Official Synopsis

Each takes one’s place, does one’s duty. In a hospital, each takes the noble mission of safeguarding life irrespective of one’s position.

Facing his dying patients and FAN TZE-YU (Tavia Yeung), who falls ill during her pregnancy, CHEUNG YAT-KIN (Kenneth Ma) persistently shoulders all the responsibilities, which overly burden him so that he is out of breath. Meanwhile, he re-encounters LOK MAN-SAN (Lawrence Ng), a long-retired medical expert, who has a divergence of opinions. On top of that, TZE-YU suffers miscarriage as a result of a recurring of illness, so she has to give up her career as a surgeon. All of these send massive shockwaves rippling out through YAT-KIN’s journey of life.

In order to make YAT-KIN realize the true essence of not being so persistent and living the day to the fullest, TZE-YU is determined to change her major to learn a new subject. For a moment, YAT-KIN can hardly accept it. However, he notices that YEUNG PUI-CHUNG (Him Law), HUNG MEI-SUET (Mandy Wong) and the others have gradually grown mature, and each of them manages to assume the individual responsibility as a doctor. In addition, with the inspiration and encouragement received from MAN-SAN and TZE-YU, YAT-KIN finally comes to realize that being a doctor is just like a fighter. Only through the awareness of one’s own capabilities and performing due diligence can one safeguard others’ lives.

各司其職，各安其位，醫院內無論哪一個工作崗位，都是保衛生命的鬥士！

面對著垂危的病人，帶病有孕的范子妤(楊怡)，張一健(馬國明)執著地要把一切全都扛在肩上，沉重得令他難以喘息。此時再遇意見不合，封刀多時的大國手洛文笙(吳啟華)，而子妤又病發流產，被逼放棄外科醫生的崗位，這一切都讓一健在人生路途上受到莫大的衝擊。

子妤為了讓一健明白到放下執著，活在當下的真諦，毅然轉科重新學習。一健霎時難以接受，但看著從前的楊沛聰(羅仲謙)和洪美雪(黃智雯)等人日漸成長，各 自成為獨當一面的醫生，在文笙與子妤的啟發下，一健終於明白到一個醫生就如一位鬥士，要知道自己的能力，守著自己的崗位，才能保衛別人的生命!

    hi ktvb.R u going to review this?I liked the first series but have not read the synopsis for this.Also sometimes when i post my post are erased from existence.

    I just watched the first 2 episodes and it does remind me of the prequel a lot.

    I’ve forgotten most of the characters actually haha and had to try figure who/how people were related to each other XD

    It is also interesting to see Mandy and Him law’s characters mature and Tavia/Kenneth as loving as ever.

    I’m finding the series pretty slow though- maybe I’m just not a big fan of hospital shows.

    I’m considering not watching the rest of it although it would be interesting to see how the relationship aspect of the characters develop.

      You said the same thing as my friend! (about the pace being slow)
      I watched 5 episodes and I think the story picks up from Epi 3.
      Just a little disappointed that they decided to pair Lawrence Ng with Rebecca Zhu because she obviously shows no potential for acting till now.

      Another downfall is probably the newbies this time round. I find all (character-wise) to be pretty boring and their acting is quite off-standard.

      I do hope they do not ruin the name of this series, since the seniors seem interesting.

        hehe I ended up watching episode 3 and 4 as well since I had a bit of time. The story does seem to pick up. A lot of sad, touching scenes..watching Kenneth and Tavia so lovey dovey and yet so tragic (regarding Tavia’s health) is so depressing and tear-jerking lol >.< That's Tracy Chu (not Rebecca Zhu)- I think this is her debut? Personally don't like watching her either; nor the other newbies in the series. I also felt they cut scenes here and there (or is this deliberate)? For example, at the end of episode 2, Lawrence sees Tracy crying outside. The next time they meet in episode 3, he says to her 'you want to find out more about Monica?" (implying she did last time) Weird....??

    Hi, does anyone know the subtheme used in episode 9 with Him Law and the girls? Happens about mid way through the episode. Goes like: “when you call, when you call, something inside of me begins to fall”. Been looking everywhere, many thanks! 🙂

    This coming Sunday has 2 chapters (The End) so sad and I don’t know MAH MENG can die or not. Very Sad!!

      I’m so behind in this series ^^; Up to episode 14 or so..I don’t enjoy watching this series much- it gets a bit dull and depressing to watch.

      I am interested to find out what happens to all the characters in the end though. Maybe I’ll read up spoilers later on!
