Synopsis
A rich woman TSEUNG TIN NGOR (Maggie Shiu)’s beloved dog CANDY has got behaviour problems since NGOR is being kidnapped. After released, NGOR takes CANDY for various medical treatments but none of them is helpful to cure its illness. Desperate NGOR finally finds LAI TSUN SING (Kent Cheng), a retired police canine officer, who has just opened a kennel in the walled village. NGOR asks SING to give CANDY training but it creates discord between both of them. When CANDY’s condition is getting better and better, NGOR is pleased and shows deference toward SING. NGOR feels obscured of the kidnapping and she misconceives that the landlord of the kennel, CHOW YUNG KUNG (Steven Ma), is one of the kidnappers. SING gets his trained dog BINGO carrying out an investigation. They finally prove that KUNG is innocent. KUNG appreciates Sing’s efforts and he starts joining the course for learning how to be a dog lover. LAI SIN YUE (Linda Chung), SING’s veterinarian daughter, is aware of her feeling towards him since then.

Gah! Not sure If I’m looking forward to this.The plot doesn’t really sound like my cup of tea but on the other hand, Linda and Steven are being coupled together again which should be good since they were so cute in A Journey Called Life (I think that’s what its called.. can’t remember since its been ages!). Linda’s boyish portrayal based on the picture is going to be quite interesting too I reckon. I think I’ll give this a shot based on your reviews ktvb so hope to hear from you soon on this series!
So far so good!!! Very funny … and it’s a different role for Steven to play a guy like that … can’t wait to see how the rest turns out!!!

I’m with Dolly on this. Steven and Linda were great in A Journey Called Life so when I saw that they were gonna be couple up again I was so happy! But the storyline.. mmm maybe it’ll be different than what the summary is like. Like the summary for A Journey Called Life was just bleh lol but it turned out good (:

It’s actually an ok series! I’ve just started watching The Season Of Fate and it’s kind of silly and the casting is kind of ridiculous! But I find myself wanting to watch more of A Watchdog’s Tale!
p.s. Linda looks so much better with long hair (as in girly style) but she has done this tombot role really well. It’s also great to see Steven acting in a very different role!
eventually i just finished watching this serie and its really enjoying and exciting as on the last episode u could finally see her hair long which is better than a short tomboy hair

I just finished this series and I think it’s a series that should be watched! I love it! Maybe some things might not happen in real life but it’s a very clever and enjoyable storyline! I’m actually now totally into Steven’s series! Linda and Steven really make a great on-screen couple. The chemistry is there and they just look great and matching together. I do hope to see another series with Steven and Linda together. Even my mum, who has absolute no interest in animals enjoyed it! I highly recommend this series!!!

I had just finished the movie, I really like it! something very fresh for a change the whole pets topic. The movie was very funny and cute, all characters were very ‘lovable’ besides Steven’s ex gf she was quite scary lol. I love steven and linda as a couple they were very cute to watch, i was disappointed that they didnt show much of their wedding instead they focused more on natalie’s and raymond’s one.
overall i loved it! oh love the themesong too, im still hunting for that english song in steven and linda’s scenes. 😀

Good old times! I miss Linda sooo much, this really brings back memories. I just watched it again at dramatic.se and thank god for english subtitles!
