[No Regrets] Episode 11-15 Thoughts

  • Sheren’s true nature and back story is revealed! She’s a true heroine 🙂 I always knew there would be good inside of her. I miss the days when she was scary and evil though, but I’m relieved to see that we have such a strong powerful woman like ‘Gou Goo Leung’ aiding Wayne when needed.
  • I thought Sheren’s move was quite risky! Burning down the drug warehouse right after that recording and then going to Hong Kong to try “save the situation”. Could she really close down all the drug businesses? Would that excuse work? Would her father find her suspicious after all this? Could it be that easy? I was quite amused watching Susan because what she was saying about Sheren was  right haha but she didn’t seem convincing enough to Elliot hehe

  • The scene at the end of episode 12 was another dramatic one! When her father gave her the power to run the drug business, Sheren gave orders to close them all down- the excuse being “the Japanese people  might attack soon”. Susan and her gang were opposing her and planned to overthrow her power.  Sheren was in such a dangerous position, surrounded by so many people and then Wayne appears to protect her! : D I was so touched XD This scene resembled the one in RB1 where Sheren went to save Wayne and took him away when he was surrounded by men who wanted to burn him down after he was accused of raping Nancy. I particularly liked this scene because Wayne was more manly in this series, and he stood up to protect Sheren (other way around in RB1). Even though Sheren is a gangster woman, I felt she was a vulnerable in that scene and needed someone like Wayne to protect her:) GO WAYNE!
  • I started to worry about Sheren, especially when she was slowly losing the trust of those who backed her up- her father, after hearing the recording, and “Tit-Jie” after Susan started arousing suspicion in her . Nancy was annoying as ever in these episodes- I really disliked her character.  I fear Nancy may cause Sheren’s downfall!

  • If the Japanese people not attack GuangZhou..I wonder what would happened to Sheren and her plan..Would they really close down the drug business with the perception that the Japanese people ‘might’ take over? What would Elliot do..?

  • I love the church scenes that Wayne and Sheren share together. It’s peaceful and quite romantic. I can see the real genuine side of Sheren who shares her thoughts and feelings, worries and everything with Wayne. I remember seeing similar scenes with Sheren and Wayne in RB1 and I like the references to RB1 where Sheren would start imitating what Wayne had said 🙂
  • It feels like Wayne and Sheren already have something going on between them. There’s so much chemistry when the two look at each other and Wayne always looks so concerned and worried about her. They have developed such a strong bond!! It was interesting scene when Wayne took Sheren and Nancy in their home- Sheren was a complete goodie goodie and seemed like she could really be herself, carefree and happy with so much friends and company. you would never see her that happy at her own home.

  • One of the cutest scenes was in episode 15 where Sheren finds out the lie Wayne had told Evergreen about Sheren liking him etc -haha it was very cute XD Wayne was so embarrassed and Sheren’s reaction was funny too. I didn’t mind that scene at all even though Evergreen was so “amused” (he thought he was humiliating Wayne) by what Wayne said because we know it’s not true- it’s not that bad considering there was only a couple of them there and I like the idea of Wayne and Sheren being a couple anyway hahaXD

  • The Japanese have finally taken over China. Some of the scenes in these episodes were depressing to watch. It felt like the story suddenly lost its sense of direction when everyone is only worried about the war. Hopefully the series will continue to pick up again now we’re heading into a whole new level in the story with the Japanese domination

awhhhh im dying for this serie to be dub into vietnamese. i really like all the pictures in these pic. nice job…the story sounds amazing so far! im super glad it’s not a disapointing one with all the hype and all

Wayne and Sheren have amaaaazing chemistry! He looks at her with such care and concern and I love that Sheren shares her true thoughts with him too.

My favourite scene had to be the one where Fei Fan Kor was going to kill them and Sheren came barging in with her people. The way she offered him money as long as he released Fala and then turning arnd so quickly and telling her ppl to beat him up was just so kick-ass! This woman is super kick-ass! 😀

I really really REALLY wish someone would just kill Fei Fan. I mean, he’s been saved fr death a thousand times and ya think he’d be grateful and stop being such a douche bag but noooo of course he doesn’t so someone needs to kill him off. It’s only logical 😛 but i know he’s there to carry plot lines along.. doesn’t make him any more tolerable though!

It may be just me, and maybe this will be an unpopular opinion, but I am starting to dislike Ching Ching. I find Fala’s portrayal of her to be a bit annoying and I feel like she’s always the cause of all problems. I think Fala shines best in roles where she has to be a bit snide and bitchy 🙂

Keep these thought posts coming!I love reading them (prolly because we share similar opinions!) 🙂

    • Chibi says:

Don’t worry Ri, I feel the same about Fala’s character…

    • hannah says:

OH YES! if i’m not wrong, that’s episode 14 right? totally love that scene, when wayne was “confessing” LOL! 😀 he was super shy about it ah! ^^

and haha, the part when ching ching hugged yeung yeung, maybe i’m busy fangirling or what, but i think wayne wanted to hug sheren HAHA! ok, ignore me lol. 😛

episode 14 seriously kicked some ass! 😀

    • KTVB says:

Hi Ri 🙂 Glad to hear we share similar opinions! I actually don’t like Fala’s character much either..i TREY to sympathise with her and try to like her because she’s Wayne’s little innocent sister. She’s ok in some scenes, but others are kinda annoying..and is a burden for everyone..

  • wewah says:

It was nice to see that Sheren was able to join Wayne group and develop a relationship with the others. This shows, the lifestyle that she never mind having, compared to a family that she needed to watch out 24/7.

    • Chibi says:

Yeah I liked those bonding moments too 🙂 It looks like Sheren had a good time there and it’s nice that everyone seems to like her now and their views of her have changed.

    • hannah says:

i believe that sheren was feeling true to herself when she was at ju long lei, the only time she can let her guard down. 😀 first time i see her smiling and laughing so happily! and she looks very pretty when she smiles. 😀

    • KTVB says:

Yup!! At least some people can get to know the “real” her and know she’s a good person- at least easy to get along with etc 🙂

  • faithict says:

I really like the scenes where sheren shared her true self and her thoughts with Wayne…as KTVB mention before it looks like this is the opposite side of RB. In RB, Sheren was there to protect Wayne most of the times while in NR it is the other way round. If you watched carefully, it seems like the characters were switched between Sheren and Wayne. In RB, Sheren holds the good character from the beginning till the end while Wayne, although he holds the good character but one can see that he has gone through a lot of difficulties in life… In NR, Wayne is the all-good character while Sheren still hold the smart character but dealt with both good and evil side…

My overall thoughts for this 11-15 episodes can be said as pretty interesting and sweet..I was sitting at the edge of my chair when i saw that “tit jie” started to doubt Sheren actions…That means for the past couple of years before Sheren get to know Wayne, she doesn’t really have one true friend who she can trust. After this conversation with Wayne at the church, it was so sweet of Wayne to offer himself to accompany Sheren to deal with the drug dealers…Sheren-Wayne chemistry in these few episodes are amazing..the way Wayne look and talk to Sheren, we can tell that he really cares for her and her safety especially after he knows her real intention…the time that they spend together are the church is so sweet and peaceful, where they can talk about their thoughts and everything; a little bit romantic as well, really love how Wayne looks at Sheren each time..

As of Nancy character, it is still as annoying as ever…i do not like any of her scenes up to now…i know that she is holding the evil character but i really hope that she will be less annoying here…. another character that I really dislike is fei fan gor…i thought he would have repented when Wayne said that he should be dealt using the police way instead of passing him to the gangster. And yet time after time, fei fan gor is always trying ways to harm both sheren and wayne, and now become a spy for the japanese people? what’s next?

I hope that they do not concentrate too much on the Japanese War…there are a few scenes from these episodes that were depressing to watch and somehow i felt that NR got side track for a moment..hopefully the story will get back to its original story line..can’t wait to continue watching the rest of NR… 🙂

    • KTVB says:

I totally agree with you faithict :)Wayne was so sweet to offer to protect her because he really wanted to 🙂

A lot of their secrets are leaked at the Church- hopefully TVB won’t anyone sneak in and hear any of this..it is open to the public after all lol
The candle lights make it romantic too!

I have concluded that Fei Fan Gor will never change/ learn his lesson..

  • Chibi says:

Nice screencaps and summary K 😀
I can’t say the story is actually getting better, but I’m still thoroughly enjoying it. These few episodes didn’t feel as intense as the first five but the chemistry & relationship between Wayne and Sheren is amazing 🙂 I found Sheren’s backstory rather intriguing, and it is pretty touching how much Nancy’s mother helped Sheren when they were little kids… really sad that she became addicted to drugs herself.

I also agree that these few episodes dedicated to the Japanese invasion feeling very off track. It’s no longer about Sheren’s power and place, but moreso of the well being of China and people living their lives in fear. It’s pretty sad and scary being in that situation and I think the drama did well to reflect that mood. But…2 full episodes about bombing..? It’s making me want it to be over so we can focus more again on Sheren’s efforts and how she deals with the mafia.

I think Fala’s character is kinda annoying now, I don’t really like watching her much. While her relationship with Raymond is kinda cute, it’s draggy. It feels like their whole love story is already laid out with blanket: They have some crush on each other since childhood, but she has an illness and doesn’t want to burden anyone. Raymond wants to be there for her, but know his mother isn’t too happy about it. The end..? I hope Fala’s character has more substance, and not just become a heavy burden to everyone, being all fragile, weak and all…

But of course, the most annoying of the annoying is no doubt Nancy and Evergreen. Every time Nancy opens her mouth I feel like slapping her XD Immature, silly & irresponsible, she’s nothing but a nuisance. It’s becoming unbearable every time she appears on screen…and Evergreen? When will he die? lol I hope this is the last time we see him, I’m sick of him getting arrested and always escaping. I too, found the scene where Wayne tells Evergreen Sheren has a crush on him very amusing.. lol

Is it just me or does anyone else hope Pierre made more appearance? It’s a shame that after so much intense screentime and character development in the first couple of episodes, his character totally got faded into the background. I hope he becomes more significant soon!

    • Ri says:

Ditto on the Fala being annoying thing! It’s always the same ol same ol with her and I feel like we’re constantly being reminded tht yes, she has a heart problem and yes, she can’t b with Raymond.. to be honest, Fala hasn’t been very impressive yet!

I know Nancy deserves it but everytime I see Sheren telling Nancy off, I cringe because I just KNOW it’s all going to build up in Nancy and one day she’s going to burst and cause Sheren’s downfall :/ Have to say though, Nancy is a pretty versatile actress. She was flirty in RB1, spoilt in RB2 and in Gun Metal Grey, she’s tough and straightforward. Not bad 😛

I hope Pierre gets a meaty story soon too!

      • Chibi says:

haha really? I thought Nancy keeps playing as slutty roles.. xDD

        • Ri says:

haha yea u should check her out in Gun Metal Grey. tough policewoman 😛

nah, i think she’s more spoilt and bratty than slutty in RB2. even the whole she’s only 21/22 and didn’t hv a proper upbringing can’t save her anymore -.-

        • Madeline says:

yeah nancy is really improving really much. She really can get into her characters from two different shows, quite intersting to see 🙂

      • hannah says:

will pierre’s character get more development soon? o.O”’ he was such a stand-out in the first 3 eps. but i read that tvb doesn’t have any intention of promoting pierre for now, so… :/ wonder if that had to do with pai guat fading into the bg after the 1st 3 eps. 🙁

        • Chibi says:

Oh..if that’s the case, that would be really such a waste =_= Man I hope they use Pierre more in the coming episodes………..

    • KTVB says:

Well said Chibi, well said 🙂 Totally agree with you there!

I want more Pierre spotlight too =(

  • hannah says:

i hate it when fala keeps reading her diary! it’s soooo draggy… i read that she’s going to ___ soon, so hope that happens quickly enough!

ok, i’m being very bad here, but i really want to see more sheren + wayne scenes! i must say that both of them have really a lot of chemistry! i love the way they look into each other’s eyes. <33333 and haha, dun worry! the story gets better without fala reading her diary. 😀 watched up till ep 18 now. love it, because hahaha… 🙂

    • Chibi says:

I agree, I find reading the diary pretty boring and it’s used so frequently.. I don’t think it adds much value to the story, or Fala’s character because her character is so transparent and predictable. Even without the first person diaglouge, we already know how she feels and what she thinks of people. Can it be anymore obvious?

    • KTVB says:

I like some of the diary stuff when its used to describe passing of time, and what everyone is doing etc I don’t mind it so much…but the ones with her and Raymond can get quite boring =<

  • Moonriversp says:

Would for see this as black horse for the 43rd anniversary this year. I love the way Wayne acted as he really could portrays a very strong characteristic person in his role. Whilst Sheren too had shown her very strong Big Sis role. Some told me that they would never watch NR as the artist is not as outstanding type (i.e Raymond or Bosco)I would put my 2 thumbs up for this series.
