts her magic again and makes him fall over, picking the flower while tumbling down the hill. Linda quickly uses her magic and saves him. He gives her the flower, but she doesn’t want it.
The key to mending their relationship was when Linda saw Joey putting a lot of effort repairing her jewlery/music box he broke when they argued. It was her favourite music box and Joey tried to buy the same one back but couldn’t find it anywhere. His hands were bleeding by the end of it but I think for him, it was worth it =)

The two ended up making up by sharing Sweet potatoes together.

At work, when Linda saw Joel assign Joey and the other girl worker (who has a crush on Joey and is constantly all over him) to go to Macau for some business, Linda gets very jealous, but when he looks over to her, she pretends she doesn’t care.
That night while cooking Sweet Potatoes, Linda thinks back of them happy times they spent together.

She also learns from the other guy what Joey had done for her previously, begging him to give Linda another chance and to apologise for her.
Night was approaching, the next day would be Joey’s birthday but he was by himself at Macau. Joey planned to take a night trip back to HongKong to spend it with Linda then coming back the next morning. On the other hand, Linda caught the ship to Macau, buying Sweet Potato and hoping to give him a surprise by spending his birthday with her. Just when you think things are going well, Joey bumps into Winnie and Linda mistakens him again..

When I see Joel’s character, he reminds me of his role in [Glittering Day] Don’t like him but he suits his role I guess.
On the other hand, these two (below) are quite funny as well. I’m surprised she can’t recognise his voice though =P

I made some screencaptures from the opening of Heavenly In-laws. The quality of the file wasn’t that good so it was hard to screen capture a lot of them. Hope you’ll enjoy the ones I do have =)

Episode 16 was filled with suspense!
Michelle sent a guy to kill off Ron, and he does eventually succeed in stabbing him, but was luckily saved by Steven who came by just in time. As a result, the guy ends up leaving behind Kenneth’s key ring he bought for Bernice which leads Steven on suspicion that there is a possibility the guy was actually the same guy who had murdered Kenneth. It was also obvious that the guy was after Ron’s life more than a simple robbery because he chased him down to the kill him after stabbing him already. Working with
Eventually, Ron’s father finds out and worrying for Ron’s safety from Michelle, he wants Ron to move to New York with him. Ron’s father has some serious health problems, but wants to take the operation once they have moved.
I felt that Ron’s father was in real danger. . .from Ron’s real father (the uncle) or Michelle. I feared for the whole episode 17 that he may die..if he died, Ron wouldn’t have to move away..it seemed like Ron didn’t want to move overseas; he knew his girlfriend (Kate) didn’t want to either; and Stephen wanted him to continue with the business. Its also very obvious that Ron’s uncle (real father) would do whatever it took to have Ron stay by his side, including getting rid of him *sigh*. Throughout the episode, he pretended he was stressed with the company, tired etc. However, as I had predicted, Ron’s father did end up dying from his illness because of the argument he had with Ron’s uncle(real father). After falling onto the fall and trying to reach out for his medicine, Ron’s uncle didn’t end up giving him the medicine which caused him to die…such a selfish evil man!! argh..!! Felt really sad..another nice guy has died, but somehow I knew he was going to die. Its the third death in the series so far..at the funeral, it made more sense that the grave wasn’t done yet (unlike in Dicey Business where the grave of Benz and Michael’s mother was already made in a short time) I was glad that Ron’s mother came back as well..
On to Bernice’s story.. I think there’s already a foreshadow created in that there would be problems in Bernice and Steven’s relationship. I think her character is acting a bit ‘different’ to towards Ron’s uncle.. Firstly with the dancing, then during dinner with Steven and his family, she agrees to his sister that he doesn’t give her any gifts after they have dated. Later, she also tells him that these few days she wants to concentrate on her job and won’t have time for him. Advancing her careerer, sticking to Ron’s uncle and gaining his favour..
*Screencaptures upon request =)*
The truth about Ron and his real father comes out to everyone on Ron’s father’s birthday. To ensure Ron’s mother was telling him the truth, Ron’s uncle (real father) did a DNA test, and so did Michelle eventually, finding out the truth as well. If I was Ron, I’d probably try to do the same thing: want to move out with my father and protect him; stay away from his uncle(real father).
I wouldn’t have guessed that Ron’s ‘uncle’ actually pretended to go to hospital to stop the situation..I don’t particularly like the uncle (must be his facial expression), and I do prefer Ron staying with his current ‘father’, because he’s generally a nicer man who doesn’t scheme so much. I also feel sorry for him, focussing his time on antiques etc to get his mind off his sadness about his wife leaving him for all these years..
Shirley causes most of the troubles..she’s always putting the flames between everyone; always scheming to use everyone to take revenge for her. She did it to Vin to get send people to harass Kate. Shirley was also the one to tell Michelle about seeing Ron with his mother, and seeing Michelle’s husband getting stuff to test Ron’s DNA. Now she is making Michelle think that Ron already knew about his relationship with his ‘uncle’ and purposely caused Steven’s accident so he can take over the company =_=;; She also lies to Michelle about the way she is treated by Kate in the company because Kate is Ron’s girlfriend..
Out of all this mess, I feel sorry for Stephen the most. I’m not really attached to Ron or Steven, but him for some odd reason. Very heatbreaking when he started typing “I want..”, and his mother (Michelle) gladly asking what it was. “I want to die”. Stephen was happily recovering until his stupid brother goes telling him of his serious condition and that he will eventually go blind. It must of shattered all of his hopes.. I wish Michelle knew it was vin who told him. Its evident that Ron really cares about Stephen, and doesn’t really want to take the position of CEO, but temporarily helping him, wanting him to recover soon so he can be off, even bringing in a CD with recent designs to help him keep in touch with the trands. Ron is also seen to know him well, understanding what he was trying to say when Stephen’s brother and father couldn’t. I hope Stephen doesn’t end up hating Ron.
~~Episode 15 Screencaptures ~~
On another note, in episode 14, I felt very proud of Steven’s sister (played by Yoyo) because of how well she handled the situation with Vin now that she was working as a waitress. She has changed heaps and no longer gets angry easily. She stays calm and smiles, providing the best service she could no matter what Vin said to her. If only she was this nice when Ha Yu was still around.. ^^
This series is getting more interesting..
Half this episode revolved around Steven’s accident with Ron feeling guilty and trying to make it up for him by taking care of him; the other being Ron meeting his mother and finding out the truth to why she had left him before he even turned 1 months year old. The story leads on well as Ron was telling Michelle how he had always wanted a loving mother like her. I liked watching the time Ron spent with his mother. I knew something was suspicious as Ron’s mother kept trying to contact Steven’s father, saying he’ll definitely lend her money. I thought that maybe he paid her money to leave Ron and his father in the first place. It turns out that Steven’s father (her brother-in-law) had got drunk and raped her; Ron actually the son of his uncle (Steven’s father)! ! If Michelle finds out….Ron may be doomed 0__0!!
*I find it strange that the employees for the fashion company would be gossiping about other workers during work time and so loudly. Anyone would be able to hear and they dare even talk about Steven, Shirley and other members of the family at the family business.
It also appears that Shirley is trying to go after Steven, taking advantage of him while he’s disabled and trying to get close to him. I find that very weird since they are close cousins; I even find her love for Ron weird and they are more distant ones. Strange.
I do feel sorry for Steven’s character, especially the part where they are moving him back home and he looks at the stairs in his house as he’s unable to walk them anymore. I really do hope he’ll recover soon. His brother (played by Vin Choi) was asking to be yelled at by being overly “proud” that he helped his brother find suitable nappies -__- He is such an idiot..
