This episode felt really short..

Selena, Benny and Yuen Wah make it to the scene just in time and manages to convince Benny’s parents to free Shirley and Steven. After using false evidence, they were able to ‘prove’ that Shirley and Benny did not get married ‘properly’ because of the chicken that Steven was carrying during the wedding ceremony; so Shirley did not do anything wrong, or have an “affair” with another man.

They managed to convince Benny’s parents to accept Selena and their wedding was approved ^__^

In addition, Shirley, her friends, and Steven were redeemed and no longer under obligation to work for them.

On the other hand, Shirley, Steven and Yuen Wah were not able to attend their ceremony because they wanted to find Shirley’s mother. They suspected that the evil fortune teller has left and returned back to the city with her so they take off.

After Mimi has returned to the palace she starts acting really weird..I think she’s gone into a deep depression because of Benny; not eating or doing anything except locking herself in her room and addicted to smelling Inscent burners.. I thought she would have tried to ask the King to cancel her wedding arrangement with Joel but she didn’t even attempt. She seemed emotionless and always holding onto the butterfly that Benny has given ‘her’. She must feel lonely since Selena isn’t with her either..the one she loves, and her ‘best friend/sister’ isn’t with her..
On the night of the Princess and Joel’s wedding, the princess gets hallucination and sees Benny instead of Joel! She is really happy that him. He treats her nicely in return until she calls out “Yeung Goon” (Benny’s character’s name) to him. Joel realises that the Princess is still in love with Benny and out of anger he tosses the glass onto the floor, shattering Mimi’s dream and goes insane. They get into a fight and Joel attempts to rape her when she takes the candle and throws in his pants; burning him up…

Turns out that the evil fortune telling guy (without Joel knowing) has added in poison/drugs into the Inscent Burner that the Princess used. The massive consumption caused the Princess to act the way she did~~ After examining the princess, the imperial doctors realised the Princess had taken the drugs, and Joel takes this opportunity to seek revenge against Benny..

On the night of Benny and Selena’s wedding ceremony just before they were able to complete their marriage, the imperial guards along with Joel interrupts their wedding, claiming that their inscent burners have poison in them!!

The next episode preview looks like a disaster!!! =( Everything just goes so bad..

Another interesting episode~

Shirley loses sight of her mother, but the evil fortune teller guy finds her instead, calling her “Si Mui”. It turns out her father was the Evil Fortune Telling guy’s “Si Fu”, which really puts things in context..I mean, who else can this evil fortune telling guy come from? Seeing that Rebecca has lost her memories, he takes her back and attempted to learn more about the contents of the Book of destiny from her. Later, Yuen Wah and Shirley find Rebecca, calling her “wife” and “mother” which causes Rebecca to be in confusion. After learning that Rebecca was married to Yuen Wah, the evil fortune telling guy starts telling her lies and bad-mouths Yuen Wah and her daughter Shirley, saying they are bad people. In the past, the evil guy had fallen in love with Rebecca and thought that his Sifu would make the two a couple and pass the secrets to the Book of Destiny to him, but didn’t. After Rebecca’s father’s death, he learns that Rebecca left and married another man, not knowing it was Yuen Wah (who took on another name).

Benny and Steven appears to help each other and really get along well. In one instance, Benny and Steven dress up as girls ( they looked sooo bad!!), distracting the evil guy and Yuen Wah carried Selena on his back (with her covered) in order to lure the evil guy away, thinking he was trying to take Rebecca back. The plan worked and Shirley and her friend were able to successfully take her away. They took her to a field of grass and performed “Sit Dan” dancing to her, which she has taught them when they were young in hope for her to regain her memories. Some memories were coming back but all she knew in her mind was that she can’t reunite and doesn’t want to see them again, running away (back to the evil guy)..there’s something in her mind that won’t allow her to do so even though she doesn’t truly remember why. I couldn’t figure if she gained full memory and was just pretending or not..

On the other hand, Steven and Shirley try to help Benny and Selena elope since Benny’ parents refuse to let the two be together; nor for him to divorce Shirley. They believed that Shirley was able to protect Benny from all bad luck. In another sense, that way Shirley can also be free to be with Steven.
The two do end up escaping, but Shirley and Steven were left to face the consequences. They were set up and accused of having an affair (since Shirley is supposedly has married to Benny). The two denied the fact because it was obviously not true; but because Benny’s family were being unreasonable and stood on their grounds, Steven and Shirley openly admit that they love each other when Benny’s father asked. The family found it a disgrace and decided to kill the two off by the drowning them ..they were so unreasonable!! Their son Benny can happily live while Shirley suffers. So its ok if the man can love another women, but not ok for the women to like another man..traditional those days..*sigh*

At the moment before drowning them, Yuen Wah, Selena and Benny make it back just in time!

***On a side note: Looks like most of the scenes in the opening themevideo is already shown in the series and we’re only half way through~ I guess that way there would be less spoilers~

After running away, Mimi gets approached by two men and Joel comes along and saves her. Did he do that on purpose? XD Knowing she is the princess, he pretends he doesn’t know her true identity and has fallen in love with her for who she was lol She doesn’t seem interested in him anyway lol

After missing for days, Mimi sends Selena a letter where they meet at an old temple to talk. Mimi feels that Selena has betrayed her, deliberately going in between her and Benny when she trusted her. Selena tries to explain herself and begs for her forgiveness.
Mimi tells Selena that if she really meant what she said, she told Selena to cut her face so that Benny won’t like her anymore. To prove her loyalty, Selena takes the knife. Seeing Selena was going to cut her face, Mimi tries to stop her but her face gets cut anyway. At this moment, Benny runs in and seeing what he saw, he slaps Mimi on the face 0_0 Selena tells him to stop and ends up telling him that Mimi is actually the princess but Benny doesn’t care. Selena cuts her hair and tells Benny that she will never betray the princess so she would never love him…awww… Selena and Mimi leaves, leaving Benny behind… =(
After this incident, Benny is really hurt and becomes really upset and depressed…Seeing Benny like this, the evil fortune teller guy takes advantage of him and offers to do him a favour so that he’ll be able to see Selena again..This is a bad sign!! I think this is starting point of Benny turning evil later on, now that Benny trusts him and owes him a favour in return..

Following that guy’s instructions, Benny was able to find Selena ^__^ the two reunite with each other again~ The two were able to see each other again, and Selena explains to Benny how the Princess forgave her, knowing Selena remained loyal to her and that Selena and Benny were the ones in love. Mimi was so nice to Selena I was touched! The princess decides to step out of the love triangle and wishes Selena happiness with him. In order for her to leave the Kingdom, Mimi deliberately lies to the Queen (who has found them after Joel reported it) that Selena didn’t do her job properly in protecting her while they were out of the kingdom, so no longer wants Selena by her side..With that, Selena is set free and Mimi returns to the Palace with Joel and the Queen. Mimi didn’t complain about Joel to her mother yet..maybe she’s saving it later, or to the King? Or seeing that the Queen finds him quite decent..to me, I think Mimi just wanted to get away from the place..When she stood near the water and looked around, she looked really sincere~ very different from her usual self.. its like she sudden grew more to an understanding person..

Sometimes it makes me wonder whether that evil fortune teller guy really even did anything..I mean, they were bound to meet each other since Selena was free, wouldn’t they? Either way, I think Benny grateful towards that guy now..

On the other hand, in order to save Shirley, Yuen Wah’s true identity gets revealed when using a special technique to break though the force/trap/maze Shirley was in. Yuen Wah and Steven eventually get to Shirley just in time and Yuen Wah & Steven both gets injured in the process. Seeing how her father did all that to save her, she eventually accepts him= ) I gotta say it felt like a was pretty quick transition..but either way, I’m happy that Shirley does, and she learns from her father about the past..I’m a bit confused whether Steven actually likes Shirley or whether he’s still pretending..either way~ the two get along really well~ ^^

At the end of the episode, Shirley sees someone that looks like her mother..

*Steven tries to win Shirley’s heart and he successfully does through this episode ^^~ Too bad he’s only faking it..but maybe he will eventually fall in love with her, for real.

Shirley ends up waking Steven up and starts questioning to why he has the comb she threw away XD It was an old comb (though her favourite) and he even fixed it together with this clip. Steven tells her that he has liked her ever since he met her ~ and she gets freaked out and runs away, saying she’ll never like him! haha XD That was so funny~ Steven’s actions, Shirley’s reactions..hahah..she ends up throwing the comb down the well, breaking it again~ After learning that Steven got injured from ‘accidentally’ falling in the well, she finds her comb fixed again placed for her…she must be touched! XD

*The whole episode, Benny was trying to make Mimi think that the two of them weren’t meant to be together and that they don’t match but things don’t really turn out the way he had wanted. Benny was so slack to the princess! I was quite surprised for Shirley when Benny started defending Shirley rather than Mimi unlike the other day, yelling back at Mimi and telling her apologise to Shirley. He was hoping that Mimi wouldn’t take it and leave, bt instea, she actually listeneed to Benny and apologised to Shirley… Turns out that Mimi fell in love with him more, because he yelled at her and was telling her what to do (which she wasn’t use to at all if you can imagine) After finding out that Mimi can’t eat prawns because of allergy, he made the whole meal filled with prawns. But Mimi does it for Benny~~ and her faces goes itchy and red spots appear…I really didn’t like the way he was treating her..the poor princess~ even willing to work at Benny’s Inscent burner business and help make them~ Mimi is also very obedient to Benny’s mother and the two get along really well.

 Mimi insists she help out at the Inscent business, so Benny tells her that she has to wear Shirley’s apron. benny gets Shirley to teach her.

Shirley accidentally squirts brown stuff onto Mimi’s face because Mimi wasn’t holding up the container properly. The angered Mimi pulls Shirley onto the floor.


*The Seven Sisters Festival coming up, in which there were ‘fate bamboo’ containers.  People had to select a bottle each and keep it for the night. When time comes, you release the bottles~ there would be fireworks and they say each bottle has a pair~~ if you ended up with a matching pair to someone you love, it would mean you two were meant to be together. XD (as they say..lol) ~So! Benny ends up using this opportunity to sets things up, and tries to get the bottle that matches with Selenas’ so when they open it out, they would have matching fireworks, meaning they were meant to be together, while indirectly telling Mimi that he’s a better match with Selena..

However, during that night, Joel sees Mimi as a girl and realises that she’s actually the princess. He thinks that Benny deliberately got the matching one with the Princess to win her heart so Joel ends up messing things up switching the bottles around, Benny ends up with the same pair with the Princess…seems like Benny is fated to be with the Princess, doesn’t it? He does all that and things go back that way..

On the other hand, Steven does something similar and ends up opening matching fireworks with Shirley! And seems like Shirley fell for it~~ XD Other people start to spread rumours about the two… and Steven defends Shirley and he ends up hurting himself again…Shirley doesn’t seem to hate him anymore and starts liking him, saying they can be friends..
*Steven’s plan did work and he managed to convince Shirley to see her father with him ^^ Unfortunately, the evil fortune teller finds out that Shirley is Yuen Wah’s daughter and captures her..

Mimi took her and Benny’s birthdate to a fortune teller and he said they do not match. Mimi refuses to believe it. Benny tells Mimi straight in the face that he never loved her. Selena tried to stop Benny from saying anymore but Mimi realises the one Benny loves was Selena..The angry and hurt Mimi slaps Selena in the face and runs off..

Episode 6

sigh..Ha Yu tries to help the two (Michelle and Susanna) make up, but ended up making matters worse! Geeeez, everything Susanna said to Michelle was so slack!! If I was Michelle I would slap her in the face. What makes me more angry is that Ha Yu doesn’t do anything! He should yell back at her..its like..4 men in the room and they don’t do anything about the situation. If Susanna knew so many decent men, why didn’t see marry them herself?? Why did she have to go into someone else’s’ family. What a hypocrite..!! *Very annoyed…*

I’m starting to think this series is over doing it… in a sense it seems fake and annoying with Michelle’s brother crying all of a sudden. Moses and Ha Yu’s fake laughing. Over-dramatic and pointless. This episode revolved around getting the family ‘back together’…I didn’t enjoy this episode very much and Linda’s character is starting to annoy me again… =(
I feel like giving up on this series..

Shirley pulls a prank on them, and takes Yuen Wah and Steven’s pants away.

*Benny’s family finds out that Mimi and Selena are actually girls. I have to say I don’t like the 3 that much anymore after they reverted dressing back as women, because it feels like Selena is avoiding Benny and trying to make the princess happy and pairing up Mimi and Benny instead. Mimi continues to think that Benny likes her, and Benny and Selena just don’t spend much together anymore. Selena and Mimi were still able to keep their identity a secret and were able to take on a different identity from a rich family. Benny’s mother likes Mimi though and hopes she would end up with her son.

Benny’s mother barges into their room wanting to kick them out of her place until she realised they were girls.

Benny tries to tell Mimi about Selena but Selena stops him, saying she doesn’t want to hurt her. She lies to him that Mimi is cursed and she cannot live more than 25 years, so until then, she wants Mimi to be happy..

Benny gives Selena a butterfly clay-work, keeping one each as a matching pair. Mimi sees Selena holding it and Selena tells her that Benny was giving it to her (Mimi)..Benny wasn’t happy..

*Joel’s father gives him a picture of what the princess looks like so it would be easier for Joel to find her. He was amazed by her beauty (..she’s not that pretty lol) Its so funny how he reckons she looks familiar but yet to figure~ haha..but now Selena and Mimi are dressed as girls again, I wonder what his reaction would be if he bumps into her later on..How come he doesn’t go and find Benny etc for revenge?

Benny thought that Selena made him a little bag/sewing, but when he realises that Mimi made it for him instead, he started saying the pctures didn’t match and didn’t want it. After hearing Selena say Mimi spent a lot of effort on it, he keeps it.
*Mimi ends up picking a fight with Shirley, slapping her in the face because Shirley was married to Benny. The two end up causing a big mess at the Benny’s Inscent Burner family business~I thought that scene was quite funny to watch but boy would I feel annoyed~ all that mess! At the end, Benny comes along and stops the situation, standing on Selena and Mimi’s side by yelling back at Shirley and telling her to clean up the mess. Benny is so slack to her …

*The other fate predicting guy is suspecting Yuen Wah and tries to reveal and find out whether he is the one they are looking for.We learn more about Yuen Wah and Rebecca’s story and he find admits to Steven his identity. (My understanding of what happened. Note: May contain errors! Somone please correct me XD)Yuen Wah and Rebecca were not meant to be together; each the descendant of opposing families where each held half to the book of destiny, but they fell in love and went against destiny by eventually getting married. They promised the other not to look at each other’s book and the two, along with their daughter Shirley lived in peace for a little while..The war went on and on and Yuen Wah ends up stepping in to stop the war by looking at Rebecca’s one and ended up making one of the generals as the King (currently). The King eventually wanted the whole book of destiny but Yuen Wah didn’t want to because he wasn’t supposed to predict destiny, so the King sent people after them. Yuen wah ended up giving the book to Rebecca and the three managed to escape but because of some other war at another place, Yuen Wah gets split from Rebecca and his daughter..for almost 20 years until the current day where we find him searching for the two in episode 1. Yuen Wah is suspecting that Rebecca has been saying bad things to Shirley about her father in hope that the family won’t reunite, or it would bring more disaster to them..

*In hope to help his Sifu find out about what had really happened to Shirley’s mother, Steven is trying to pursue Shirley so he can gain her trust. So sweet!! If only he was doing it out of his true heart but I’m sure the two will get together eventually ^^ Steven found out that Shirley really liked the comb she had but it broke…

After the incident with Shirley and Mimi’s fight, Steven helps Shirley clean up the mess. I’m surprised her other friends didn’t help her… They work on it all night..the next morning when Shirley wakes up, she finds the whole place clean and sees a sleeping Steven. When he turns, the comb that she had broke fell out of him..but its fixed!! XD You can tell see was moved! XD

I like how the story is forming together. Joel is on the mission to find the princess, while the other fortune telling guy is after Yuen Wah. I haven’t seen a series with the incient of Benny and Shirley getting married yet don’t end up falling in love with each other..haha..

In order to obtain the Special herb/flower to save Benny, Selena and Mimi sneak into Joel’s place and forces him to hand it over. I was ..very impressed! 0__0 Those girls…wow…they actually fought their way out against all those guards..they got themselves injured, but they were so courageous o.o

At the same time…

Shirley preparing for the wedding ceremony. She was pretty much tricked and forced into it for the sake of saving her friend.

Steven was paid money to carry the chicken representing Benny to get married with Shirley…and so..Shirley has married Benny! What a mix!

At the same time as the wedding ceremony, Selena goes to find Benny in his room and feeds him the herb/flower.

Shortly after, Benny wakes up ^^

What a disaster!~ Benny has woken up to find he has a new wife! Everyone thinks Benny was able to survive because of Shirley’s luck~ I’m not quite sure whether it was Selena or Shirley who saved Benny, but I like to think it was Selena =)

Even though Shirley doesn’t like Benny either, she’s still married to him but the way he treats her is so slack..now they are just pretending to be husband and wife in name, but in reality they live their own way…they pretty much hate each other. I find this quite interesting since typically, the married couple would end up liking each other for real; but it doesn’t look like it for this series~ It looks like a mix and match situation and somehow they are tied together..would this create more conflict in the future?

After finding out Selena was preparing to leave, Benny tries to convince her to stay. He confesses his love for, but Selena tells him that they can’t be together. She comes up with many different excuses; like that he’s already married to Shirley and that she’s being with Mimi ever since.. She also feels that she’s not good enough for him because she is just a servant and she knows his parents would never approve of it. Benny doesn’t care and said he’ll sell everything to get money to free her. He doesn’t know Selena is the Princess’ servant.. Benny says that he’ll talk to Mimi for her and at that moment, Mimi comes in. Benny suggests to take them on a day out where he hopes to find the opportunity to tell her, even though Selena doesn’t want him to.
Benny ends up getting Yuen Wah to help him with some fortune telling and suggesting he story of Mulan to them ~It looked like Benny was hinting to Mimi instead xD Later, Yuen Wah talks to Selena privately, and Selena tells him that she knows Benny paid him to say those words. Yuen Wah tells her out of truth that Benny and Shirley were not meant to be together and encourages her to to accept him.

On the other hand, Benny takes the opportunity to talk to Mimi alone. He tells her how he knew he was a girl already..and Mimi mistakens; thinking Benny likes her from the things he has previously said. When I was watching it, I was thinking ‘this is so misleading!’ He doesn’t mention Selena at all and makes it sound like he likes her all along. Mimi was so shocked XD At this time, Joel appears with his men for revenge, knowing it was Selena and Mimi the other night that attacked him. They tied them on a tree and Joel comments “too bad you’re both men” hahaha…funny..Benny protects Mimi and even crawled under Joel’s legs so he won’t cut Mimi’s face. She was really moved..I have to say, I did wonder what would happen to Joel if he actually cut the Princess’ face. He’ll probably be doomed when the King found out. Or would they get up to that stage? Would Mimi reveal her true identity? They eventually free themselves and makes a run for it but Mimi hurts her legs and he carries her on his back. Benny slips and the two roll down the hill. Luckily Selena found them and they managed to escape.

After this incident, and what Mimi thought as Benny’s confession, Mimi has fallen madly in love with Benny and doesn’t want to leave the city anymore.

Yuen Wah bought clothes for his daughter and got Steven to deliver it to her. When Steven tells her how it was Yuen Wah who helped her switch the birthdaes around to avoid marrying Benny; Shirley’s friend gets really frustrated and blurbs out that Shirley is Yuen Wah’s daughter and not her!~ Very angry at the situation, Shirley grabs the clothes and starts running off. I wonder why she took the clothes… She bumps into Yuen Wah who noticed her holding the clothes he supposely bought for ‘his daughter’. He starts trying to snatch it back and Shirley wildly tears up all the clothing. Steven arrives and tells Yuen Wah that Shirley is actually his daughter…
