The two following parts were my favourite scenes in episode 1. They made me all teary and it really gained my sympathy for the characters :<

A Fistful of Stances- Episode 1

A helpless pregnant woman holds an umbrella and walks in the rain at night in hope to search for her two kidnapped sons. Her parents have been murdered and her husband goes missing after going to find the murderer.

A Fistful of Stances- Episode 1

All Tavia has left is her children…unfortunately she was not able to save her eldest son :< Poor Tavia!!

***

The other sad moment I found was when Tavia’s father was telling off “Pai Jeung” from stuffing-up the lion dancing because he got too nervous. His words were so harsh and he trashed him like he was worthless!! He really tried though!! All he wanted was to prove himself worthy and to show his wife and son his performance. I felt so sorry him ~ and he subsequently wanted to leave. It was touching to see Tavia’s father accept him back and taught him another fighting technique.

A Fistful of Stances- Episode 1

I have a feeling this series is going to be one of those really emotional, heart-felt series- looking forward to seeing more of it!

i thought i was the only slow one, i’m still on episode one hahaha, can’t wait to see more of it, from all the promotion and interviews i’ve watched,it looks like a very very emotional series with a whole lotta crying hahah. i just wish tavia was in the series for more episodes instead of just a guest star

      *Hi 5*
lol Trust me, I’ve progressed to Episode 11 now XD Very bad of me since my exams are coming up in 4 weeks and I gotta concentrate on that. This series is just SOOO GOOD! I cried so much watching this series. I have to come off this addiction and focus on some study :< There's still a lot of Tavia flashback scenes and I always see Tavia in Yuen Qiu 🙂

  • chibi says:

woah, from those screenshots it does look pretty sad =(

So nice seeing Tavia there, it’s a shame she doesn’t play a main role.

    • KTVB says:

Yea I really like watching Tavia! Everytime I see Yuen Qiu though, I can see Tavia inside her, i.e I’m convinced they’re the same character ^^

The screenshot of tavia strongly stare to someone is so emotional and touching. HEr looking here is so natural. First, i think this series is that funny material art series that i not enjoyed that much. In contrast, there are so much drama expert for me, so i must look forward to it.

    • rachel says:

i agree!!! her eyes are so much more real than in BTROC! i still liked her as ‘yiu gam ling’ but just by her eye contact, it’s so real, you can feel the anger and sadness and everything mixed in her expression!

  • karened says:

Tavia looks so beautiful here! We don’t usually see her in pre-modern dramas huh.
