Another exciting episode!~~

Benny and Mimi ended up ‘forcing’ the king to let the two be together, because Mimi gets preganant with Benny’s child. She also threatens to kill herself if he won’t let the two be together. Shirley, and Benny’s father find Selena and tells her about Benny’s true identity and ireal motive, and Selena realises that Benny doesn’t actually love the princess, but only using her to become king! On the wedding day, Selena stops them because he doesn’t want him hurting the princess and for Benny to continue going down the wrong path! She tells everyone that Benny is her husband! Benny denies this in front of everyone, saying their wedding ceremony didn’t even finish, so they were not considered married. When Selena says that Benny’s mother was there to witnesses, Benny demands Selena to stop lying because she’s dead already~~When Selena tries to tell the Princess that Benny doesn’t really love her; Selena gets beaten up..Steven was trying to tell her that no matter what she did, she would not be able to change Benny’s mind…

Benny’s father ends up writing a letter to the King, telling him about Benny’s true identity, except that Benny doesn’t know it yet, in hope the King would let Benny go..

Selena and Shirley both end up having a copy of the letter each to try to get it to the king. On one hand, Shirley is captured and is stopped by Benny and who he sees the letter! Benny gets really angry in that he believes his own father has betray him. Shirley tells him that Selena is also on her way to the King and probably already reached him! Why do they always have to do that? It makes himangry, but also makes him aware! Benny dashes off to stop Selena, leaving Steven to get rid of Shirley! Steven ends up burying her alive..

Selena actually got the letter to the king, but changed the letter..not the one telling him his true identity, but hoping Benny can leave the palace with his father because his father has gone sick….hoping to give Benny one more chance…but Benny doesn’t change. When Selena found out that Benny has killed Shirley, she wanted to kill him but gets knocked out from the back. Benny goes to find his father..

Lately my mind has been everywhere..getting distracted with TVB series, trying to focus on my assignments and catching up on work for uni. Then there’s that news about Raymond coming to Sydney which has gotten my really excited lol My birthday is also coming up on the coming Monday ~ I’ll be turning 20 XD In about 4 week’s time, it’ll be my final exams .. I just feel there’s so much to think about. Have to get myself sorted.
I’ve been spending some time brushing up bits and pieces around this blog, like adding in some words next to the episodes in the Devil’s Disciples and ACOD pages. I hope to make a new Winamp skin soon, featuring ACOD characters. Maybe all this will have to wait til Late June. Every time I hear the Face to Face themesong I feel like making screencaptures from there but I try not to think about it too much~don’t really have the time for it lol I wonder if they’ll ever release the full version of the themesong..?
The last episode of A Change of Destiny is airring tonight~! I wonder how the story is going to end~ what kind of fate will Benny have? Death? Or something worse than death? His desire/obessession to become King as swallowed him up and even after given numerous chances to change; he doesn’t. Benny’s plot has been revealed in episode 19 so he shouldn’t have anything left, but I think they still haven’t shown the shot in the opening theme where he was dressed up as the King, I wonder how that would happen? Was the prediction from the Book of Destiny real in that he’ll become King? I’m guessing Benny will become King, but then die shortly or something. Have to see tonight~~ I still have 2 episodes (18,19) posts to put up XD Hopefully I’ll be getting them up soon to keep up-to-date ^^ and after the final episode, I’ll likely put up a post about what I think of the series overall~ like the Devil’s Disciples one I did.
Heart of Greed is the series I feel like watching and giving up on at the same time. There just seems to be so much episodes~and I’m already behind on it while the story is slow-paced.I think I was up to episode 9 somewhere before I couldn’t catch up lol Then I thought about watching it in my spare time myself (TVBJ in Australia is up to episode 20) I’ve been watching bits and pieces since then but I didn’t really want to watch on missing an episode..or its ok to skip episodes? haha~ you can probably see why I’m not sure how to update on HOG episodes, Ieven watched episodes in the wrong order! XD I did watch episode 19 last night though (hoping I’ll see Raymond somewhere but it turns out he doesn’t appear in this episode ^^;) Moses’ real father and mother is revealed to everyone! Looks like the beginning of the downfall! I don’t know how I’m gonna watch this series, I’m so indecisive! Maybe I’ll watch, but likely only make screencaptures on specific episodes or scenes I like. Doing all episodes may be too much~ what do you think?
There were a lot of talk about the King, the Book of Destiny and FengSui…it was mainly between Steven, Benny and the evil fortune teller guy ‘assisting’ the King in predicting the King’s ‘death’, and hopefully a way to prevent this from happening. I couldn’t really focus on what they were talking about..lot of technical terms I think. They devise a plan in hope to trick the king into opening up the grave of the King’s ancestors. Turns out that the Evil Fortunate teller guy himself wanted to become king (can’t really recall his real identity), and he tries to set up this thing~ putting his father’s ashes on top of the King’s ancestors and that soon he would become king himself. At the end, Benny backstabs the Evil Fortune Teller guy with the help of Steven and Shirley was able to get revenge for her parent’s death…as a result, the King gains Benny and Steven’s trust.
This King is so superstitious over the Book of Destiny and I guess its understadable since it was the Book of Destiny that made him King..
So much betrayl, backstabbing and acting..everyone seems to be lying to each other…

Benny’s family business is re-established. Steven and Shirley is suspecting Benny because getting rid of Joel just went too smoothly. Steven and Shirley falls in the Evil Fortune Teller’s trap, gets hallucinations and start seeing the other as the evil fortune teller, and the two end up at each other’s throats. Benny saves the two deliberatly (dressed in black) and Benny later reveals this to Steven. He ends up using Steven to work for him, to help him become king..I’m pretty sure Steven is only ‘acting’ to betray Shirley so that he can gain Benny’s trust…
Benny wants to marry the princess to get closer to the king..when Benny’s father appears and learns of Benny’s plan of becoming King and the way he was treating Selena, he tells Mimi the truth that Selena and Benny were already married and not to go between them~ This causes Mimi to go insane again and when Benny sees this, he pushes Selena aside and hugs the princess..
In addition to that, Steven helps Benny by pretending Steven and Selena were doing something inappropraiate, so that Benny can blame the two in front of Mimi and tell her that he doesn’t like Selena..Steven tells Selena that Benny doesn’t love her anymore and is getting in Benny’s way of being with Mimi. Selena planned to leave because there wasn’t any point of her staying anymore…Benny’s father wants her to stay and insists that Benny keep her here or he’ll leave too, but Benny couldn’t care less. Benny’s father ends up falling ill so Selena offered to stay to look after him until he recovered.

Steven acts like a jerk and causing Shirley to slap him in the face. She thinks that he’s changed but Steven reassures her that he’s always been like this. In the last shot, we see Benny hiding in the bush and watching the two, grinning.

I just finished reading an article at TVBMusings on his interpretation of the ending, leaving me feeling shocked! 0___0 *eyes wide-opened* It seems to make perfect sense in the situation! I don’t know if that was TVB’s intention or whether the random finding just happens to fit in as well…but one point I think put the pieces together in my mind was that Tavia never confirmed or told Bosco about her being pregnant. Bosco seemed to assume this, and even I wasn’t really convinced when I watched it because Tavia never admitted it herself. The sudden years later and Tavia and Bosco getting back together was a bit rushed too. We don’t see how/why they got back together… Even though I refuse to believe Jessica had given birth to Michael’s baby, its still a possibility. If Jessica was really pregnant for the first year, that must mean she didn’t send any postcards/photos back then… Having Bobby carry the baby would be more symbolic too…OR this had fitted together by chance and Jessica really did leave just to get away..I like to think its the latter ^^

So sad that Yuen Wah and Rebecca die in this episode..beaten , poisoned and stabbed to death. Saddest thing was that Shirley couldn’t see them for the last time before they left..why couldn’t Yuen Wah wait a bit longer until Shirley came?? =( Benny is so evil~~ I don’t care that Benny ‘didn’t want’ them to die; he still betray them for his own selfish desires… did he feel at lest a bit guilty? They were his friends who helped him!!! >___<
Hate Benny's character~~he's taking advantage of his friends to steal the secret of the Book fo Destiny off them..he uses Selena trusts him as opportunity to get close to the princess without Selena complaning etc, because they make it sound like its for the best for the princess...they decided to keep the fact that they were married a secret from her. Benny managed to get closer to the king, and suggested to re-establish their Inscent factory near the Palace because that is where the princess had spent her happy moments, in hope for the Princess to recover earlier. In order to marry the princess, Benny sets everything up to get rid of Joel. Personally I didn't feel much injustice dealt to Joel, considering all the bad things he did. Eitherway..he's gone now.
